    Ahh when its the day before trials and youve been sick for two weeks so you spend more time looking up tips to pass the trials instead of actually studying for them👍

    great video. I have the trials in 6 weeks time including two weeks of holidays. Do u think timed study works or should just answering as many questions as possible be my main priority.

    Hey I've got trials coming up in a little over a months time. I will have close to 4 weeks to study before the exam period begins, could you make a video or tell me what your daily study timetable looked like? Just to give me a good heads up on how I can plan to balance my five subjects.

    Awesome tips! Q: Did you guys find post trials the ranks moved around quite a bit? I'd like to push my rank up for some subjects but it doesn't seem to be happening as we do each assessment

    • @ThatStudentLifeAustralia
      @ThatStudentLifeAustralia  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! and Yep they definitely moved around a bunch. For Nick and I we turned a few subjects around heaps + ran away with the subjects we were already doing really well in which was fantastic for our confidence and internal marks. It all depends how much your trials are worth but i would say its very possible to move your ranks up if you study super hard and get some good scores!

  • @emilyjohnson6974

    great tips! Our trials are in around 8 weeks, do you think i should begin preparing later on in the month or now ( my teachers would be horrified if they knew my class and i haven't started) haha, what are your thoughts?
    Thanks!!

    • @ThatStudentLifeAustralia
      @ThatStudentLifeAustralia  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you should start seriously studying hard daily at 4 weeks out and go super hard 1 week out until exam time. Until then i think you should ensure that all your notes for all subjects are 100% up to date and keep it that way until the 4 weeks out and onwards. I suggest watching some tv shows and enjoying what it feels like to lay on the lounge because once you get into it you wont see a tv show for 6 weeks hahaha

    Heyy :) Thanx for the awesome tips man! I have a question.. How do you achieve 90+ in the trials and manage your study time for it when you have around 2 assignments due the week before the trials and a Major design project due during the trials?

      I did do the umat. I got just an average ranked score though. One great resource is a youtube channel called "umat tutor" type that in to the search bar and watch his videos !

    Hello!
    I was wondering if you went through the whole papers (as in 3 hours)??
    And I was also interested in your typical schedule for the holidays prior?? - I assume past papers mixed with notes and revising content??
    Thanks!

    • @ThatStudentLifeAustralia
      @ThatStudentLifeAustralia  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! and yep well for the trials i would usually do past papers in halves. So one study session id do half of a paper for each subjects and then i would have a break and do the other half. If you can do half a paper concentrated at home, you'll be able to do a full one with the pressure of the exam. You'll also get faster and faster the more your know your syllabus dot points which is why a mix of past papers and notes is great. For the holidays prior i made sure all my notes were 100% up to date and then just literally went from past paper to note memorising and back, repeating that until exam day. Hope you do well :)
