Hi Steve, very helpful. Have you an update on how things are in your loft with regards to cold and heat? I potentially could put my layout there - it wouldn't be an exhibition layout, so won't need for all of your tips, but more just about space and heat and cold if using a loft. hi Tod thanks for your comment about the loft .I am lucky in that from floor to top of roof is about 11ft so i put a lower ceiling to about 7' 6 and put some insulation so most of the heat is trapped in there but it still gets hot and cold in the loft .I use a 12'' fan in the summer and 2 halogen heaters that move side to side .In the winter i put them under the layout .So the heat rise up to the boards and spreads keeping your legs warm make shore theirs a safe gap between heater and boards TRY NOT TO USE A GAS HEATER DO TO THE FUMES hope this is what you wanted if not get back to me all the best
