I just got into yoyos about a year ago with my first being the Magic Yo-yo stealth and my second a shutter. I messed around with those two for a while then seen the iceberg and had to have one. I wanted the blue one but it sold out so quickly I was left with only the plain one. When it arrived I was seriously blown away and haven’t put it down since. I liked it so much that as soon as they were restocked I bought the blue one and now have the black and blue one on order. It’s seriously that good!
Thanks for such a great in-depth review! I was looking to buy a new yoyo, and I was about to buy a Shutter WA when I stumbled upon the Iceberg. It just looks so sick, and I’m seeing nothing but top-tier compliments.
Yeah I got the black rim finally. Couldn't find these for a while after they came out but yoyoexpert had 'em and I had to hop on it. Haven't put it down since. My favorite yoyo by far
watch alot of yoyo reviews. wish you, along with the other reviewers, would include sound as a new category to review. have been looking all over for descriptions of the sound of different yoyos. all people ever talk about is bearing lube. very into audio. speakers and amplifiers what have you. know its not too important of a trait but is still worthy of mentioning. the sound contributes to the characteristic of the throw. could contribute to what makes the protostar such a fun throw. couldnt imagine if the proto’ was deafly silent. thank you for making this consideration.
Got one. From release. Awesome throw but it does not surpass the edge for me. Even then it's a great learning throw. Maybe I have to get used to it. The edge feels very different so maybe I gotta lay down the edge and play more with the iceberg to really start loving it. I like it. But I have to give it some more chances to get on the 1st place of my favorites wich the edge is now.
If you don’t like it as much as the Edge that’s fine! The Edge is a fantastic bi-metal. One of the best example of what they should be: light, fast, and very different feeling
TokYo-Yo Thats exactly how I feel about it. But I can't get used to the iceberg. I really can't play with it that much because it is so loud! My girlfriend, sister and dad hate the high pitched sound... I tried everything to get it more quite. From cleaning to over lubing to changing the baring.
iCEBERG spins longer, but the Vapormotion is lighter and faster. Personally, I think the iCEBERG is better, but they are both amazing. iCEBERG would be better for competition.

Actually I consider this to be an important aspect, as I have a baby and when I play at light noise is a huge factor. I’ll consider it!

It happened to me too. Played it for two more hours and it got super quiet ahain

I’ve never checked spin time on my yoyos. If it gets through my tricks that’s good enough for me!
