- Could Adventus Mining be the next 10-bagger? I think it has 10X potential in a 5 years time frame which is why it's one of my biggest positions.

Just want to add some things about risk of curipamba and general ecuador mining ( I'm ecuatorian and know about the industry) so first the actual situation of ecuador econmical, political is critical there is a big goberment spending deficit and current financing is really dificult, we are seing a lot of changes in the taxes rigth now,
Also there is a current war state agains the drug cartels that problem has increased the delicuency.
Last elections there where 2 questions that won with a lot of diference agains mining and oil extraction in 2 specific.
But even after all that I think there is value here, the comunity in curipamba want the project to go ahead, and tha is critical, I think there will be not much problems with that, but just wanted to add some points I think are important.

… Really interesting to rewatch after news of the Silvercorp acquisition and how it is perceived by the market.
It seemed a bit strange to me so soon after the Luminex deal but from that perspective the real winner is Ross Beatty who in some sort of bizarre reverse minority takeover is getting a discount on all the interesting tucked away projects that Silvercorp has. He’s doing his buy-and-build model again but using other people to do the work.

Excellent conversation, thanks for that. When I think about Ecuador the first thing that concerns me is their socialist government. Would have liked to have the obvious potential political risk (nationalization) and how this can be mitigated addressed in the conversation.

It was interesting until he said $8 was his price for copper. It will get there one day… but not a reasonable price to use in an interview unless you’re trying to hype it to an uneducated crowd.
Also to label it the best opportunity anywhere, that’s a stretch. It looks worthy of more research, but comments like that are red flags
Agreed, throwing around $8 copper like that is absurd, and detracts from the credibility of the CEO.
Any thoughts on buyout of Adventus?
When the condor project gets ready, and it gets sold for a good deal, other big investors will get interested. Me guess is it will be built on time and on budget. But as soon as condor gets sold and the shovels hit ground, this company stock price will reflect reality.

So Adventus was bought out by Silvercorp Metals at 50 cent a share. Note 25% of El Domo is own by Salazar
Actually bought out will receive 0.1015 of one Silvercore
So much for the possibility of a 10 bagger

The vote is late June. So I'm with Salazar, so I'm 2x-er. Wait for 6 cents, or must buy 5 cents as I did. Seems lots of people just switched

So, what do we think of the merger? Not a 10x, but now we'll own Silvercorp with a bonus El Domo inside.

@@MiningStockMonkey I think so as well. Also like being able to own the asset in an AMEX listed company that's well positioned to participate in this cycle.
how did the silvercorp merger work for you, 4-29-24
I bought at most of my shares 17.5 cents in October (others around .20) so it's a fast exit at nearly a 100% gain from my purchase price. Works for me.

Not that I've heard. I've never submitted Adventus to his rankings to find out.
He had Luminex Resources as a 4 when I asked in December. Called them "an excelent prospect generator".
The stock must be at an all time low, Ross Beaty is buying in the open market. Why is the stock getting hammered?
My best guesses for the stock price getting hammered are: Financing risk, poor market sentiment, and fear of a capex blowout.

Is he buying in the open market? Does not show that in the trading log inside interactive brokers. It shows the transfer of shares at the time of merger, not purchases?
I think they go smaller than 75 million market cap, but this one is pretty small with a lot of growth potential. I think the best potentials are ones valued with a market cap of below 10 million, but it's really hard to get a position in companies so small.
