- I decide to catch up with a friend who is heading to Phuket. I join for the border crossing into Thailand, before heading back to Singapore the next day on the XMAX.

Not the actual trips I’ve done, but I never liked having the windshield on. I’m sure others would prefer to have it on, though.

I wouldn’t count the hours, but the amount of kilometres covered. I can cover around 1,000-1,200km if it is just a single day of riding.

waze will get you by just fine if not better than google maps.

I cruise at around 90 to 100km/h. But to keep my average speed up after fuel stops/traffic I occasionally bring the pace up just a little bit.

Solo riding in my opinion is actually safer in many other ways. Bikes these days are generally reliable enough to manage a highway journey
