    Jeff, This is a very practical and informative test drive. I would like to see you repeat the same route with other models to compare mpg. I would guess the Camry LE would get similar results and the Corolla Hybrid would be well into the 50+ mpg range. BTW closing in on 40K subscribers.

    FYI: On average, the on-board MPG rating is 2 to 3% higher than what you are actually getting. This is due to evaporative loss and expansion and contraction of fuel with changing temperature. So 35.9 mpg will most likely be 34.8 mpg (nothing to shake a stick at), but the computer is not going to be 100% accurate.

    Listen Jeff i get 11 miles to the gallon with my 2004 jeep grand Cherokee. So to get 33 combined in a Toyota Corolla thats a deal braker to me. I drove a Toyota Corolla SE with just a Key and let me tell u i was blown away such a smooth ride. And the seats in a Toyota Corolla to me beats the seats hands down in a honda civic. I also agree with u on the raised screen i thought it would be a massive annoyance but its not that at all. Its works well with safety and thats what i love the most about Toyota all in all you guys take safety so much more important then any other car brand out there in life. And that’s wonderful if u ask me. Also reliable is important to me. And u guys have this too in the Toyotas u guys make. The Corolla is so reliable that decades i feel this car would last me. A long time. Al in all i think a Toyota Corolla SE is the car for me.

      I use to drive 1998 Jeep Cherokee. Love that Cherokee but driving on highway speed more that 60MPH is horrible. In order to get good MPG and have smooth ride, you have to drive less that 55MPH. My Jeep was completely stock and super well maintained. Don’t get me wrong for 22 year old vehicles and being reliable, is what make Cherokee so special.
      Got 2020 Corolla LE and I’m impress how smooth and comfortable is driving 70MPH speed. Love the MPG and how bright are those LED lights on Corolla.

    I am getting 35 to 38 Mpg on my 2020 Rav4. I love it. City mileage for me is worse than posted but that’s because I have more stop and go then normal. Normal city driving is about 27-30.

    Will the 2021 Corolla LE be able to do a 485 mile, all highway (Cleveland to NYC) trip on one tank full, using cruise control at 65 to 70 mph? I recently rented an Altima SR, which gave me 45 mpg highway and made this trip on 3/4 of a tank of gas! I was pleasantly surprised!

    I don't like that Toyota went with a tablet attached to the dash just like other vehicles. Hopefully they don't do that to the next generation Camry. It just looks so tacky.

    • @thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947
      @thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The new Camry is that great that it doesn't need a new generation at all for now.
      The Prius needs a redesign instead, that would be one thing. A new C-HR would also be neat.

      @@thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947 Yeah true, I hope they keep the Camry looking the way it is for a few more years. I like how the infotainment is embedded into the dashboard instead of a tablet. Toyota should have done that to the Corolla.
