This song could so easily have been written at the height of Roxy fame. When Bryan sings a song of loss or longing no-one can get near him, his voice carries the feeling of hurt and almost despair. Spine tingling. And that piano.......beautiful.
I saw Mr ferry at the Royal Albert Hall many moons ago. He and his band were fantastic. I will never forget a concert of a life time! Thank you for sharing!
During my first year of secondary school I remember momentarily bonding with a fellow pupil with whom I had absolutely no other affinity, when we discovered that we were both Bryan Ferry fans and found him 'so sexy'. Nearly 40 years later, I'm still listening to his masterpieces over and over. And hope to be still able to for another few decades!
Chaque concert de Bryan Ferry est un véritable festival de guitares. J'aime bien le côté humble et simple du personnage et sa manière de laisser ses musiciens s'exprimer.
Indeed. The album did have Brian Eno, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera, Chris Spedding on it... Also, David Gilmour, Guy Pratt, Johnny Greenwood. Crazy good talent.
Could someone try to fix the lyrics a bit further down plz! I tried a couple times, but every time I use my phone, my sweat makes the sharpie ink run! Thanks..
Watching Bryan Ferry videos is like eating a bag of chips. Once you start it is hard to stop
He's like a super-stylish Pringle.
I,agree
Thanks for the post! Oh Bryan Ferry! Cool classy elegant but so so sad. Almost weepy!
❤❤❤ROXY MUSIC/BRYAN FERRY ALL THE TIME ANYTIME ❤❤❤
Oliver Thompson is brilliant 👌 What a young talent 👍
With stunning Oliver Thompson, Chris Spedding and Jorja Chalmers. Purely eargasmic!

OMG ...
As I recall reading, some of the Olympia material was the product of an attempted Roxy Music revival album. So this all makes sense.
I know. His songs bring words to my pain whenever I am going thru sh*t.

Soul-stirring, emotional. His best song ever.

Happy birthday,mr.Ferry.
Bryan's best song on OLYMPIA.
+Oliver Hansert Agree, but I also like 'Me oh my' He should make an album with such type of songs alone.. BF + piano. Just that.
His best song since 1985
agreed.
Bryan i love you!
Just incredible. Of course they are all wonderful and have to be, to be on the stage with Mr Ferry, bravo, bravo. I will listen till I die.
Chris Spedding is a rock & roll god

Oliver Thompson grande chitarrista, stupefacente!!!
I don't know why nobody says anything about Ferry's bass players. they are uniformly excellent, all the way back to Roxy.
I totally agree. Roxy has the greatest basslines, ever! Who wrote them?
Kiki U Roxy Music had a long list of bass players, Jon wetton, Gustafson, sp ? Graham Simpson among others
Guy Pratt has played bass for ferry, not sure if it is him here
John Wetton
The king of cool and style. Magic and surreal.
Brilliant 👏👏👏
At 2:11, Chris Spedding gives Oliver the nod: "Unleash hell, dude"
This song is amazing
Fabulous.....easily could be a Roxy song...

i agree. she looks like one of the great beauties of the 1960's, like Jill Ireland or Jane Fonda or Julie Christie.

It's a it Harry Potter who else thinks so or just me
Weergaloos
Zijn beste nummer sinds 1988!
why, why does everything has to be over the top and "progressive" and this process destroying the very essence ?!
Shame about the whining of the "guitarist" who shouts above the Rest and so ruining a beautiful song and performance.
Didn't like this album much sorry
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
