The mystery of the door in the engine room explained! (I think). A few people have asked about the door at the far (front) end of the engine room - where does it go? And I must admit this has been puzzling me, but I think I've worked it out. If you look in the master cabin shower, there appears to be an odd, and pointless, partition. That shower is in the centre at the very aft section of the lower deck accommodation. I'm pretty sure that the partition is actually an opening that opens to reveal the inside of that mystery engine room door (they'd line up perfectly). So I think it's an escape route out of the lower deck through the engine room. The door in the transom next to the crew space/engine room access from outside I think is just a bit of deck storage.
Lovely...sort of a budget superyacht. That's lots of boat for 2 million. Great maple woodwork especially the frame and panel cabinet doors in the galley. Huge upper deck with a Jacuzzi. Perfect show off boat for a lottery winner or the self-made multi-millionaire! Aquaholic's video tours are so much better than the big production boat commercials from the major yacht brokers. This is an actual tour where you feel like you are in the boat walking around taking it all in. The others present the boat in a way to give you an overall impression. Love the engine room tours Nick! Keep up the great work!
Ahhh, that's better! Aquaholic fix. Looks like a really fun boat. Love the big bar areas and no worries about running out of ice. Great front cabin for social distancing. Nicely laid out. Thanks Nick!
Lol when Nick opened the closets at the master bedroom and closed the second door, I thought "I wonder what was that small door in there" few seconds later Nick opens the closet and opens the small door and goes "don't think I don't read the comments" you are the MVP Nick!
If only we could have an AQUAHOLIC tour of all the previous/upcoming Denison yachting listings!! Another great video Nick. Thanks for keeping us entertained during lockdown 👍🏽
AQUAHOLIC I don’t think you’ll have much trouble with that. I’m sure Bob loves what you’re doing and for the price of a flight, car rental, and room he’s getting full value. Hopefully he sends you to the Mediterranean when this is over. 😉
I’ve only known Cheoy Lee as a sailboat manufacturer., so I’ve learned something new. This is always a nice way to wake up in the morning, have a cup of coffee and watch your videos.
hey aquaholic. i started following you when you had a small following, which has grown so fast! so glad to see youre finally getting the credit you deserve. you always seem like a positive upbeat kinda person, makes your videos very relaxing and enjoyable to watch.
Excellent yacht sir. And the more you filmed, the more surprises came along. I mean, the flybridge alone is huge! Although it's 14 years old it could just as well be a 2016 model for all I care as the interior design with the lovely warm wood never gets "old". Thank you, and stay safe!
Tch, Tch, There was a forward door in the engine room & also another door on the swim platform area...... But thanks for the tour Nick, its a yacht I'd be proud to own.
The government rules on lockdown say you're allowed to travel to your essential work. I think travelling to a Marina and filming more content is very much essential. Give a thumbs up if you agree!
You can tell it's an older boat, but that doesn't take away from it's ample accommodations and sheer size for the price (not in my price range, but a lot of boat for the money). Thanks again Nick
Nick I absolutely love your content. Your so passionate about your work and are so enthusiastic about boats. Thank you for posting great content over lockdown. And since I recently started watching your content I have learnt so much about boats and love all the boat tours. Hope quarantine is going well. You really are inspiring. Love to wake up to a notification saying. Aquaholic boat tour
You were so lucky to get in all those Miami tours in at just the right time. Imagine how strapped you would be for content without them! 😱 This tour was excellent. I seem to enjoy viewing yachts around that size. Cheers, Tom in Canada 👍🏻😉🇨🇦
I’m sitting on lockdown trying to decide whether to spend £500,000 or if it’s better value to spend a million. All in a dreamworld of course, but these are great to watch.
Hi Nick. For a 74ft boat it has character with the bookmatched doors and small details in the flooring. 1200 Nm in a boat this sice is impressive. Great tour as always. Thanks
Love your videos and they give a good overall presentation of the yachts. Earlier this year Scott Free was on my list of possible yachts being considered for purchase. She is a beautiful yacht but sadly she did not make the short list.
Thank you Nick, my weekly 'Aquaholic hit' is fulfilled until about Wednesday evening when the withdrawal symptoms will start again and I'll be deciding which tour I can watch again, should I select Princess or Sunseeker or go for a 'Denison Yachting' selection. Thinking about starting up 'Aquaholics Anonymous', where the group can discuss things such as the first time Nick pronounced 'Miele' correctly was it on the Sunseeker Manhattan 66 or the......!!!!! And yes the door mystery is resolved and what's behind the little door in the wardrobe!
That boat looked like it was built and decorated in three 70's. I'm sorry but it seemed like a no frills boat. Of course the Aquaholics vid was awesome. Another great job Nick
This mysterious white backpack appears in most of Nicks videos. Usually out of nowhere and then somewhere on the aft main deck. Just like in this video. You are not alone, Nick! A group of people observing the white backpack and register exactly where it appears and what it does. 😉
I think that I would have guessed this was a Chinese boat anyway. I've seen it in a lot of their goods, where they have a mix of very good design and then some things that were obviously done to a budget. Some very jarring notes in a luxury product (chairs around the dining table didn't look good enough for IKEA) yet the woodwork, something for which the Chinese are noted, was excellent. It was a good layout, no doubt and excellent value for money even at 14 years old. Thanks so much for reviewing some of these 'older' boats - it gives us a really good comparison of how tastes, engineering and design have changed. From all your reviews though, Samurai is still my all time favourite. Not because of the size, but just because of its elegance and fit out. On a totally side note, I've been watching the video of the first sea trials of Royal Huisman's Sea Eagle II. Time for you to start angling for a visit :-) Hope the lockdown is going well for you Nick. Hang in there, you're not losing any fans.
Thanks for all these informative videos. On the Cheoy Lee I saw that a ladder on the back and also one in the backboard gangway. You didn't spend time on those, but over the years I have been in so many ports and petrol stations where I was wondering how the hell do I get here on or off my boat, so always interested to see what solutions others have implemented. Yards usually don't spend any more time on all these practical aspects and stop at the usual passerelle (as an option). Or more raily putting in a side door or an opening in the front railing surely is only the start of a solution as getting from there to the wall is the more difficult part of the exercise.
I had a 1954 Cheoy Lee 38', it was wonderful with so much teak and mahogany and brass to keep ship shape. I refinished it and sold it because although beautiful it took too much work to maintain it in good order.
This yacht looks very nice. She maybe a little old but the living space there looks good. A great looking apartment/condo at the marina. Thank you for touring this one.
Must have been one hell of a nice boat back in 2006, I still think its nice even at 14 years of age, love all of the classic wood interior and was shocked to see a hot tub, so much to offer on a relatively small boat 👍👍
Great design. The VIP was like an RV and very well layer out. The entire boat had a Diesel pusher kind of vibe. It was like nothing else you’ve ever reviewed. Funny how you almost ran through the review.
A lot of boat for the money, but I wonder what budget it would take to bring it up to date? Great tour as always Nick. Always a highlight in my day xxx
One thing I think you missed, in the master suite shower / bath tub thing, there is a hatch that you can open to escape in to the engine room if need be. At least, that's the case on my families 68' 2006 Cheoy Lee. Couldn't tell from the video if it was in this one or not.
There was a portable gas fire pit in the middle of the outdoor furniture set on the back of the fly bridge. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that on a yacht before.
Very nice boat Nick, and I noticed two things,a clean shaved (pre beard) Nick Burnham, and also the sound of airplanes in the background,so this video was made before Corona hit us all,in different ways. Be safe Nick, and your family, until next time :) :) :)
Love your vids so much man, couldn't thank content creators like yourself enough. Btw do you think one day you might buy a boat of this calibre(not saying the boat you already have isnt cool because it is). And if you are already planning on buying one, on what kind of time frame?
Excellent video, excellent boat, this brand is one of the best, many other famous brands are made there, but this times the majority of the boats going around are air craft carriers, if you can do some of them it will be interesting, leisure boats it will take some time before they go out to sea, stay safe Nick (not from the Virus) this is the beginning of the end of the world as you know it
Nick the hardest working man in yacht touring game bringing us all the best yachts. When does the smuggling season start. Maybe 1 day you could teach me how to smuggle. I joke we know yer out of the game. Wink wink. I'll take a case of Merlot and a case of Camels. Should any of that find its way to ya.
You do not know how excited I get every time I open YT and see a new Aquaholic video. Now I will have to watch this before heading outside to start my burn pile. General question, is the furniture (dining table, etc) fastened down to minimize any movement in rough seas? What about vases, lamps, etc. Or do all the gyros really minimize any type of movement while underway and in port? I must admit as am quite oblivious to how these things work.
Heavy objects like tables are often secured. Vases, lamps etc, it depends. Sometimes they're removed before getting underway if it's likely to be rough, other times they're stuck down.
This interior was on the edge of old back in 2006. Unfortunately for the Asian market, a lot of the vessel interior designers were required to copy other European yacht builders. Instead of allowing the local talented designers to think organically, traditionally and occasionally out of the box. The same intellectual theft applies to the engine plant, therefore l would never recommend buying any boat built in China before 2013.
Hi Nick not watched much last week or so, been very ill. If being degenerative isn't bad enough, at least I have my sense of humor lol. This is a very beautiful yaght, £2million 06 compared to brand new in same size, us a no brainer. My first year enjoying Superyaght Walkthrough channels, has showed me. The older gives bang for the buck. These mega rich probably treat old like a 2nd hand 17 year old car. To them past sell by date, to others still a nice cheap little ride. But no real comparison in truth. Yes there are sweet run arounds out there. But these Superyaghts are maintained to prestine standard most of them. So as they get older, they still look as new. In truth after a freshen up - better than new. Easy for us to say, how the mega rich are always chasing the grass is greener game. At its highest levels. I'm sure we'd be no different after we had that money for a while. 14 yrs old and a true beauty. Ps: I thought it was a safe behind that door in the owners suites cupboard. So totally got that wrong lol. I think its great just that mere mortals, can buy a Euro Millions ticket, and it could win huge. Then this elite lifestyle is only a few beautiful purchases away. Id be happy with £30k. Just to clear my loans, and buy a nice cheap Bmw 335i again. I miss my one.
Interesting Chinese take on a luxury yacht. Although 2006 it did look a bit eighties to me in places. style and componentry but you certainly wouldn`t turn you nose up at it. Actually love the exterior style of the yacht and for £2 mill it`s a hell of a lot of bang for your buck. Great tour Nick as per. More please when you`re allowed out properly
Im surprised you dident mention that fire pit up top. Can you imagine at night chilling in the hot tub with the only light being that fire pit and the stars....
I love how detailed your tours are but I'm waiting for the day when you'll open one of those drawers and find something inappropriate or not meant to be seen :D
While this boat is not old per se, it looks like an antique. I feel like the new boats will age much better. The designs have improved, they are more efficient, and people know they need to take care of them.
What was behind the door in engine room and the other door at the back lol. Really nice boat though. I'd have the front cabin as the master though. Keep up the good work
I mean, thank goodness we got to see behind the little door in the master closet but you missed these other 2 full size doors. I'm guessing the door in the back was storage and the door in the engine room was maybe a secondary exit from the master cabin shower?
Interesting. It is a bit aged style but very pleasant and inviting nonetheless and good layout. I wonder though with the 2006 price index in china if 2mill isn't a bit high given the age. Quick check would seem to confirm. 2009 Sunseeker 86 for 1.8mill or 2001 Sunseeker 105 for 2 mill. The 105 is pretty showy btw, might be good for a video.
With a good rating on the surveyor's report this could be a good value. I find the woodwork to be timeless. The bedrooms and baths were just right: no 'new money' glam or bling...full functionality.
So I think it's an escape route out of the lower deck through the engine room. The door in the transom next to the crew space/engine room access from outside I think is just a bit of deck storage.
I am pretty sure it is an emergency escape hatch, I remember seeing a similar arrangement when Superyacht Captain showed us around MY AWOL. Cheers
That's my curiosity satisfied
Thanks I was about to ask those 2 questions 😂
Was about to ask that.
AQUAHOLIC As always, you rock! I had those same questions as you’ve spoiled us all with your detailed tours 😊👍🏻👏🏻❤️
I love starting off Sunday’s with Aquaholics
SO HAPPY to see you back and posting!!!!!!

Once we can travel freely again I'm hoping to do plenty more with Denison if they'll let me!

That’s just another great example at 4:10 why we love your boat tours; your eyes for details👍😃!
"This bag follows me everywhere" 🤣
Interesting boat, nice layout for the most part. So many of these “suffer” from those raked windshields. Another great Aquaholic tour!
Thank you for the tour Nick, have a nice day.
Thanks, you too!
nick giving us all a better quarantine with these videos
hey aquaholic. i started following you when you had a small following, which has grown so fast! so glad to see youre finally getting the credit you deserve. you always seem like a positive upbeat kinda person, makes your videos very relaxing and enjoyable to watch.
Awesome! Thank you!
Love you AQUAHOLIC. You make my day every day and your videos are very entertaining. Have a great day, from Aussie
Hey there Aussie! Glad you like them!
I love the interior of this yacht. It's simple and easy on the eye.
Thanks for the tour!
Excellent yacht sir. And the more you filmed, the more surprises came along. I mean, the flybridge alone is huge! Although it's 14 years old it could just as well be a 2016 model for all I care as the interior design with the lovely warm wood never gets "old". Thank you, and stay safe!

Especially when the video was filmed months in advance.
Fine boat but the way you detail all of them is superb. I think you do the best job of anyone. Keep up the great work.

As always, another great video. Thanks Nick!
My pleasure!
'Oily Bits'.........Love it. 🤍 Don't think I've ever seen a skerrick of oil on any yacht you've shown us Nick. Keep up the great work. 👍👍
You can tell it's an older boat, but that doesn't take away from it's ample accommodations and sheer size for the price (not in my price range, but a lot of boat for the money). Thanks again Nick
Yes Nick, as you say, an interesting boat. I don’t know how my wife is ever going to choose out of all the options you provide us with. Well done Sir!
It is showing its age in many ways, but still an awful lot of ship for $2 mill. My nan would have loved the interior. Cheers Nick
The boat looks horrendous
I was just thinking it looks exactly like my grandparents’ house on the inside.
@Chris Ruizknew I'd find one of these. It's a 2006 boat with interior to suit.
Nick I absolutely love your content. Your so passionate about your work and are so enthusiastic about boats. Thank you for posting great content over lockdown. Absolutely!!
Love the Tom Fexas designed Cheoy Lee's. Also the Cheoy Lee 66 is a classic. Commented before watching. Waiting to watch on 26" monitor 😉
As always, excellent boat, excellent tour
Many thanks!
I’m sitting on lockdown trying to decide whether to spend £500,000 or if it’s better value to spend a million. All in a dreamworld of course, but these are great to watch.
A really lovely yacht, thanks for the lovely review and specially your enthusiasm during your review
Love the spirit.
Thanks 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!

Another lovely yacht, nothing not to like. Thanks for the tour.
Glad you enjoyed it
More quality content! Thank you again good Sir!
Loads more coming, I say, keep 'em coming Mr. Burnham
I love the classic wood working. It’s such a beautiful look.
Great tour as always
Glad you enjoyed it
Love your videos and they give a good overall presentation of the yachts. Earlier this year Scott Free was on my list of possible yachts being considered for purchase. She is a beautiful yacht but sadly she did not make the short list.
You should have Nick do a tour of the final decision!
Youre vids are so Nice to watch
It needs a little work but that's a lot of boat for the money. Thank you for another great showing. Stay safe. Love from Canada.
Hey there Canada! :)
Just found your channel, this is a whole other world! Love your videos thank you!
where have you been?
Welcome aboard! :)

How did i miss this one video i checked 15 times this week if i watched them all not that i watch them all every week, no sir not me....
What a nice comfortable yacht. Well maintained and a great value at $2M. I can see me living aboard this yacht.
Thank you Nick, my weekly 'Aquaholic hit' is fulfilled until about Wednesday evening when the withdrawal symptoms will start again and I'll be deciding which tour I can watch again, should I select Princess or Sunseeker or go for a 'Denison Yachting' selection. great video, Nick. Have a lovely day. And stay safe

Wow love the interior of this boat

You are not alone, Nick! A group of people observing the white backpack and register exactly where it appears and what it does. 😉
k if that happened here in America you would have to call out the SWAT team, a a bomb squad.
Sunday! Aquaholic, lovely 😊 truly makes my day! Ps, love the paranoia re the stalking rucksack! 😂
Hi Nick and another great video nice one and thanks as always
Glad you enjoyed it
I think that I would have guessed this was a Chinese boat anyway. On a totally side note, I've been watching the video of the first sea trials of Royal Huisman's Sea Eagle II. Time for you to start angling for a visit :-) Hope the lockdown is going well for you Nick. Hang in there, you're not losing any fans.
Nice one Nick, just a beautiful boat 👍🏻 lovely engine room too I thought for the size of the boat, great stuff, keep it up 👍🏻😎🍺⚓️
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for all these informative videos. On the Cheoy Lee I saw that a ladder on the back and also one in the backboard gangway. You didn't spend time on those, but over the years I have been in so many ports and petrol stations where I was wondering how the hell do I get here on or off my boat, so always interested to see what solutions others have implemented. love your tours... cheers
That's one very nice yacht 😍, very good walk through as always thank you for sharing 👍🏼stay safe 🤞🏼

Handsome and comfortable floor plan. Five stars.
A lot of boat for the money, but I wonder what budget it would take to bring it up to date? Great tour as always Nick. Always a highlight in my day xxx
Haha Nick - 'don't say I don't read the comments' I love how Nick interacts with fans regularly
It's half the fun of the channel! :)
@@AQUAHOLIC that's awesome :) lovely yacht, the wood and marble flooring in the guest accommodation goes so well together.
That 1 stair up to the cockpit opens up possibilities to create a really protected comfortable area👍

That flybridge certainly packed it in. I reckon you would spend most of your time up there.

What was behind the door in engine room and the other door at the back lol.
Really nice boat though. I'd have the front cabin as the master though. Keep up the good work
Narnia!
I was thinking the exact same thing! Nick where did these doors lead?
YES!
Moore Cheoy Lee please!
It’s funny how yachts never age. I can’t tell if I like the wood look or modern better.
Great layout
The decor is a bit old, but the layout is fantastic. Love the front kitchen area.
If money was not object and you were in the market for an owner operated boat which one would you have?
Great to see you still posting on lockdown!
I'll let you know if I ever have the money! :D
@@AQUAHOLIC The new Riva 90 Argo is mouth watering Gorgeous !
Did I miss it ??? Where does the tender go? that rear platform I think goes up and down maybe that is where the tender is when not at a show?
Interesting layout downstairs. I prefer the current more modern style with less glossy areas where u see every touch
With a good rating on the surveyor's report this could be a good value. I find the woodwork to be timeless. The bedrooms and baths were just right: no 'new money' glam or bling...full functionality.
