Mapache has been my favorite band since the week they released their album. Nothing beats talented writers with two acoustic guitars and beautiful harmonies.
Once I noticed that the sound and edits varied from session to session, I took note of the ones I liked, and they were all engineered by Kevin Suggs. :)
For sure the harmonies are reminiscent of CSNY. Also early Eagles, the Byrds, pretty much the whole early 70's Laurel Canyon scene. Super interesting and pleasant to listen to, derivative yet original in the best way.
Totally MOXY FROUVOUS (sounding) in the best way! But wonderfully different too. Awesome! Whoa! These two babies (fabulously young) are stunning guitar players and have lovely voices. Thanks, KEXP for bringing them to my ears!
C. Travis Mitchell they remind me of this particular group m.th-cam.com/video/KojhrlRzwdw/w-d-xo.html they are Mexican musicians. but I love the musical style Mapache!! Good folk!
Maybe they would be too much alike for the same show, but these guys should go on tour opening for Milk Carton Kids. SCRATCH THAT: These guys, Milk Carton Kids, and Gilian Welch & Dave Rawlings should do a tour together. Holy. Shit. My head would explode.
Please release an acoustic recording like this, this actually sounded better and more fuller with the natural acoustic guitar bass than the studio ver (not saying i dislike those, theyre great!! but these are special)
These two are so talented. I'm glad they are branching out too. Vocals and playing shine. Check out Grateful Shred if you haven't already too. Killer versions of many Dead songs.
The guys from Grateful Shred! This is beautiful! Their acoustic skills are are fabulous and their guitars have a wonderful tone. They smoked a joint then all of a sudden were able to speak Spanish lol 😆
It's almost a blend of Lennon & McCartney ... mixed with Henley and Frey! Their guitar and harmonies are hypnotizing! Really was surprised I had never heard of these guys before now... this is 100% up my alley. Good dudes performing good music for the love of music.
A contre-courant de tout, à bas la mode, vive les artistes qui ont des idées à vivre et à partager. J'aime cette mouette qui surfe sur ce courant d'airs folks
Remind me my trips to LA a couple of years ago. Signed: a French lad living in a tiny island in the Indian ocean. Just love "In the morning light". Mapache, are you planning a tour in Europe soon ?
Very good! BTW the guy on the left plays upside-down like Albert King and others but with a lot of chords. Pretty impressive! He looks like J Mascis' nephew
So I gotta ask, is he playing a righty guitar upside but still tuned like a righty guitar? Or did he tune it "correctly" just leaving the high E string as-is, tuning the B string as the A string, etc. etc.?
great performance!! ... but what the heck.. long haired guy plays the guitar not only left handed, the strings are attached like on a right hand guitar... never seen something like this
Awesome perf! Can someone please tell me what they're singing at the end of the first verse of Chico River : "Redwood ???? while air make me talk slow"
You guys are fucking amazing! And Grateful Shred is arguably better than the Grateful Dead! So much love! Come to Nashville Tennessee and let's book a show, or I'll just come see y'all play!
This is now my favorite video of all time. Mapache rocks
Polished performance. Sam and Clay are true professional musicians. Send them money.
i have a better idea. send me money.
@@SillyGoose2024 dont be a silly goose
nothing on earth is more beautiful than the sound of two acoustic guitars speaking to each other
Grateful Shred?
It is just a box of rain, I don't know who put it there
yesh
2/6!
Mapache has been my favorite band since the week they released their album. Nothing beats talented writers with two acoustic guitars and beautiful harmonies.

That extended guitar jam during In The Morning Light, GOTTTT DAYYYYUUUM SON 🔥🔥😵
Props to Audio Engineer: Kevin Suggs

Rafael Gaino Yes! The sound is phenomenal! Very rich. Did as good as Phil Spector in my opinion
ORTF pair and a dynamic vocal. ez pz
Nice!
I saw Grateful Shred on TH-cam first. These guys are great. So young and talented. Looking forward to seeing them when they come to NY in July.
Saw them live with Allah las and omg... they’re so touching. 💓✨
so good
Aquellos ojos verdes 😍😍😍 beautiful vocal harmonies! Just like 40's & 50's trios Mexicanos.
These guys are great a little bit of Crosby, stills, and Nash but definitely doing there own thing love it
The sound of a tv story lol😆
I don't ever remember Crosby stills and Nash ever singing in Spanish. But, ok! 😎
Grateful Mind, Stills has sung a lot in Spanish, including on Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.
For sure the harmonies are reminiscent of CSNY. Also early Eagles, the Byrds, pretty much the whole early 70's Laurel Canyon scene. Super interesting and pleasant to listen to, derivative yet original in the best way.
These guys are the future of music.
I still come back to this video at least once a week to get my fix. Absolutely incredible!
Going through exams, listening to this like 10 times a day. This is seriously good!
Mapache es una maravilla escucharlos, sus voces ,su manera de tocar, ellos me llevan a aquellos maravillosos años 70 ✌️☮️✌️
Thank You so mu..... HOW BOUT SOME SONGS!!
So glad I watched this! Recognized them from Grateful Shred but I dig this even more. Some really talented dudes, for sure..
This is 1000x unique that because the left guitarist is left handed they can stand facing each other like that.
Maravilloso
I would give them all the money in the world if I had it. They can bring world peace with that sound!!!!!!
3 of the chillest human beings in one room
These guys are awesome, could”ve guessed the skateboarder vibe, bless their journey👏🏽
Saw them open for Mandolin Orange in Toronto. They were excellent. Talented and having fun.
Refreshing... musicians who can actually sing and play. Love these guys.
This guys are incredibly talented, love their stuff. And the host is just great, really informed and seems to know what he's doing
Liked as soon as they began playing.
I've seen these guys in Grateful Shred. Amazing show. Really dig these tunes.
Totally MOXY FROUVOUS (sounding) in the best way! But wonderfully different too. Awesome! Whoa! These two babies (fabulously young) are stunning guitar players and have lovely voices. Thanks, KEXP for bringing them to my ears!
what a treat. Amazing musicians
Dan. Rojas I don’t understand Spanish much, so I don’t know what that means. Are you saying it’s Mexican music?
C. Travis Mitchell they remind me of this particular group m.th-cam.com/video/KojhrlRzwdw/w-d-xo.html they are Mexican musicians. but I love the musical style Mapache!! Good folk!
Oh Awesome ill check it out! Cheers!
Una nueva banda favorita!
My god! I love their voices and two guitars!
That guys playing a right handed left handed with the strings still strung right… mind fuck
Gracias KEXP, siempre aportando con bandas para escuchar y disfrutar de la buena música! Esta me ha recordado un poco a fleet foxes!

They opened for Mandolin Orange in Brooklyn Feb. 8. Fantastic set. An unexpected bonus.
Incredible guys and musicians. Mapache rules.
Keep finding myself back here listening to these guys, so much good footage of their grateful shred stuff on TH-cam
Have you seen your eyes glow!
Did anybody else notice he's playing a lefty guitar with strings arranged for a righty's guitar??
yes haha like wtf
Coco Montoya also plays like that!
-- because he learned on a right handed upside down.
Pretty cool Pretty neat

I would love to see these guys play with The Mother Hips.
damn they are tight ❤️
ah yes, beautiful
Very good! BTW the guy on the left plays upside-down like Albert King and others but with a lot of chords. Pretty impressive! He looks like J Mascis' nephew
He also looks like Riley Hawk, imo.
So I gotta ask, is he playing a righty guitar upside but still tuned like a righty guitar? Or did he tune it "correctly" just leaving the high E string as-is, tuning the B string as the A string, etc. etc.?
Wow these guys are THE SHIT!
Are these the guys from Grateful Shred!?
C'mon, Greg, make that Mapache A a long vowel sound, ahhhhhhhhhh
Ahora bien, estos son unos chicos blancos locos !
They’re incredible... does anybody else think the subtitles trying to use English are hysterical haha
I cracked up when Clay said "We met in highschool. We were hanging out in the same scene". Probable code for "We hung out and toked up together" lol..
or they were just hanging out in the same scene. why would you need code for something as standard as smoking?
the smiles give it away
RIDERRRRR!!
If you are bilingual turn on the Close Captions it's hilarious!
Did anyone else think that was Riley hawk in the thumbnail?
You want Riley Hawk? Check out Jam in the Van.
Jam In The Van true.

“Arguably better than Grateful Dead”
Yeah, that’s a no from me, dawg.
sam is so hottttttt
Is songs to a seagull a nod to Joni Mitchell?
chords are reminiscent of that album but i could be totally wrong.
