I’m was self - employed contractor in 1981. In 1986 the farmers weren’t make money and they had sell out. We could go to a farm sale everyday. That was bread and butter, so I decided work for a well farmer in 87 because no work. I worked for three years and got back in construction because it started good again. 2020 was was was a good year again and 21, but had go back to farming again for income. I was burned and raised as a farmer son , so I have in my background. I went to help my cousin and brother on the farm last 2 years. I been living on the same farm that dad bought 63 years ago. Trump 2024
Same thing happened in Paradise California a few years ago after a bad fire. Property owners got screwed, not allowed to return and rebuild. The fires were suspicious as well!
We always mowed for land management so no thought of wasted fuel. Does NY not have a special permits for you to "remove" vermin from damaging your crops? Should apply to tresspassers as well :D :D

I think you are 100% correct on the nitrogen idea. As you said near the end of the video, you definitely don't get all of the corn's nitrogen's needs through the planter, and I feel that adding more later (at the right time) is essential to a good crop.

I used to sidedress nitrogen but got away from and use ESN now. They apply that along with starter at burndown. Saves a trip across the field and not running over corn. You seem to have success with your program so keep on with it but there is an option for you if you want to try it. Great first second and third at the end.

We do nitrogen both ways sidedress and urea pre plant on small fields don’t see any difference. We put stabilizer on it. Only reason we don’t use urea on all of it is it is because takes too much time to apply that much urea.

Where people have to cut wheat that down is where you have the problem. They sent letters out about it. I know some farmers that have been refused. I'm in West Tennessee.

Yes they do. I had nuisance permits until suddenly after about 8 yrs had to renew. Misplaced paperwork and found it after deadline
