Greedy corporations has gotten us here. They start them all high, then end up on eBay for more. Eventually end up at Ross or Ollie’s where toys go to die.
Yeah I’m kind of sick going into Walmart and target seeing the same old crap. And the lack of inventory. Stuff is being held back by employees for their buddies or for themselves. And they turn around and re-sell them. Little do they know stuff isn’t moving like they think. Everyone else doing the same shhs.
i did the same thing, i said, bye to walmart and target,.......they the stupid employee tried to tell me that $ 19.50, for a DC MULTIVERSE, ACTION FIGURE, IS A SALE ITEM FROM $ 22.99, that's a lot of balloon butts,.....if you add it up you go back to the same idiotic $21 or $ 22 bucks,......so no thank you, i go to ross and burlington, forever, target and walmart very less, not a lot,.....plus i get a senior discount on Tuesdays because I'm a senior, not a young lad,.........(I'm a grandpa, not a teen or adult teen),............marius(punk rules).
Tell you what, Target & Walmart do not have enough employees to put up stock on time in my area. I don’t have to get up early in the morning anymore because stock doesn’t go up til 1-2 in the afternoon. Resellers are stuck because now everyone is getting a shot at new product. Then you got the folks hiding stuff as well, which I appreciate when I run up on there stash spot 😂.
You know, you hear all these eBay sellers complaining well I have to charge high prices on my items because eBay charges such high tax and the shipping is outrageous. No, just stop! Here's how it works, higher prices = higher shipping = higher tax rate for eBay. If the sellers would quit trying to make 20 times over the actual market value of the items they are selling, the shipping would be lower and the taxes would be lower. Don't let them bullshit you. It works exactly the same way in the live market. You're right eBay is supposed to supplement your income not be your secret gold rush that sustains your entire lifestyle. You don't get anywhere in business by taking advantage of and shitting on your customers, this is one reason why a lot of small businesses fail because some people do not have the predisposition to even speak kindly to a customer much less give them a small advantage to make them feel like they're getting a good deal. Just sayin. 👊🏻⚡
Even online buying is unpredictable now. Hasbro waves being delayed, no street dates are imposed, and new figures that came into stock two weeks ago are going on discount for 35% off! A lot is being devalued in the real market and inflated in the secondary.
You nailed it, Uncle Tim. I have not set one foot in Target and Walmart this Christmas season. I have been to Ollie's several times. I was just there today.
Here in East TN. The Man Collects finds all the stuff I want. It's never there when I'm there. So I gave up. The stores never have shit. This year, I bought all my stuff off Amazon & BBTS.
You can’t even collect from a thrift store anymore resellers are snatching them up and selling them at extortionate prices. It doesn’t even matter how early you are because they got insider knowledge.
This is pretty much what I have done. I no longer collect the way I used to. Setting aside that it’s almost impossible to find things at stores because people buy up all the stock and then resale and mark it up. I’ve just about stopped collecting all together.
Walmart and Target are not part of my regular regiment anymore. The distribution to these toy lines are getting ridiculous, especially Hasbro. Getting everything online takes a bit of the fun of collecting
I grabbed the Howard the duck figure at Ollie's. I personally was shocked and didn't know there was a Howard figure! Any 80s baby would know there was only 1 Version of Howard back in the day and got sued because Howard looked too much like Donald the duck.
Same with me. I only collect the Jakks Pacific Super Mario and Sonic The Hedgehog action figures. Along with the Jada Toys Mega Man action figures. Stock has been pretty bad at my local Target and Walmart locations.
In the old days of ebay flippers were few and would charge reasonable markups on collectables. Since youtubers started making stupid videos to get clicks about making tonnes of money flipping any old thing ebay became flooded with teenage muppets who just ran up asking prices like crazy. It all went downhill from there.

💯💯💯
Back in 2007 - 2009 I was getting rare stuff cheap on Ebay. Miss those days.

I rather quit collecting then buy from a greedy reseller
Right 👍
Eat a big one

What's pretty wild is Christmas is only 12 days away! I still don't have my tree up. LOL

Take the stash lol anything you don't buy back on shelf... That's what I do
Pre-ordering from amazon before it becomes inflated and avoid the hunt where everything is scalped; less headaches for me

I wish we had a Walmart and target 🎯
Target got me with those secret wars figs, I had to get them
The problem for me isnt the money but the fact they never have what i want 😂 and the fact that space is limited

Picked up that Transformers JP Jeep/Dilo 2 pack for $15 at Ollie's last week. I was hoping Amazon would price drop, but Ollie's beat em to it.
Uncle Tim in the house in full effect!!!
Walmart and Target are not part of my regular regiment anymore. The distribution to these toy lines are getting ridiculous, especially Hasbro. Getting everything online takes a bit of the fun of collecting
The only place I've ever been that had everything I want and more was Japan. And now everyone is going there too. 😝
Tell them unc!
I grabbed the Howard the duck figure at Ollie's. I personally was shocked and didn't know there was a Howard figure! Any 80s baby would know there was only 1 Version of Howard back in the day and got sued because Howard looked too much like Donald the duck.
😂 they got what I need, wipe me down!
I quit collecting. I'm only focused on buying some Spiderboy.
We've been screwed for generations.
I wanted the street sharks but when….I saw the price 👀 I finally for the first time walked away.
It’s tuff to collect now and days! You really have to hunt down figures! Or else pay those scalper prices
I haven't had any problems with prices since I buy Mario figures from Target. They don't have what I want in regards to what I'm looking for.
Same with me. I only collect the Jakks Pacific Super Mario and Sonic The Hedgehog action figures. Along with the Jada Toys Mega Man action figures. Stock has been pretty bad at my local Target and Walmart locations.
@@JCGROOVEZ same with my Target. I hear about all these big Neca Ninja Turtles releases, but they’re never there. Same with the MegaMan figures.
I only buy online. mostly old toys. As far as i'm concerned stores are for food an clothes.
Walmart and target never had shit collectible wise shipments be late af by months
ive never had any luck at the one ollies we have and of course we got one goodwill and its trash.
