Keep in mind he means millions in African money, not US dollars. ;) While the US govt is rapidly destroying the value of the US dollar, I'm sure the exchange rate makes 'millions' not a huge amount of money. Rabbit farming has many payoffs besides sales of meat. The manure sells for 8-10$/lb (us dollars. lol), and is more nutrient dense than any other domesticated animal manure. The health and vigor of food plants grown with rabbit manure is simply unreal. The meat is more nutrient dense than other domesticated animal meat and sells at around $10/lb depending on end use. Since the production costs are low, it feeds the rabbit raising family very inexpensively. Fur production provides yet another source of income, for those who are good at tanning. ;) Rabbits are AWESOME ;)
@@FarmingInAfricaOfficial You could say that. My wife and I raise rabbits and we've just begun selling meat. We have a few meat mutts and 2 separate lines of American Chinchillas, with plans to acquire a third. I saw that you have at least one beautiful chinchilla rabbit (VERY chinchilla looking! Congrats!). Rabbits are more social and require cleaner conditions than most animals, and they reward you handsomely for your efforts. :) The cutest, and most amazingly beneficial meat (for everyone but the "A non-secretor" blood type) I've ever found. :)
Very insightful video. ❤
Glad it was helpful!
