I had an interest in this game immediately due to the heavy emphasis on the rice farming mechanic. I've always had an interest in rice farming and its process since my mom is from Japan and I've seen my fair share of rice farms. On top of the rice mechanic, the development team made of 2 people is impressive. I picked up the special edition on PS4 and can't wait to play it sometime this year. p.s. I appreciate the rice puns :) Great review as always Tark!

Ayy as someone who's played farming games like stardew Valley and the Rune factory series, the moment i heard the premise of this game last year i knew i had to get it. It did not disappoint :D .
I was quite interested in this game a while back, but then I heard some mixed ruminations about the platforming. Thank you for doing a proper review sir!

Gives me Murmasa the demon blade vibes and that's really good feel.
I can definitely see that in the side-scroll hack and slash stuff. Some Murumasa, some Little Dragons Cafe, some "How to be a Professional Rice farmer" etc. It's such a wild blend.

I was thinking about picking up this title, looked fun but just didn't have time to get around to it. For some reason I got Muramasa vibes from this title, but instead of cutting demons you was farming.
Saducka of Poop and Soup looks like a fine game I'd love to play if I had a Switch. I envy you for living in a place where you can easily have access to special physical editions. Here, they are either unavailable or expensive as all hell.
I actually haven't spotted this game in stores yet, and only ended up with the special edition cause the standard edition of all things was seemingly always sold out online haha. But yeah, Canada's got it pretty good compared to a lot of other places. Areas like Brazil I hear tend to have it quite rough.

This game looks pretty rice.
don't throw the flakes into your poop. two medicine base plus a flake equals a recipe for a permanent stat boost potion.
In the final stretches of the game I had so many of them from the gathering points I just had to off load them somewhere. Besides, I was buff enough as-is haha.
This game released at a weird time, in the middle of next gen coming I was so busy with that I had to put this in the backlog and is still sealed, here’s hoping I get a shot maybe around summer
