What I love most about Anthony Vincent is that his covers are absolutely unique takes on the song. There are so many other cover artists who literally just do the song in identical beat, dont change the tune at all, and just add a bunch of screams for no reason
He doesn't always nail it, but he almost always puts way more effort into trying than his peers. "Mashups" that are just the original tune with the vocals ripped out and other vocals slapped on top are a bugbear of mine.
Agree on the mashups front entirely! That's why someone like DJ Cummerbund is in a league on his own, because there is so much more mixing going to blend songs together

I know I'm just a random voice on the internet but I hope you won't mind if I say something. I've been following you for years and there are very very few videos you've made that I've missed. You've put enough content out there talking about the desire to do your own original music and not being swallowed by doing covers in different styles....but what you do, when you do a full song like this with new arrangements....it's special. You have a blinding level of talent for...I think homages is the best word for it. You honor the original song, you honor the band's style you are covering. I wonder sometimes if you could pull all these talented musicians you've worked with into a band and tour doing exactly what you've done here. Mix in some original songs but draw people in with these glorious fucking covers, the tried and true method of garage bands everywhere. I'd buy a ticket for a live show of you doing this with some of the individuals you've worked with over the years, and consider it money well spent.
