I’ve resorted to just starting a caravan, ignoring it, and then helping others finish theirs as quickly as possible before someone gets my Brahmin killed. This is the state of the player base: average IQ ~65
never had those problem and never saw anyone doing that, but I get help from other players on every single delivery I do. those griefers are only a tiny handfull people.

First of all, the situation in the video is due to ignorance. Starting your most expensive caravan and finishing others first instead of your own, results in receiving 50 supplies for each completed one. That's why my Brahmin stands and waits for me to finish another one and then I go back to him and go with him. This is how the system looks like to get supplies. I don't intend to help other caravans for 1 supply and you will agree with me on this. I often spend 1k caps on a caravan, so if someone starts it only for it to die and free up space on the map, it's a disgrace. If there is no space, make a relog, and if you want to do it by yourself in peace, go to a private world. What's the problem? Greetings and thanks for the material. I have been joining in on other players caravans but most times they are already running, I am only there to kill stuff so I don't hurry anyones brahmin the caravan owner needs to hurry the brahmin, if no is there I will hang out and wait for a few minutes to see if anyone shows. A couple times waiting now I have seen the caravan brahmin will just start moving forward on it's own even though there is no other players around that I see to have started it.
Saw the same thing happen earlier this evening on PC. 5 of us were on the first caravan and I periodically checked the map, player was on the second caravan then saw it 'moving' on the map, they left the caravan then I saw they were at the third caravan and then they were gone. Second caravan icon disappeared - obviously died so I teleported to the third caravan just in time to see the brahmin killed by honeybeasts. Went back to the first caravan and let the players know in area chat what had happened in case that player started up their own caravan.
-- Still low on the totem (far as caravan upgrades go) but I just run my events myself. Help is welcome, but I really don't need it. One of the things I had to be sure I could do was run them alone. Haven't lost yet. High speed medics is required though.
I had one day that about 6 of us were keeping short caravans running for a few hours. We started them around the same time and found them spaced around the drive. Starting one up, we progressed to the second, then third and so on. We even had the tents set up a long the way. Some escorted, some looted, and we had a good day. We put up the tinker/weapons tents to replenish our ammo and repair as we went. And the bonus supplies were nice too
It's an exploit to earn more supplies. I find it incredibly annoying that players will waste other people's time just to increase their supplies per hour. So I have no problem with starting an abandoned caravan and then letting it fail.

The only way that anyone has their time wasted is if they want to run a caravan. If they want to run one. All they have to do is wait for 1 of 3 to finish and start theirs. It would take the same 20 to 30 minutes to wait as starting someone else's caravan and waiting for it to time out. Since 3 can run at a time. It won't probably be more than 10 minutes wait. Hedge may THINK that their a super mutant, but actually they are a troll, the same kind that have been stalking MMO's since Ultima Online.
Had a person leave their own caravan to go start mine and then leave mine and rejoin their own. Luckily mine survived but I thought that was pretty lame. His would have died if I hadn't stayed to protect it. I dunno what people are thinking.
Be careful when you enter a camp and the house has a very narrow entrance it might have a lot of decoration or buff things but very narrow entrance, it is usually to hide traps that will kill you son they can get your junk. If you see narrow entrance just move somewhere else
Funniest part is they literally get less than just scraps. It's the laziest attempt to get junk but honestly most trap builds are so obvious I just laugh emote and tip my hat and I'm on my way away

@@bobdole7612 I think he meant you get x3 rewards as in you get the rewards of your caravan + the other 2 from other player's caravans. But yeah those 50 supplies from doing someone else's caravan while yours is still up is clearly not intended, better milk it before Bethesda patches it 😂
If I join your caravan, know that I will hurry your moo moo to the end of the mission. The faster you clear them, allows others to do theirs. Then I go back and load up on all the scattered loot. Win win.
Joined a caravan, 12 mins had elasped, the brahmin was walking and almost dead from being attacked by a single tick. Killed the tick, healed the brahmin and proceeded to escort it. Right at the end, the owner shows up to finish it, i get one 1 Iousy supply and the owner proceeds to start giving me the "thumbs down". F this exploit, ppl gonna start nuking the region like Fasnacht out of spite. Just run your convoy so others can run theirs

Between the exploiters constantly running caravans, especially small ones, and the already miserly payout for assisting caravans, I can see this getting toxic. Imma do my part not to make it worse but I can see where this could go
There's always those that think they have the right to rush in and start events they didn't pay caps for or use limited items to begin, I've seen low level players start an event many times with just one or two players present I tend to stand back and wait to see if anyone else shows up if not I let it fail. I mean it's not like their getting any XP or reward for being the first one to start an event.
thats actually the most immature response to that situation, you only hurt your own profits. high levels absorb all the kills so it makes sense there trying to find a way to get exp.

I use a Tesla rifle as my main weapon just for tagging for XP, I leave the kill for others to do cause we all share in the kill / XP that way, but if I see an event is going to fail due to too few players in the beginning, I'm not going to waste ammo, I leave. I'm at 800 plus level I've no real need for "profit" as you call it, I'm more for a good game only, but I don't like losing either. the low-level players need to learn to wait till enough people get to the event before staring it. Starting an event you did not initiate is just plain wrong, and starting one early with minutes left on the countdown clock is just as dumb.
I try that once, meaning starting up my own Caravan and then going to do someone else's just to see if I would get the extra rewards but in the end I would be scared that someone would go start up my Caravan and then I would lose my poor sassy brisket😂

That starting point for a caravan sucks anyway. Having to fast travel to even get to it. This is that idiot and bethesdas fault. Really a crappy mission and it will get worst after the new wears off. Once players run out of things to buy, they will not help others as much.

Fallout community getting very bad of late, probably due to the sudden rise in popularity bringing in some less than ideal humans. First time i joined the game after the legendary change there was about 4-5 people in the Rusty Pick just blasting loud racist/ear bleeding stuff over microphone shouting at people saying why are they "Here to meet underage children." Humanity is hella cringe and embarrassing at times, toxicity in every game I guess thesedays.
I think thats good, the game has become to friendly and homosexual after wastelanders, I have been doing my part to better this by griefing and training lots of griefers. Im happy to see you had fun
Buddy, it's literally always been this way or worse. People fooling themselves that this community is somehow more wholesome than others is utterly delusional. The only things keeping every server chock full of grief is the 24 player limit per server.
you will find many kids on xbox playing fallout 76 , thats the real truth. when you join a public server , make sure is full, more active players doing public events .

Ppl use an unintended "bug" atm... u start ur own cheap carravan but not the event and u join and complete a large carravan from another player and u get 50 supplies as a reward. So he might have an issue with that. There is also a set Limit of Caravans that can be active on a Server at the same time (not 3 tho). My question is why do you care ... not ur caravan so get clicks another way.

Dude this barely happens. I only seen one person do this to mine and i honestly did not care. But when im doing the yield exploit i absolutely care. This is a live service game bro. You will run into griefers all the time. Don't let them be the reason you don't play. The odds of running into a griefer on this game are so low dude. Even if you do you could kick there arse or just leave the lobby.

This is one of the reasons I’m not bothering with caravans yet. Let them fix it first before I deal with those kind of assholes

You also have to watch for bases, auto turrets will occasionally lock onto the Brahmin as well...

Why would you start a caravan run then not immediately go to it.
If you start a caravan, then escort someone else's you get 50 supplies.

I have consistently found that players expecting others to play in a way that they approve are real the toxic ones. Raiders are lore whiners.

Just get the perk light footed "while sneaking, you never trigger mines or floor-based traps" makes all their trolling useless.

For anyone doesn't know, if you start a caravan and complete other caravans before you finish yours, you'll get the full rewards x3.

Nukes don't work in Skyline Valley, all it does is start Neurological Warfare, so many would consider it a bonus :)

It's not an exploit. The game knows you set a large caravan, so it gives 50 as long as your caravan is up. It's just a coding oversight.
