Huw Stephens played it in bbc Wales, and I had to pause it and look for it here to save it in my playlist. I love harps but the voice is beautiful! And the wind instrument and percussion embrace the melody so harmoniously. Thank you for the lyrics, btw. Greetings from a Spanish speaker in Scotland.
There is a glorious, fearless edge to Cerys's music. The willingness to push the envelope on an already rich tradition with such style, verve and talent is creating a body of work that is, and I exaggerate not, wonderful. Together with Ren, I would say that Cerys Hafana is the other musical discovery of the decade. An absolute multi faceted jewel. Bendigedig, Cerys! Da iawn, dwi'n cari ti'n art. Apologies for my Welsh, by the way. Dwi'n dysgu ond dw i angen ymarfa moi
Absolutely beautiful,.. Initially I thought 'ah another great Icelandic artist.. But assuming it's Welsh! Can't wait for the Album 'Thread' to come out on the 16th September!!
It is so beautiful and moving your music that I don't need to understand the lyrics although I imagine they have to be lovely as the images of the video, connected to Nature. Very warm regards from a little village placed near the center of Spain
I remember you playing a song in Aberystwyth Ceredigion Museum and asking if anyone had a name for an exquisite tune you played on the harp. I just visualised the power of a tiny stream or a trickle that with many drops of rain and little trickles of water all came together to make the astounding noise of a waterfall. I didn't think of a name though so if didn't approach you but I had that vision and ai wonder what that song is called now and I hope you still play it.

I heard Cerys for the first time last Thursday at the opening of ‘Other Voices’ Cardigan. Mesmerising. Truly beautiful 🙏

Well expressed, I agree!
So looking forward to seeing Cerys Hafana perform at Basingstoke on the 17th February.
No idea what this is about but the exciting polyrhythms had me hooked immediately. And then that voice...
Thank you !!

Ah that's so lovely! I actually named it Nant yr Arian in the end ('silver stream' - so fits your image!), and I still play it! x
