For your bathroom items to keep from spilling:
Don't use an entire ziplock bag for each bottle! Take small squares of Saran wrap. Open bottle, put over the opening, close lid on top. Same exact idea, just without wasting ziplocks! 🙃

So tired from packing all day it took me a moment to realize this "satan wrap" was actually me missreading and not some nickname for the stuff. My brain just went with it and i thought "yeah i guess it can be pretty annoying when it like sticks together idk" wth 😂
Her : you have to start packing 2-4 weeks early
Me : Starts packing 1 day before
My tips are to use your towels and sheets, clothes etc to pack your breakables then you are packing 2 at once.
Some alternatives:
pack your shoes in plastic grocery bags
Wrap your dishes and cups with your shower towels and kitchen towels
Better hack for packing plates, use disposable plates & put one in between each plate. It’s way cheaper than parchment paper, that shizz is expensive. 😂 I also have an unlimited amount of grocery bags and use those to wrap things in.
Thabk you Mallory, This was so great for me. I've bad PTSD and my concentration and planning skills have disappeared. I've been so anxious about moving. It's felt like a herd of elephants I have to eat (instead of the proverbial one!) I took notes...! For the first time, I feel like I can do this. 🙂
Hi Mallory, great tips, however the tape x on the mirror is for when the glass breaks it doesn't go everywhere, it does not proctect it unless you use some sort of padding especially in the corners

Great tips! Thank you so much! I use grocery store bags to keep shoes from touching other items in my suitcase when traveling. Another hack I would like to add in is, I use clothing like T-shirts to wrap my glass items in instead of newspaper. I usually wash the clothing afterward, but this works better for me.
Young woman is amazing! I have moved 14 times I’m getting ready to move from my 15th time and most of those were corporate moves so they were all taken care of and I didn’t have to do anything this time. I definitely have to do some stuff and this young woman has so many great ideas. Start packing and declutter as you go it’s a waste of time to declutter then go back and pack. If you haven’t organized your clothes now is not the time. As you pack your clothes declutter and get organized in the new place it should be easier because now you have less stuff. There were some good tips tho.
Hate moving but some tips are great.I learned you can only pack TV with bubble wrap ,plastic wrap can leave screen swipes.Try to get boxes,egg and apple boxes from grocery are great also tshirts for packing and old pages of magazines,crumpled up.Newspaper is hard to find now,and no more plastic shopping bags since they are bad for environment.I use a piece of cardboard over mirror and picture glass aside from tape.Yes Label per room a new number.K for kitchenLR for living room,B for bedroom,Ba for bath ,P for porch etc Works great for finding things.Any hints on mattress covers you used to get that at Bed bath and beyond.Also Home Depot better for bubble wrap and tuffy tubs etc than Wal-Mart?
I especially liked the marks that allowed me to skip to the next tip if I wanted.
Or if you have plastic bags to wrap your shoes I've found that helpful too

I had to move the contents of my four bedroom home into a storage unit temporarily last year.
That labelling system isn’t gonna cut it. Each box needs the room it goes in plus a number and before you tape it up you take a photo of the contents including the box number. This is now your digital inventory system and will help you make it easier to find things. It will still be difficult but not impossible.

I'd use kraft paper and not parchment. Big rolls are much cheaper.
Instead of parchement paper it's also an idea to use party plates or newspaper to pack them safely

How about mugs of tea pots? ❤️
Put them in a pot or saucepan with kitchen towels or pillowcases wrapped around them. Put the proper lids on the filled pots with a small washcloth or chamois over it and put them on upside down so the knobs on top won’t be in the way of packing them into boxes, easily stacking them. Use a small bit of packing tape to secure the lids on the pots.

I was telling my brother this he has a huge place and he owns a business, he has 2 little girls he works from 4:30 AM to evening's, and I'm normally his nanny but I'm leaving for a month, his wife is leaving for a month, and the grandma is leaving for a month plus he has his daughter's birthday and I like you're gonna be all on your own And hes not paying attention! Lol I told him hes gonna have a hard time guess hes gonna take it on himself

You said that all you need to wrap each dish in parchment paper, except that the label on the box says wax paper. I'm confused

@@ellieanderson2823 You probably know this, but they're not the same thing. They'd serve the same purpose in this context though. But the products themselves are separate. Wax paper probably works a little better for this application and should be cheaper, even though I think both are a waste.
I just didn't want someone to think they can use wax paper in place of parchment for cooking or anything like that.
Most of this is great but why wouldn't you just label the boxes bathroom, kitchen, etc. Very tedious and complicated to do colour coding ... I don't believe the finalists will care enough to remember which colour goes with what room 🤷♀️
