Through the words, "i'll be your enemy", it is his other form of saying i'll be by your side, but, in another way... this is so that person he cares about could show their 'true', 'real', 'unmasked' self to him as they will be regarding him as someone else (an enemy) and not a loved one. I can't explain it well, but this song had brought me so much comfort and warmth. The message of it can vary a lot depending on how listeners perceives it, however, with the songs melody, lyrics and Taemin's voice itself, it is completely healing.
