    Lighting can be frustrating. But it’s good to hear someone say I just don’t know why it works. I keep looking for hard and fast rules, but with lighting, there aren’t a whole lot of them. It’s an art.

    I like hearing the posibilities and emotions can bring lighting in filmaking.
    One simple change or adding another lightbulb can make a huge diference

    Great video.
    There is a subject that my mind hasn't understood yet and it's called negative fill. I would love to see a video of such subject, because the concept is very intriging to those who wants to learn how to properly light a scene.

    Another fascinating insight. I can completely relate to this.. Similar to trying to quantify why photographic composition works - sometimes it just does.

      Im in school learning about lighting rn. Im going to be a gaffer next week on a music video. Its great to hear from a professional what its like for him. "Lighting is arbitrary" is interesting. Perhaps it is,once you master the basics like 3 point lighting and learning to light the subject not the background. I still mess that up
