@@akankshacrochets i know some people skip out on the swift and hold the hank on their knees, but I definitely recommend a winder at least! because you can use it to rewrap skeins if they come undone, or if you want to split up skeins, you can create smaller cakes of yarn!

I believe you're supposed to turn hanks into skeins or cakes of yarn using a swift and a ball winder!
