Love the piece you are using,Christine and your embroidery is really neat and sweet! Looking forward to seeing it finished. Thank you also for your beautiful sneak peeks into nature, they bring a breath of fresh air up to here❤❤❤
Thanks Anita - Travers sends you a nose boop. Having fun doing little stitching breaks during the day on this piece - the perfect little bite sized break. Cheers, Christine
Thank you for your video today Christine. I stitched along with you ,great company. What a lovely piece to work on, finally being stitched, wonder how old it is. I think the only people who worry about knots are judges if you enter your piece in a show, you knot away girl.. I hope you have a lovely holiday and relax, no making videos unless it's scenery to share with us at some point (especially fungi😂) How funny ,can you hear the bird as a car roars by. 😂 what timing. I love that Travis likes his vegetables. My friends dog has a treat in the evening of raw carrots. He loves them. Thank you for the walk at the end as always a pleasure.
Still chuckling about the bird call and loud hoon car! I love the way these old pieces connect us to stitchers of the past. And that something Simeon never got around to can now be enjoyed anew. The circle of life…stitchery. I’ll be sure to do lots of relaxing and enjoying nature on holidays, and no doubt some op shopping and lots of relaxed stitching. Hope you’re having a lovely week. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Always love watching you create and hear your stories. I’m sure you will understand but not sure how much I’m going to be able to watch over the next while. We were on our holidays and then I had surgery so was working my way through all my favourite You Tubers like you! But today my Dad was hospitalized. He’s been sick for a while but they couldn’t find a cause. He will be in a few days and we are hoping they can find something that they will be able to “fix” or at least help. My Dad is 86 and has been slowly going down hill over the last two years, but I still want more time with him of course. If things progress this way I will need to go stay with my Mom and it’s a 4 hr drive. Then it will also be a very busy time. Although watching my slow stitch friends can be very distracting 😊❤
I’m glad the TH-cam videos helped you during your recovery from surgery. I’m very sorry to hear your dad is unwell but I will think all the good thoughts that they can find something to help him with in hospital. As much as it is hard when our loved ones are in hospital often it is the best place for them to receive dedicated care. Thinking of you, your mum and your dad and family xxx
Can’t believe you’ve started on your second one I’ve not even started on my first and lol only one I’m going to do . Look forwards to seeing both of yours finished TFS Christine xxx
Welcome Janice - it’s lovely to have you here at my virtual craft table. Hope you find lots of inspiration and look forward to hearing what projects you’re working on. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Definitely learn through doing for me. Your piece looks very pretty and yes, it’s ok to say so 😊. I’ve packed up my huswif and am on my hols at the moment. No time to stitch yet as we’ve been busy taking advantage of the sun and visiting some local car boot fairs - and yes, I can’t resist picking up some vintage embroidered linens - always on the look-out for lovely goodies. Our dog Maggie loves mandarin/satsuma segments - but then again, there’s not much she doesn’t like! Haha - take care Sally 😊
Have a most wonderful holiday Sally! Look forward to seeing what you find at the car boots. Funny that Maggie is a citrus fancier too. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Hi Christine, unfortunately i l am not doing better yet but I was able to lift my feet and take a few steps without just sliding my feet. Thank you for asking.❤ I love the way you are contemplating to do this panel. Yes, please buy a portable camera arm. I am sure I'm not the only one that enjoys your nature walks and vacation shots. And a big yes to eco dying! TFS 😊
That’s such an interesting idea for a project. I love the delicate shades of pink that you’re using for the petals. It’s very soothing to stitch along, and definitely go at the pace that’s most comfortable for you! I’m working on a mystery stitchery as I watch… 😂 You live in such a lovely part of the world - no wonder your stitching is so inspired by the nature around you! Someone advised me to wrap a strip of linen around the inner hoop of an embroidery hoop to help it grip better. I’ve not tried that yet, but I thought I’d share anyway!
Oooh I’m so intrigued by your mystery stitch! Is it a stitch you have invented? Will it feature on an upcoming video? All these questions and more 😂 Thanks for the tip for the hoop too. We feel very grateful for the nature around us here - there’s so much to explore at short distances away. Cone summer time we can’t really walk the narrower tracks due to snakes and not wanting Travers to encounter one. Bit for now we enjoy 🤗
@@createandcraftwithchristine the mystery stitchery is a mini hoop done in the style of something for people to guess. I post them as shorts, and they’ve quite fun. I just posted one in fact! I love your little nature adventures. So many beautiful things to share
Ah that's going to be so pretty Christine, and I love that you're stitchign it as originally intended but putting your own spin on it. I think that looks like one of the vintage embroidery transfers made by Briggs, who later merged with Anchor/Coats/Penelope - I couldn't find the specific one, but the way the No N682 is written looks very like how it is on some of the older Briggs transfersn I have. Funny you mention your printer is used more for crafting now, mine's the same - and the iron!! I've also been learnign to use a digital board, Tom's been teaching me about Trello, I think it will be really handy onece I get used to it. I've been stitching along with you, working on a prototype for a fabric version of an infinity card. Can't believe you're off to Alpine Victoria again already, seems like only a couple of months ago you were foraging the oop shops there, must have been last year I guess?! Where is the time going??
Thanks Annie - and for trying to track down some history on this. I’m really happy to be working this on the way intended too. And you’re right about the year flying by too. We were last in alpine Vic in March this year after attending the Fleur Woods retreat. Cheers, Christine
Lovely watch, what was I doing well I started with dusting then went on to dishwasher and finished with a nice cuppa tea. Yep lovely way to spend me cleaning morning with you nattering on me doing lite house work. I am of know gotta painting I want to finish. Have a lovely week. Aww holiday can you do a video on what you take with you? Me I am trying to take a little kit of sewing things but well I always end up with me pencil and paper.
Thanks Paula - I loved your painting that you shared on FB! I love watching YT crafting while I clean (as cleaning isn’t my thing at all!) I will aim to share what I take for stitching on holiday too (usually way too much 😆)
@@createandcraftwithchristine thank you this is very kind of you. Watched you make a holder today was a fun watch was thinking I would buy some material but think I will opp shop tomorrow afternoon and look for a nice table runner.
How is Dad, BTW? I just remembered a tale my daughters used to tell when they were about four years old. Your dad may get a kick out of it. Their grandparents used to like to looky-loo at open houses, and they were walking through one that had a step-down bar area. Grandma didn't notice the step as she was going to look behind the bar. She fell and broke her hip. After a stint in the hospital, she went to a rehabilitation center to recover from the surgery. The way my little ones told it, "Grandma fell down behind a bar and had to go to rehab."
I was curious about the first flowers shown. They looked like hellebores to me but the leaves looked wrong. Maybe there was an azalea bush but the flowers are not on the bush? Or is it a native Australian plant that I don't know. Your embroidery looks wonderful.
Thanks so much - the large flowering tree/bush was Rhododendron which grows prolifically in the Dandenong Ranges. Apparently there are over 15,000 growing there! Cheers, Christine
Love the varigated threads softens the whole look and will blend in with the other fabric panel what a magical place to walk through
Thanks Carrol - I’m pleased with the variegated thread too and love our weekend walks 💚

Thanks Giusi - I love sharing our nature wanders and this sweet little project 💕
I'm so happy you didn't cut the mat. It's just beautiful, and the flip was a great idea!!
Thanks Robin - yes it was too precious to cut up 🤗
What a fantastic find in when tidying up. Love that printed mat..
Thanks Kristy - one upside of a tidy up 🤗
Very pretty, Christine. 😊
Thanks so much Jenn 🤗
Love the scarf around your statue Christine ❤
Oooh I wish that was our garden- it’s at Diggers Cloudehill in the Dandenong Ranges: cloudehill.com.au Such a beautiful place 💚
The flowers are beautiful. Nice video👍🧡💐Beautiful nature and I love the dog🧡
