I bought a home in 2021 that had an empty hallway closet. I wanted a linen closet. I had no idea how to build one. I saved this video a year ago. This weekend I built it on my own! Thank you for this video!
Just discovered your channel looking for how to do full wall shelving like this for a larger room. I have seen it done basically like this but adding metal brackets or wooden braces for support. Have not found a video for that but I think I could manage it now with watching this. Thank you. You make it look easy and do-able. Thank you for explaining everything so well. Love that you show how to do it without help, too. Subscribing
Thank you! I have a really dysfunctional linen closet in my bathroom that needs some extra shelves and I wanted a good visual representation of what to do and this was perfect! Thank you :)
You did a fantastic job. This is how I build shelves in a closet normally. The only suggestion would be to use 3/4 mdf because of the printability. No sanding and smooth paint finish. Also a light coat of rattle can poly.
Question, so what did you do with all the bulky comforters, i have that issue of exactly where to put them.. closet cute, but does not fit to store comforters.
Great Idea Kristy Love the front trim idea as I'm building a closet with a Microphone Locker (literally a safe) - I'm a full time Voice Over Actor with a collection of expensive microphones and needed a shelf idea that would allow me to bolt down a small lockable storage cabinet for microphones most shelf videos just use planks but the facing boards will hide the bolt heads and also can double for mounting "quick grab" audio cables that I can velcro to the facing boards. Not being "handy" this shelving plan was within my limits - thanks again!
Kristy this is brilliant! I have large closets aside from one... I might try this in that closet as a trial run for how long it takes me to complete. Do you think you're getting faster building as you've been knocking out projects? To me it looks like you are! Love the baskets btw! I might update a set I have with some jute twine and an embroidery needle based on seeing yours! Total project afterwards is stunning!
Baby Doll awww thank you!!! I do love how it all came together ❤️ Am I getting any faster?...hmmm it’s hard to tell. I still feel pretty slow since I want a project completed the day I start it😁 but of course that never happens. You can follow me on Instagram where I take you through each build in real-time via IG stories😊 @kristygreen_
Good catch! I can't remember the reason now why I didn't. I think my stud finder was detecting metal with my dryer located directly behind it so I didn't want to mess with it
Omg..I want to be a handy woman. I most do certain things around my house myself, except ^building^...and others things I can't do. I want to learn #how to build# simple things like that sooooo bad. I'm sure it would save me $money$. I'm scared to messed it up or do it so sloppy.
GIRL! You sounded like me before I just went ahead and tackled my very first project (garage shelving). I had NO CLUE what I was doing. But I had to stop thinking and just do it. Trust me...every single project I finish I step back and think "did I really just do that?!?!" You'll be amazed at what you can do - hope you go for it!
Smart lady used plywood and not cheap particle board like I see on other channels! great job!

Awesome job!! That is the tutorial I been looking for. Thank you.

Whats mdf?
Great work! Why did you pre-drill the holes in the cleats? Why not just screw through them? (I'm not being critical, just hoping to learn something.)
j adore vos vidéos ç est juste tellement naturel et toujours en famille avec le sourire ! Continuez 💪🏻💃🏻😘
Thank you!! :)
Nice work. Thanks for sharing.

There are many similar projects in Woodprix's plans.
i have a question: Did you get the shelf cleat from the store or were they the leftover wooden pieces when you cut the plywood?
How many inches did you have between shelves ? 12 inches ? 15 inches ?? GREAT video, & you show how simple it can be.
Amazing definitely doing my linen closet this way
Cori_ Nicole awesome!! You’ll be so glad you did ☺️

Thank you! Now I can do this!! Great tutorial
Looks nice good job
Thank you! Such an amazing video! Your closet looks amazing! I plan to do this soon :)
Great job!
Hi! What distance did you give each shelf?
I'd like to know too

Amazing. Did you have to at to get the wood pre cut?
Home Depot or Lowes will make the cuts for you! Go there prepared with all your measurements.
So, did you get the front ends made at lowes as well, what measurements were they
1:28 . What did you fill the hole with ? Can you please give the link for that product?
Very nice 😊👍🏻
Were the wall cleats made at the store as well
Looks Amazing! ❤️
Thank you!! :)
Great job ....I'm going to try this.
Stephen Bernard I hope you do! As small as the closet is it’s still my favorite! Thanks for watching!
I enjoyed the ideas.
Thank you!! Thanks for watching!
great job....
Nice work. You marked the center stud for your back shelf cleats but didn't screw into the center stud? It would've provided a lot more support 😇
Good catch! I can't remember the reason now why I didn't. I think my stud finder was detecting metal with my dryer located directly behind it so I didn't want to mess with it
Mama Wants to Build by Kristy Green good point! Don't want to screw into your electrical or dryer vent
The guy with a mask in his bio pic would absolutely be the one guy with a negative comment here.
@@TJPsongs negative? haha relax buddy just an observation on structural integrity
I’m inspired ! 🤩
What type of nailer did you use on the front edge? Thanks!
