Great video. Thank you for sharing. It’s so important that people are open and talk about mental health and treatment.

Thank you for this Alex, I am struggling a lot with my anxiety at the moment (hence not filming for a little bit!) I wish people would talk about it more ! I am so glad you said about how it doesn't discriminate I get so angry when people say how can that person be depressed they have everything - people totally need to understand that it isn't about things you can have everything in the world and still be sad much the same as you can be in a room full of people and still feel alone . xx

What an outstanding video. We have a lot in common 😽 and I utterly agree, being open about mental health absolutely stops it consuming you.

Thank you for sharing your life with us Alex! Also, as a counselor in training, hearing you speak about the results of a medication and CBT combo that helped you was so encouraging.

Great video, thankyou for sharing , how true it is we still try to push it all away instead of confronting and accepting it all to be okay and part of us.

This is such an important topic and I sincerely hope people start being more open about their mental health journeys. I mean we hear people talk about physical illnesses all the time and there are prolific supporters for them, so why can't mental health be the same.
I also suffer from anxiety and depression. I was first diagnosed when I was 19 and I'm now close to 31. So it's been a long road and it's still not close to being finished.
At my worst I would get anxiety seizures which would only stop once my diaphram went into paroxysm and I would lose consciousness for lack of oxygen. So there can be very severe physical symptoms for anxiety and depression too.
So thank you for talking about this too. :)

Thank you so much for sharing your story! That sounds so terrifying and I can only hope that you are maybe through the worst of it now! I'm not sure anyone truly fully recovers from mental health problems. They are always part of us, even when we learn to control them.

I'm definitely on the up and up. ^^ Working medication and therapy combo. And I think you're right about it not ever fully going away, but I think being able to function and have a high quality of life is almost as good as making a full recovery. :)

THANK YOU for this video. I'm very adamant about mental health as well. I like to call mental health the white elephant in the room. We don't talk about it, and we should. I openly speak of it with my friends, and because of that, we have someone to confide in. It makes all the difference having someone there.

It's definitely something that's not openly talked about. Six months ago iwent back to work in schools again and after a few months felt my depression creeping back 🔙 in a big way. So January arrived and a left and got a new job a few hours a week and feel so much better already. Take care hun xx
