The calendar in the last home is dated June of 2015. I saw a few commenters saying they wish I had filmed it. I was able to zoom in on FCPX and get the date. Thanks!
Man, west Virginia is a whole other world. The small mountain towns are full of forgotten homes and businesses. My aunt lives there and it's always unsettling to see the beautiful scenery against some of the poorest places in America
Ain't that the truth! Spent my 1st 21 there. Left for the City weeks after bday. Rarely return, but each time I do, less and less of that "beautiful scenery" remains, given the clear-cutting, mountaintop removal & strip mining, fracking & leveling of entire mountain ranges for commercial development. Certain remote areas are still wild enough that ample wilderness exists, but parts of where I left from are nigh-unrecognizeable now.
I love your abandoned location videos!! They're so thrilling to watch. You know what's sad about these locations is that they tend to be very pretty. If fixed up right they could make good homes again.
YAAAAAAS-yay content on a Saturday night! Love u Dan! I look forward to your videos every Saturday. For real. I have no life and your videos are very entertaining and cool for me. I love them. ❤️
I don't know why, but when Dan opened the Cupboard in the 1st house... And he said "Rusty" it reminded me of Love Shack by B-52's and the part where Kate Pierson says... Your What? Tin Roof. RUSTED! Thanks Dan.
4:35 I always imagine zombie / apocalypse scenarios where you have to venture out and scavage and a can of sweet peas like that would be considered GOLD
Love this video Dan and Dillon! The jade green bathroom fixtures in the first house are coveted by retro enthusiasts like me. When I saw the prescription bottles, I wished you had shown us the names on them, but you probably can’t for legal reasons.
That old black and white photograph on the wall, full of young and beautiful people having the time of their life, in amongst nappies for grownups and misery. Enjoy it while you can, folks. Who knows what the future holds.
What a fascinating and lovely place. So sad it's now all decaying and the lovely old houses with so many memories of those who once lived there, that's the depressing part. The Hotel/Motel must have been something in its day, I wonder if they held political conferences there for the West Virginia region like they do in England? Thanks Dan and Dillon for another great mooch! X
the old exploratory Dan the way I came to your channel. Think you might want to get one of the mini drones that you control with a phone to see in places you cant reach and check how safe it is.
In WV, if you haven't been, check out the abandoned town of Thurmond and the abandoned (but a guy owns the land) amusement park where 2 kids died. They are near each other.
We travel there every year to visit family. You would be surprised at the places you find and there are a lot of abandoned gems. However what appears abandoned may be occupied as poverty and drugs is all over West Virginia. What looks rural to some of us may be a town there. Ive had my fair share of explorations and drove on several mountains. Absolutely a beautiful state with lots of history. Lots of places to explore that hasn't been yet. Hopefully your up to taking on more of this beautiful and historic land and who better then the man who started it all!
omgggggggg your back exploring urban style im so happpy cooool place but sad thats west by god virginia its great to see you back and doing urbex exploring awesome hunting seee ya sooon
It’s really insane to see all these abandoned properties. My guess is that the people that lived there were old and had no family, so the houses were left to rot. I’ve seen some videos of abandoned mansions, and it’s wild to see the furniture and items still in the place, including antiques that are probably worth a pretty penny. I also saw videos that showed that homeless people were squatting in these abandoned homes.
If you ever find yourself in Virginia I highly recommend exploring Pulaski county located about 50 min from the VA / WV state line. They have an abandoned hospital that was built and operated in the 1920’s… abandoned schools for “colored” folks… I mean it’s a gold mine for abandoned history.
It's called a flue pipe. You would hook up a wood stove to it. A stove is more efficient and a bit safer to use than a fire place. You just fun the pipe into the chimney to get rid of the smoke.
What county is this in? My mother took me exploring when I was a kid back in the 90's & the newest old paper we found was dated the year she was born (1955). Every room had a fireplace where it wasn't connected to any power source. I found out that that had just torn down the slave quarters like a year before we moved out her (WV). She brought the newspaper article with the date on it home. That's how we got Mr Black.

Exactly. When he was at his best!

Isn't there sometimes things to go by like milk cartons that would give the best idea of when someone last lived there?
Seems like a lot of old people with no family just perished and their houses were left and that’s it, sad.
You’d think the homes would be auctioned off or the property purchased by the town. But I guess not.
Very sad… 😢
It obviously hasn't been left. Someone is trying to take care of this property but as you can see thieves and trespassers don't care about that.
Most likely due to them taking out reverse mortgages. The banks from all of the country own the homes at their death.

I love all your content Dan but you turned me on to abandoned places years ago and I just love when you do these vids! 😘
I don't know why, but when Dan opened the Cupboard in the 1st house... And he said "Rusty" it reminded me of Love Shack by B-52's and the part where Kate Pierson says...
Your What?
Tin Roof.
RUSTED! Thanks Dan.
Awesome explore! I have missed the Dan of the old days. This was such a treat this morning. Rock on Dan.
4:35 I always imagine zombie / apocalypse scenarios where you have to venture out and scavage and a can of sweet peas like that would be considered GOLD
Check out The Vegan Zombie on TH-cam. He just made a movie about this.
The King of abandoned videos ! Thank you Dan ❤
dead malls are cool, dirty room is fun but this is why I subscribed to you way back in 2014. nothing like a good ol fashioned urbex
same. Dead malls kept me around.
Love this video Dan and Dillon! The jade green bathroom fixtures in the first house are coveted by retro enthusiasts like me. When I saw the prescription bottles, I wished you had shown us the names on them, but you probably can’t for legal reasons.
Dan Bell! The Master is back.
That old black and white photograph on the wall, full of young and beautiful people having the time of their life, in amongst nappies for grownups and misery. Enjoy it while you can, folks. Who knows what the future holds.
Great video. Like others have said would love to get a sense of when it was last lived in, like a shot of the calendar, expiration dates, etc.
Great Dan! This is the stuff u r really good at. Dead Hotel videos r still my favorites.
Great tour! Loved the beadboard house with the huge windows! Too bad the floors were wrecked. Thank you!
I live about 20 minutes north of Ingleside! I've always wanted to creep around there, there's an abandoned asylum very close to there as well.
I hope Dan finds out about the asylum and goes back to film it 🙌
Hope you’re doing well Dan, your talent shines bright in these videos!
Amazing video Dan, impressive and creepy locations, nice work and awesome video thank you
The creator of the best abandoned content 🙌🏼
Hell yeah nobody does it like Dan
Great you’re doing abandoned videos like this again, thank you so much!
glad to see these videos back, the hotel series was my favorite but it isnt worth the pain it put you through
Hell yes, I love abandoned places in the WV/OH area. Great work Dan Bell :)
Happy to see you back Dan!! ❤
I really like these kind of videos! Please keep doing them! Happy travels Dan.
That last house was so well built. Too bad it's been left abandoned.
Awesome video. My wife and I used to live in Buchanan VA and we went in the abandoned Dejarnette building in Staunton back in 2018.
I cannot believe you didn't get a shot of the calendar on the wall 😭
Was just about to post the same thing. Love to get an idea the last time it was actually lived in.
June 2015
Dan, I`m so happy to see a video from you!!! Missed you so much
So glad you are back Dan! Loving the new videos!🥰🥰 And the one with Adam The Woo!
Love your voice. Great for telling stories. I used to watch all your videos, where have you been.?
This is awesome Dan!! Thank You So much for these videos!!
9:15 You have to step over that commode to get in/out of the shower? Not much planning, here!
So happy to see a new video brightens my day!!! Thanks for all of your hard work!

Awesome to watch! Missed you Dan Bell!
Back after not watching for awhile. Love the content. Its just like the old days ❤
Curious what the calendar year is having on the wall
Very interesting to see! Thanks Dan!
14:25 That picture is incredible 😮
I love these kind! Great video, Dan!
This is my summer home. Why did you smash my bathroom walls and steal my pipes for?
That picture toward the end reminded me of "The Shining", dude. 😳
Love ALL ur stuff...esp Nightmare Fuel. Seen you on ur TED talk. Been watching a long time. Be well and please do some more shopping trips with Rick
Dan Bell back in the bandos, hurrah!
Such strange architecture. Motel rooms with greco-roman columns.
The Ingleside is in Virginia...are the bando houses in WV then?
I've always loved this content. also, smart to get an f150 to blend in.
Thank you Dan!
That oven is so freaking clean!
Thanks Dan😊
Reminds me of the early days where you'd find a little place to explore.
That pic on the floor looked like Jr. Brown, a country artist
In that last house the Beadboard Paneling, the Fireplace, I would guess at best 1920's. The CREEPY DOLL House, L-O-L !
Wish I was there with you guys when you filmed this! 😂Looks so interesting. Hope you have a great evening guys!❤😊

I want the stove from the second house and the green sink, tub and toilet from the first one 😂
These vintage furniture are so pretty, a shame that it was left to rot
Hi There Dan👋 good to see another video from you, you take care now. Stay awesome 😎👍📸
If you were anywhere near the Appalachian trail, and hear something off, no you didn’t.
Words. Placed in odd order, yes.
Isn't Ingleside in Staunton, VA?
That first house could easily be renovated in a few weeks and lived in again. Shame to see all these houses rot.
thanks for showing us the abandoned horror houses
"Still in West Virginia...

What is that creepy screaming noise?"
You had me at Creeeepy..,hahaha Dan you rock

They are not abandoned. Someone owns them. It is personal property.
You shoulda tried some of the food left behind
Good stuff, Dan!
That resort is such an '80s building
That oven looked quite clean.

13:29 what is that tube coming out of the fireplace? I’ve never seen a setup like that.

@@josephgioielli Thanks!
1:25 From far away it looks like an asylum.
Look at the sky right over the house...it's the things that the planes make now everywhere, but it's all over the top of house...it's creepy..
Dan, YOU are the caretaker.
Like the fireplace❤
Because the lawn is cut, that makes it better than 90% of houses in WV lol
It's pretty strange how the grass is cut around those abandoned dwellings,...why?!
Because it belongs to someone and they are trying to take care of it , but as you can see it doesn't stop thieves and trespassers.

how do you find places like this?
7:19 those kinds of places are where you'll find an overdose body, be careful
Dan, you are my favorite!
Thank you!!!🔥🔥🔥
Nice!! Thank you, Dan!❤
So excited!!!luv ya guys ! Be carefull!!
Postatrt
Lmao at Dillon looking like he’s about to rob a liquor store 😂 love these Dan ❤
The last house was beautiful
Why didnt you check the food for expiration dates?
for being abandoned, that parking lot asphalt looked better than most new pavement work
