Well, believe it or not, I ran into another, which I'm sure was a chain, Guthrie's. Found one of these in the Steelyard Commons shopping center in Cleveland a few years back.
I personally had a tour of a Raising Canes kitchen as I was going to be a Restaurant Leader (GM) for one of their stores in Chicago. The breading is straight up corn flakes and the chicken has ZERO SEASONING. The entire “taste factor” solely depends on the cane sauce. If you try to eat it without it, you’ll notice right away that there’s not much flavor to be had. NOT TO MENTION THE FRIES ARE ASS as well as the toast. I’d get it if they had somewhat decent seasoning like Taco Bell serves them, but nope. Bland and flavorless crinkle cut fries. I honestly do not understand the appeal of Raising Canes. They charge so much for doing the absolute bare minimum. If you’re never had it, please go get tenders somewhere else.
I’ve never heard of Raising Cane’s. Apparently, there are three locations in New York City, and surrounding area, but not here on Long Island. And I’m a grown man, so I generally don’t get chicken tenders. But I do like Popeyes chicken, and their shrimp. I like spicy. And variety. I’ll stick with Popeye’s.
11:29 "... Cane's tastes better by every metric, other than how they're seasoned, when eaten plain" wth This makes no sense at all! Are we comparing chicken or sauces?
This video is comparing apples to oranges . Raising Canes does ONE thing ! Chicken Tenders ! PERIOD Popeye's has a whole menu of other options , and food choices . If I'm looking for real chicken taste and variety , I'll hang with Popey's
Canes lack of menu variety (wings, legs, thighs, chicken filet sandwich, nuggets etc) puts it behind the competition. Lack of sauce options is IMO a definite no-no. If not for the ok/mid Cane Sauce, this chain sucks. They don't even toast both sides of your Texas Toast. Mashed; you got this review totally wrong.
Other than Cane’s sauce, Cane’s is HIGHLY overrated! Whataburger’s chicken has more flavor. The toast at Cane’s is pathetic, and it’s a bland soggy nightmare!
I've been to Popeye's for tenders countless times. I've been to Cane's once. Bland, dry chicken. Soggy fries. Tasteless bread. Lousy sauce. I won't be going back.
I used to live in Bakersfield so I got Popeyes frequently. Love it!!! Never heard of Canes. Unfortunatly I now live is small town Arizona in the mountains & there is no Popeyes anywhere near me.
I have never had Popeyes Tenders but I had Raisimg Caines Tenders a month ago. I was there to try to try the sauce as I heard the tenders themselves weee just okay. For me though it was the opposite. I was blown away how great the tenders tasted at Raising Caines. The sauce was good, but below what I expected it to taste like.
And what if you don’t like the cane sauce. It’s just hype. Raising canes is not my first choice for chicken tenders/strips. Only in a pinch....it will do.
If you're like me and you don't like Raising Canes sauce, you're going to be eating the most bland chicken ever made. I find it kind of stupid to rely so much on just your sauce to sell chicken.
Yeah, seems like grocery chain tenders might actually be best, along with some of their mac and cheese (yeah, had to bring up Giant Eagle again). LOL!!
My wife loves Cain’s but her last meal was $18.00 plus. So I think that was a punch to the wallet for “barnyard pimp”!!! I only eat dark meat because white is so dry. So Cain’s is probably off the menu until the price comes way down!!!
Yeah... I'm sorry but I can't get behind this ruling. Even if they are the 'healthier' option, Canes tenders don't touch Popeyes by a mile and it is the seasoning that matters. You could throw every Popeyes tenders sauce option off the table and Popeyes spicy tenders still reign supreme. Combine that with the fact that Canes tenders rely wholly on the sauce to even be adequate in the first place almost makes any healthy option discussion moot. But in the spirit of that... we ain't eating chicken tenders for health. We're eating tenders for taste. That's my two cents.
I disagree with Popeyes chicken I think raising canes chicken is better besides it fresh and the sauces is to die for their Texas toast is so buttery and good and their fries arent to salty either
Bill Millers smokes both of these lame lackluster restaurants. Followed by Blanco Bbq for tenders outright. Nobody is beating them at all. Must suck to not live in south Texas 💯🤌🏼
Who do you think makes the best chicken tenders?
In a pinch, raising cane will do. Not my first choice. I had a very bad experience with Popeyes 15+ years ago and haven’t been back
Canes!
Golden Chick.

Dave's Hot Chicken!

Did Canes pay yall ? Cuz this video is a damn lie.
Raising canes tenders are mid af and they charge out the ass for literally tenders and fries 😂😂😂
yeah and if they didn't have dipping sauce, they ain't 💩... flavorless
@MrLeroyJacob their sauce is ass to me, wish they had options for sauce, ranch would be nice
@@RegularJoes I guess we have to bring our own!
@@MrLeroyJacob I've got Wingstop ranch to use, very good
Raising Canes is tasteless
Haven't had cane's by the comments look like I ain't miss much
Popeyes Chicken 🐔🍗🐔🍗 is Better!!!
real whole chicken every day over stirps

Raising Canes portion sizes are too small. The coleslaw basically comes in a sauce container. Popeye's is the best.
Chicken tenders from cane’s raising have’s the right ideal ,on how to give the people what they need.

PDQ has the best chicken tenders and sauce that you can find in a fast food restaurant.
I've been to Popeye's for tenders countless times. I've been to Cane's once. Bland, dry chicken. Soggy fries. Tasteless bread. Lousy sauce. I won't be going back.
Raising Canes reminds me of the, "Cheeseburger/ Pepsi" skit from SNL, that's how limited their menu items are.
Cheeseburger, cheeseburger , cheeseburger Pepsi !
Treat this subject tenderly
The breading is better with Cane’s chicken, than Popeyes. It’s lighter in carbs. I think Cane’s chicken also tastes better to me.
I'm a simple man, I like either plain tenders or honey mustard. That's it!
Yeah this isn't bias at all.....
The Popeye’s in Bakersfield was really good. The one in Chico sucks. So it depends on the franchisee, I guess.
I used to live in Bakersfield so I got Popeyes frequently. Love it!!! Never heard of Canes. Unfortunatly I now live is small town Arizona in the mountains & there is no Popeyes anywhere near me.
Canes is by far the BEST!

Without any sauce, yes Canes sauce is nasty, Cane's chicken is very bland, no seasoning. Their fries taste frozen too. I'll take KFC any day
Zaxby’s is better than both of those.
@@pathoyer5402 as a Georgia dude, i approve this message.
No. It is very far from the best chicken. The disrespect is real.
Overall I prefer Cane's than Popeyes.I don't mind paying a little more .If Cane's aren't available I definitely would accept Popeyes to
Nice Cane's commercial promo. At least here in Mesa AZ Canes is a lot more expensive, and if you take away the Cane's sauce, they're not that great.

I can eat either in a pinch, but HOW does Canes RUIN Texas toast?!?!? It’s like chewing on a soft plastic, bleaugh!

Chicken Express beats them both!

Frozen Dino Bites are the best, forget chain tenders
Cane’s chicken tenders taste like FLOUR- YUCK!!!
Raising Cane's sauce is pure 💩
I disagree with Popeyes chicken I think raising canes chicken is better besides it fresh and the sauces is to die for their Texas toast is so buttery and good and their fries arent to salty either
I would die if you made me eat that nasty sauce
Cane’s is the winner!!!
I like Cane's better in all ways than Popeye's. Cane does not burn my mouth with spices. I will stick with Cane's.
lmfao richer flavor...
Raising Cane's is trash. W/o the sauce its nothing
Popeyes actually seasons their chix
