- Autism and Food. I have a 6-year-old autistic son that hates food. After 6 months of feeding therapy, we finally made some progress and we want to share that with you. This video shows his after-school feeding routine.

We had a feeding therapy team in Queens, NY. It initially started off well but went south, and a portion of the team got pretty micro-aggressive (racially). There needs to be more black therapists or non-blacks who aren't Karens. Also, we noticed that there aren't many black men in the industry, and some firms (including the one in Queens, NY) only hired black people to be the security and other jobs, few black women working on the therapy team (and the few that did have the minor roles). No black men had been hired for years. PS: There were about 50% nonracists and non-classists, but the environment got very hostile; I ended up crying on the last day. Further, we fought for years for feeding therapy, and it wasn't until our child was a teen that feeding therapy eventually was prescribed. However, as indicated above, some Karens came out during the sessions. Racism destroys lives.
