When Trazyn and the Blood Ravens clash, it isn't a battle. It's a swap meet. Let's face it, if the bloody-magpies go into battle with a rather confused Thunder Warrior in hastily repainted armour... no one would question it out of fear of the Blood Ravens' answer.

Trazyn, like Belisarius Cawl, is one of the oddballs of the setting who actually stands a decent chance of shaking up the entire stagnation of the galaxy if he ever felt like it, and with very little effort at that.
@@OneBiasedOpinion He already has, more than once actually. During the 13th Black Crusade a bell IN STASIS started tolling. A SKAVEN bell I might add. It annoyed him, so he tossed it into the webway so it could be the drukkari's problem. Ever since then, the dark eldar whisper about hearing a bell toll sometimes in the webway and any of them that cross it's path have gone completely insane.
Trazyn tossed it simply because it annoyed him, he was otherwise unaffected. Specifically chose the webway cause he thought it would be funny.
@@Nempo13 He tossed it in to make it the Eldars problem. The bell was an old Imperium relic I might add, so when it started ringing while in stasis Trazyn knew something was up. It was the first indicator of the 13th Black Crusade and he even went as far as telling Cawl shit was about to hit the fan.
what i find funny is that if rare lifeforms cooperate, he sometimes just straight up lets them chill in his museum

I think I read somewhere that Necon face masks express emotion very subtly (so much so that no-one but other Necrons can tell) and that the resting face of Trazyn's mask is basically the Necron version of a shit eating grin, which I think is perfectly in character.
That is in fact true, Trazyn constantly smiles in front of Orikan just to piss him off

Let's see - along the right I see an Eldar Phantom Titan, a Squat, a Solitaire, what I think may be an Enslaver, a Hive Tyrant at the back and a mark IV marine helmet from the Sons of Horus/Luna Wolves. There's also what looks like a slab or a book next to the the Enslaver, but I can't see any real details on it.
Along the left, a Vespid, a Zoat, a Thunder Warrior, Ursarkar Creed, what I think is a Clawed Fiend and a Spindle Drone at the back, and a book with the Administratum symbol on it. Not sure what the book is, but knowing Trazyn it's something nuts like the first edition of the Tome of Malcador or something.
That tome in the final shot was actually the Tzeentch written tome from the episode, Bound for Greatness
How the hell did he find a thunder warrior?
@@thetankhunter100 Stasis grenades were more common at the time of the Emperor's unification wars than they are in the 41st millennium. It's likely at least a few thunder warriors got hit by one and then forgotten about. Of course that would require Trazyn to penetrate the defenses of Terra, the most comprehensively fortified planet that exists or ever has existed in the 40k galaxy. But then, he likely decided to make a shopping trip of it.
@@thetankhunter100 Not all Thunder warriors died after the Unification of Terra, about a dozen of them vanished without traces, a couple of which managed to survive through millennia.
It's likely Trazyn managed to find one of these survivors and added it to it's collection.

IDK if you know, but Trazyn collects Creed for his collection at the very end of the Fall of Cadia, while the planet is literally breaking up around them.

Trazyn knows, remember at the end of the Infinite and the divine. Trazyn asks if he could enter the eye of terror off a deceiver shard. He’s going to use Creed to drive off all the chaos marines and dab on Abbadon
It wouldn't surprise me if at the end of Warhammer 40k story, it was revealed that all of the millennia of conflict and history of mankind... no, all of the history of our universe, was just another stasis cube in Trazyn's museum. Everything repeating over and over again. Forever.

My favorite theory is that Warhammer Fantasy/Age of Sigmar takes place in a pocket dimension in Trayzn’s collection, and that 40k takes place in a galaxy in a bottle sitting on a Fantasy wizard’s shelf.
If they made a show just about following Trazyn as he adds to his collection and showing off more of what he already has in it I would pay to watch it

@@smokinggnu6584 especially since a simple helmet of the XVI legion isn't really that rare and special of a relic, at least compared to some other stuff Trazyn has. However, a helmet of one of the lost legions would definitely be worth getting put into his collection.
What this reminds me of is that in the TTS series, when CapGen tells the Emperor about Trazyn's collection, he found it rather fascinating. A few episodes later following Magnus' return, it's shown that the Emperor began amassing a collection himself.

Funnily enough GW has not really enforced its new rules yet.
I think it was a case once again that due to a particular American law on Copyright GW wanted to protect itself
In the US if you do not defend your copyright someone can then make the claim that since you have not defended your IP you do not own it.

Trazyn was the inspiration for the god of undeath in out setting. In his world, souls are not punished or rewarded. They merely all become permanent fixtures in his grand collection.

No, technically the whole idea of the god of Death was the C'tan known as The Nightbringer, who is literally the Grim Reaper.
Trazyn museum is one of the best subtle horror bits in 40k, the guy has not only one of the most jaw dropping collections of items and beings in the galaxy but additionally each and each specimen collected is some of the absolute deadly beings to exist in said galaxy. Any other faction, ask them to capture just a handful of what he has and do so in perfect condition and it would be impossible. But Trazyn? Here take a look at my collection of black legion terminators, not impressive enough how about a krok, no alright here’s one of the emperors own custodes
He also has entire battlefields recreated too

Not even Trazyn is mad enough to display such a valuable piece on the forefront of his collection. No doubt he's treasured somewhere safe and secure, away from anyone besides him to gaze upon.
Imagine if in the future Trazyn is sitting on his chamber, and on it there's a display of many Necrontyr pottery and silverware pieces. I think many fans would like that.

Let me put it into perspective; Szarek would rather let the Imperium, the Tau, the Eldar, and even the ORKS run nuts in the Galaxy and occasionally trash a Tomb World than let the 'nids win, THAT is how highly he takes them as a threat.
Chaos, not sure, but Necrons vs Chaos usually results in the Necron impaling demon lords on psy nulling spikes for giggles, so its usually a zero sum game for Chaos.

Ya know... this scene is fucking brilliant at really displaying the horror that is time.
Like... look at everything he has. Most of it is incredibly ancient, extinct even, potentially predating the Imperium in some regards. And he has a whole PLANET filled with this kind of stuff. It sort of puts in that little fear of just how vast and old the universe is, and just how tiny our lives are in comparison.
And then you additionally have to consider that almost all of those living creatures are alive. Trapped in eternal stasis, fully aware of their surrounding, watching as eons pass by them.
In otherwords, it's a perfect idea to promote in warhammer.
You know the only thing I want to see in his musuem is last of his kind……a krork.
I thought the way his time stasis worked was that those put in it would experience no time whatsoever, even consciousness. You experience the moment being put in the time stasis and the moment right after being taken out, with no recollection of how long or even if you were in it.
@@posterus4413 That's precisely how it works. Otherwise, the parts of his collection he released onto Cadia wouldn't have been as effective as they were as they'd all be insane and not combat-ready like they were presented.

Oh yeah that one is kinda cool a Tau who is not of the farenclaves (idk how spell their name.) But is in engaged in melee combat and always having a blast shredding flesh with his bare teeth. Oh yeah should've mentioned that he ate one of his own that's why he's so tall and menacing. And that's a ork cowering in fear because he is going to be eaten by said Tau.

The firsr introduction to Necron for me was the Dawn Of War series where they are souless creatures. At first after years of not following, i was kinda shocked and weird out at Necrons having personalities. But damn Trazyn is fun and change my mind totally. I think the main thing is his psychology. In a twisted kind of sense Trazyn is like a funhouse mirror reflections of what warhammer fans is. Delightful.

the best way to think of necrons personality is a few of them managed to keep a LITTLE of there emotions and personality it would be like a normal person suddenly being inficted with sever sociopathy if they have controll of themselves they can contuine on SEEMINGLY the same surface level.

i think theres still like 5 or so left there was 12 not present at the massacre and i think 4 have been mentioned and offed in the lore so there at least a handfull of unamed ones still left.

could totally be a setting for a video game trazyn realsing a few random civilian humans into his vault with no info or warning to see how they survive it would be like his own version of a survivor reality show.
with the reward being if they survive to the end they get to not only leave but request a copy of any one treasure they choose from his vault.

I honestly don’t think they’ll be the main threat, the silent king is back and is way more worried about the bugs than the imperium hell I wouldn’t be surprised if the king at some point meets up with Bobby Gman like he did with Dante
@@milotura6828 necrons aren't main threat, they're just the top of the food chain in Milky Way like tyranids.
In fact GW was nerfing necrons almost nonstop for 2 decades now to make Chaos a more believable threat.
Problems with necrons as "big bads" are
1)that they aren't evil, they're just another empire with it's own politics. Just a very strong one, but they are simply not focusing on others now;
2)they're actually an Order faction, just like Tomb Kings. Necrons are interested in stopping tyranids, sealing away Chaos and so on just like Imperium, Eldars and Tau(who don't even know about any of this and I have no reason why they are even a major faction).
P.S.: there is also this weird detail that Imperium(7 playable factions) and Eldars(5 playable factions) are fractured and splintered, fighting with themselves. With Necrons we have dynasties, but I doubt players can even recall their names and tell the difference.

@davisdf3064 Trazyn struggled to steal some trinket from a bunch of exodites. Eldar dunking aside I'm fairly confident the palace on Terra is more heavily defended not to mention how difficult it is to get close to the throne room without getting murked by custodes. I don't know how easily big e can be caught in a pokeball either, might need a master ball for that

Sorry what I really meant was, that GW is to greedy and to lazy to put some real effort into their projects. That's why the loss of the Fan Content is such a blow. We have to pay GW, to watch garbage, garbage that has been already left behind by previous Fan made content.

@@TurKlack Well GW isn't doing it themselves, they're outsourcing it to animators who are just told what to do and when to have it done by. GW's laziness is a non-factor here, and if there's anything I know about animators its that they work their asses off. GW clearly gave them very little money which means very little time to work on stuff which results in a clearly well founded but rushed and poorly executed product.
Never blame the animators, like VFX artists they're never the ones at fault, it is always the company that governs their work telling them to be faster.
To be honest I think the quality of the animation in this episode is higher than in most of the others. Looked more animated and less Diashow if compared to the others.

I'm willing to be that Trazyn has artifacts from Warhammer Fantasy as well. He's very passionate about his hobbies.
Warhammer Fantasy is a single planet that exists inside of 40k.
There are plenty of planets with bronze age tech levels still functioning fine in 40k. No one bothers these planets because frankly there just isn't much of value on them or they are too far from other things to be worthwhile. Planets too far from OTHER planets get skipped by Tyranid fleets all the time because it costs more biomass to go there and then move on to somewhere else than they would collect.

plus age of SHITTEmar calirified that related and magic is slightly diffrent in its formation in fantasy then in 40k.
in 40k there is only the warp and materium in the warp it is a messy slop of all emotions and souls good or bad thrown together in boiling soup while in fantasy souls go to a diffrent place then the warp unless they worship it so the choas gods are less inherently powerfull in fantasy.
as they only feed on the emotion of life rather then its existential souls like n 40k unless they consume a world by dragging it into the warp directly.

The janky animation works quite well for Necrons and Mechanicus, considering it’s so robotic.

Imagine how fucked up it’d be if at the end of the season they’d revealed that everything that happened in the previous episodes were contained within tesseract labyrinths like those terminators and that the entire season was just Trazyn binge watching them like a tv show on Netflix
The saddest part about this show is that if a fan made this the community would love it. Give this show praise and critique but most importantly fund it better than GW ever would so it could actually be animated.

Sisters of battle story needed work as well as the 'cadia stands' episode. They weren't all that bad.
Aperantly trazyn has one of the last ancient space marines that the emporer ordered to be destroyed after winning a war. Becasue these types of space marines were only for war.
Thunder Warriors. Used for the Unification Wars on Terra. You can see him on the left side right beside the little man(Creed).

I know very little about 40k but this guy is one of my favorite things to have learned about! I just imagine him as an old robot skeleton stealing anything not nailed down and that can be pried free!

You would have to admit, it'd be a spectacular museum. See everything and learn about it all, in one place.
There are many things that one should fear in 40k. The main Tyranid invasion fleet entering the galaxy, the Silent King awakening every Necron Tomb world, Orcs unifying and drowning the universe in a tide of green; but one possibility stands out above the rest, one of absolute horror and devastation if it ever came to fruition: the idea of Trayzen unleashing his entire collection.
I just pray, that he doesn't have a Primarch in his collection. Cause that would be terrifying as f**k.
He has an exact clone of a primark named fulgrim. Ik not aware of fulgrims lore but he seems to be of great importance

Say what you like about WH+, or the animation quality, but the storytelling in Hammer and Bolter is phenomenal and when I saw Trazyn in this episode it was amazing!

Animation is awful for 7/9 episodes, only working in the Ork episode and the 9th.
sound is really good through out, does quite well building an atmosphere
story telling is meh for most of it, fairly obvious stories that do little of anything, again except the 9th. Eldar one was alright too, Ork was fun.
Glad someone really enjoyed it though.
Trazyn deserves his own live-action movie
I knew Trazyn has a vast and extensive collection of records, items, arms, war machines, and people. I always wondered what this collection of his looked like. Is it stuff one can see, it everything trapped in some sort of container, but now myself and many can see a glimpse of his astonishing collection.
It would be cool to see Trazyn's entire collection, but at the same time, I don't want to, because then the mystery of what is in this collection would be spoiled.
And it would propably take more than a livetime to list everything in it.
