I see a lot of people saying it's a copy/paste of last year, but I doubt those people have actually played. I noticed a huge difference immediately. Seems to be the biggest jump forward in a while. I'm really enjoying the game.
@@ajmpatriot4899 of course! I have zero regrets. If you get it, I highly recommend doing all of the HUT moments first. You'll get a good head start on building your team. I agree with everything in O.P.'s reply above this too. Make sure you get those "perfect" one timers down. It took me a minute to adjust. The name makes it seem like they have to be timed as soon as the puck reaches you. You actually need to time them BEFORE the puck reaches you. Once you get that down, you'll be lighting people up. I tend to aim to the bottom corners with those and it seems to work well.
That's hilarious considering it's actually the most copy/paste replica to the year before ever. If there's any difference whatsoever, it's for the worse, being slower and one timer heavy.
@@leucifer2 It's hockey. You gamer's nag more and cry more than women. You can pick up any year and play hockey. I still play NHL 94 and guess what...same formula. Put puck in net. Have fun. This ain't real life. If you really want to simulate hockey get a pair of skates and get on the ice and learn it in real time. It's a videogame lol. It's never going to be realistic and it's a sports game. It's not like they are going to add new weapons and stealth action to the goalie.
@landshark616 that would be a nice addition to the i can remember the older games having a zanboni mini games inbetween periods might be nhl blitz no sure
Is that why I am seeing a lot of gameplay video of people that look like they know nothing about hockey, but trying to play? I'm not sure what hybrid controls are, but I see no moves, no use of the new feature with using edges and lots trying to take one player against 4 only to take a stupid slapper.
@@wildcard4life746 well yeah. It would help if there was a tutorial (not the in game one, it sucks) on how to play and if the menu screens that have all the controls didn’t just throw it all up on us… you have people looking up how to win face-offs because the way they tell us is jumbled 😂😂.
I really like that, too. I think a big part of it is the lower level caps. Last year, everyone had 99's across the board flying all over the ice. I know these will go up, but hopefully not to THAT extreme.
The commentary is as awful as it's ever been. It doesn't sound like they're naturally responding to the action in front of them, there's exaggerated excitement when it's not reflected in the play and comments that are woefully out of place. After just five seconds have passed, we get 'Lots of time left in this period, we've still got zeros on the board.' Yeah, no shit.
It never looks real until you apply some judicious slider adjustments...and go through the entire league and boost the defensive awareness and reduce the agility of every player. Then it plays so much like real hockey it's incredible.
The intro to puck drop is WEAK ASF... Show some goalie stats or add some narrative to the game
Right! I still play NHL 19 because of this. The intro in 19 is so good. With Eddie Olczyk and Doc Emerick.
5:00 i forgot this music, help pls
@sqiz4063 im sorry im unsure

@@BrandinPlaysRPGs no sadly not that wouldve been nice though

This comment was helpful. Thanks. I was on the fence about getting it. 👍
@DangOlJesse its plays totally different from last year more challenging and slower and player reaction more realistic

Can not wait to get it on the Xbox after I get the console. I notice the scoreboard is ESPN style.
Same old shit , no intro to the line ups coming out the tunnel no Zamboni, it’s still and up and down game back and forth ..

Iam going get this game can't wait till it comes out
Looks great
I can’t get by the PBP guy’s voice
I can't believe there is no NHL 2K for PC :c
Why is it so dark lol
Bro playing 3 minute periods
Rookie difficulty on hybrid controls

@GOCAPSDMV gotta start somewhere i guess. Glad you are enjoying it. Always happy to see a new player growing the game population.

@sourceow8795 he can feel the electricity in thw air 😂
Ye certainly can go pens!
This looks way less clunky than 24! Looks good! How are you liking it so far?
It definitely feels very different
Skating feels quite slow compared to previous years takes a little getting used to but really enjoying the game so far
@jakecarney5885 yeah it is quite slow compared to previous releases

@DangOlJesse its more realistic aswell because of that

@@demon27dan haha yeah still plenty of time to get it patched and fixed by NHL 26 lol
im a pro...
Why is the skating speed like they're running in sneakers? Wtf? Slow as hell.
This don't look teal
