Account of the 1987 windsurfing season in the Columbia River Gorge. All photos have been shot on location in the Gorge between Swell City and Maryhill Park.
1987! Was I ever so young? I lived in Hood River that summer. I was 22 years old. I camped at The Wind Ranch in Bingen. I learned to water start at the marina. I remember going to Pietro's Pizza and watching windsurfing videos on their projection screen. I aspired to be like these sailors. Good times.

was up there in 1986 for a slalom comp, didn't do so well.. if freakin blows !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Such great memories. I loved sailing the gorge in the late 80's and early 90's.
