You are the only one on youtube who is helping me learn to sing better, I went trough soooo many youtubers to learn singin but they don't explain as much as you do and I thank you Saher very much :)
Wow, this is absolutely perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. I want to improve my singing and I appreciate how thought out this is! :) Thank you so much!
The quick tempo can be difficult for some at first, but with practice you will be able to keep up with ease. It needs to be fast to prevent you from engaging external musculature and forcing the notes.
Hey man, I thought i could never sing like the pros and always thought that i was born with inability to sing until i purchased your download(the bundle) 3 days ago. I've been practicing twice a day for past 3 days and improved soooo much and my confidence about being a great singer has gone through the roof! I'm no pro by any means and still have a long way to go. I just wanna say THANK YOU SO MUCH! And if there is anyone out there who thinks they can't sing, buy the bundle, because you can!
Your Cd´s for vocal & vibrato vocal training work well. I started doing your lesson from your videos here on youtube, and felt my voice change a bit by practicing the demonstration lessons. I´m going to be a year already since a bought your lesson and I seen a great result. Even do I think some of the exercises are to fast they work good. At first I use to practice it daily, a lesson per day. For like 10 months a practice the lesson every know and then, lesson per session. My voice came back!!
@AndreSiraSebastian Cracking and straining are two signs that you're either pushing too high for yourself at the moment or attacking the notes improperly.
this is the best video on singing lessons I found so far on youtube, a lot people just talk the whole time and no lesson, thank you very much for sharing this
Some people don't know how to humm, the M sound is produced by the lips hik-hik-hik its a constant, all the notes are on the vowels are produced by the Resonators, but the constants are produced by the mouth, tongue, lips, teeth are very much involved in singing.
Few days ago I asked God to make me a better singer, and then just a few days later, I get your video in my inbox. I've been doing your exercises and have to say you are truly a blessing from God man! Im making good progress, so I thank you man! :)
so amazing! i've been wanting to practice this stuff forever after taking a few of my own voice lessons but my piano is so out of tune. this is so helpful thank you very much!
That's the whole idea of these videos- to help you improve. Loads of people are unhappy with their voices when they start out- but through focused and dedicated practice, you can create a voice that you love :)
You are the best music teacher, in following u always the way u teach makes me more confident and has an improve every time I practice ur voice lesson thank u very much SAHER GALTZ
so far, the most sensible video about voice lessons and this is coming from someone whose grandparents are opera singers and voice teachers... lessons are not really encompassing all but it covers the basics... thumbs up for this!
This is an absolutely great job. Thank you so much. You explain everything so nicely and break it down to simple steps.....by the end of the fourth video, I felt like I had gone to the gym...and my voice felt so much nicer and more open. Excellent job.
Thank you very much for uploading this video and sharing us a little bit of what you know! It's gonna be a great help for me. My voice teacher passed away a few months ago and I just stopped singing, but now you inspired me to keep going. Thanks a lot!
You might be burying the hum in the back of the throat? As you get higher, let the tone feel like it's rising up the front of the face instead. Sounds bizarre, but it works.
One of my goals in life is to sing. My father and sister sing so wonderfully and easily that I find it hard to believe that I am THAT bad... but I am really flat and cannot keep a beat... I think I could learn, so I hope that I can grasp that from your lessons. Thank you.
@SacredTear187 Intuitive thinking, but go only as low and as high as you can comfortably sing now -- you'll find that distance expands with regular practice and good technique. If you strain to go beyond the range in which you're comfortable, you won't speed your progress, but may develop difficult to break habits. Short answer: if you start to strain at any point in your range, don't sing there :]
So, I just found your video lessons and I think you're going to be my favorite youtube coach. I really needed to find a coach who I could connect with on a deeper level than just singing. I can tell you are really passionate about what you do and you actually enjoy it. I like that you get lost in even the most basic warm up. Tomorrow or the next day, I will be downloading your digital voice lessons in hope of improving my voice. I really hope you are what I've been looking for. We shall see~
sbgalt these lessons are awesome. I've been doing it for a month like you suggested. I can notice a big difference. I was singing the aeroplane jelly song and one of my friends overheard me and said what the hell, you can sing...these videos are awesome! Can u upload more like these please?
you sir are awesome for uploading these really helpful vids, im doing my first performance in school in november and im doing the song, "remembering sunday" by all time low and there are some high notes that i have to reach and this really helped, thanks dude
incredible... from the first time i did it i can already see a change in my voice tone and stuff... its just because i warmed up before i sing right now... but it already feels like it is getting better
Hey I just wanted to let you know that your lessons have paid off for me!! I got on stage with a band last week and I started singing and now they want me to play with them!! Yay! Thank you so much! :-D
If you are serious about really learning and developing...look no further...Galt is the real deal- thank you my brother for giving it away...we do it for the pure passion and you make that statement real. Peace Craig
hi, I heard myself sing the other day and I was gutted, I thought I sounded so much better! really hope your videos help me out, will keep you updated! thanks for doing this, very much appreciated! xxx
Thank you soo much for all your videos.. I have been following your lessons regularly. They are very informative. please could you make for songs too? like how to sing a particular song plz?? Thanks Once Again. Really appreciate your Hardwork.
Hi, Thank you for this video. I used to do exercises like this with The Sweet Adelines International Chorus. We would warm up before every practice. I hadn't exercised in a while, and I'm going to audition for a 50s band on Monday. Just on a whim. Found you here to see if I could find someone to follow with just exactly what you did. So again, thank you. : )
@LuvCandiie im not really a singer (thats a big understatement) but to use ur diaphragm u can try putting ur hands on the diaphragm area under the ribs and above the tummy area. Just try to breathe out with it and keep doing that, if u r doing it correctly u should feel it vibrate n move as u breathe. After u have mastered the art of breathing through the diaphragm u can start singing with it. It stops u from straining ur vocal chaords n results in a deeper n more flowing voice. just practice. x
Got your offer. I have no need for the lessons, but keep up the good work. Love the sound of your digital keyboard. Sounds just like a Steinway in the lower end. Those are cool to play. I love their sound the best. The bass tones are very resonant and rich, like your keyboard. What model did you invest into?
I do this exercise already ^_^. I also do a "Bumblebee Tuna"-warmup, we do free-flow (don't know what to call it, but one person sings and we all sing around it), going up in down the scale with different vowels.
Yes i have very much. Im doing these 4 videos once a day + (some songs after) and these scales are really good to train your voice, i can hit lower and higher notes much better and easier now and people also say i have really improved in my singing. but you also really gotta be commited, or you will never get anywhere with your singing imo. hope this helps :)
thank for the link, however, I tend to sing baroque music for my warm ups. There are a lot of runs up and down the scale and other breathing acrobatics that help me get warmed up. chris
thanks so much for these lessons man.... iv been trying to learn how to sing while playing guitar and this is really going to help making the singing a lot easier! Keep up the good work bud!
i know i Already commented today...But, i had to come again to say THANKS, my most Sincere thanks, after i finished today´s lesson (4vids) i started to sing, and something snapped, like : " oh, now i get it" and now i can sing so much Higher...when i tried a song wich i used to fail at singing it and i was able to do it, i started to cry ...i cried for the first time in 5 or 6 years! THANKS!
Hello Galt! thank you for these great singing lessons! I saw your video "how to sing high notes" and I have a question for you: When I'm doing the exercises with you, there's a moment when it's hard to sing very high notes, it's fine if I continue this exercise with my falsetto?... I'll be waiting for your answer! Again, thank you very much!!!
@LuvCandiie I hear you should hear your voice in "the head" or nose.. imagine you have a "tube" going from your lungs to your mouth - the opening to the nose... no strain on the throat or vocal chords.... but that's just what I read.. don't know if it helps you :)
Wow, I got some serious nostalgia here. The first exercise my elementary school music teacher use to play- like, that exact tune. And we had to sing the same notes that you told us to hum. So that was really neat. Also, I can hit all the high notes, but the don't sound good. Will that get better with practice?
The exercise starts off slower at 1:50 and the tempo speeds up really quickly (contrast to 2:33). The starting tempo is good for a warmup -- will be much better if you stick to that.
@canadianmusician1 okay, if you are male start singing boybands. if you are female then sing girl band music, but mind you, it will more likely widen or cut some of those lower notes.
@LuvCandiie well the cheapest way to record is to get a pc mic, and use a recording program on the pc, dont ever use a webcam mic, there is no such thing as a good webcam mic (someone might proove me wrong one day, but until then i stand by my statement). just sing to something, then listen back and you will hear what you sound like. Windows has its own recorder, but you can download free sound recorders unline such as REAPER which is a sequencer.
Tis true I find its more beneficial to practice trills such as these scales fast and focus on not putting much effort into it.. I've practiced slowly and didn't see as quick of an improvement.

OMG you are amazing...i tried the whole lesson yesterday and then i tried again today, i already notice some diferences, i can reach higher notes now, in 2 days...Amazing!!!!
@FollowtheFlame just practice more, since it sounds flat, you're not exactly hitting the pitch. when you're singing maybe plug one ear, so you can hear yourself better.
This is so great, I'm really glad I found this! We used to do these warm-ups in choir and I had forgotten them so I'm happy to be reminded! With the ranges, would you suggest we TRY to go slightly out of our range? Like say for example I can go down to F then up to B flat (for example...I don't know my actual range ^^; ), would you suggest that while I do these warm ups I try to go to E natural/E flat and C? It would obviously be weak, but if I do it enough would I eventually be able to do it?
well, we all have different vocal range. If you think you can't go further, that means, you can only sing until that note. Don't force yourself if you can't sing too high or too low, it is bad for your throat(specifically the voice box/larynx) if you persist. Just a friendly advice.
Hey.. (hello Galt !!) I just wanted to update, comment on the impact of Galt's voice instruction. I started on these 4 vid's about 2 years ago after being outta the biz for a bit and after 7 or 8 months of religiously doing the video excercises, bought the CD and have been doing the CD ever since (greatest investment I ever made) every day. I am currently the lead singer and co-writer for our band Wayward Suns and we're currently recording our 10th song to complete our first CD release "8"
Thanks Saher. do these exercises work for rock as well as other genres of music? If you know much about differences between genres of music, do you know if you could please make a video that shows you how the genres are different as far as the way you sing them please?
I love how you're doing this! Some people don't realize that you CAN learn to sing. It's also great for people who can't afford professional singing lessons. You're fantastic on the piano, by the way! (: You should do a piano tutorial!
First exercise: 1:48
Second exercise: 5:01
Like this so everyone can see!
exercises start at:
1:45
4:47
You are the only one on youtube who is helping me learn to sing better, I went trough soooo many youtubers to learn singin but they don't explain as much as you do and I thank you Saher very much :)
cheers :)
@TeddyPaniza Just remain in head voice, and leave off when you run out of your range if I keep going on the piano :)
Wow, this is absolutely perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. I want to improve my singing and I appreciate how thought out this is! :) Thank you so much!
The quick tempo can be difficult for some at first, but with practice you will be able to keep up with ease. It needs to be fast to prevent you from engaging external musculature and forcing the notes.
i think you should watch the next video first because his talking about breathing on that video.. and that is the very basic thing in singing..
Hey man, I thought i could never sing like the pros and always thought that i was born with inability to sing until i purchased your download(the bundle) 3 days ago. I've been practicing twice a day for past 3 days and improved soooo much and my confidence about being a great singer has gone through the roof! it's almost 2020 and I swear most of these views are from me
@AndreSiraSebastian Cracking and straining are two signs that you're either pushing too high for yourself at the moment or attacking the notes improperly.
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!! I will follow!
this is the best video on singing lessons I found so far on youtube, a lot people just talk the whole time and no lesson, thank you very much for sharing this
Am I the only one that finds myself reading the comments while doing the exercises?
Some people don't know how to humm, the M sound is produced by the lips hik-hik-hik its a constant, all the notes are on the vowels are produced by the Resonators, but the constants are produced by the mouth, tongue, lips, teeth are very much involved in singing.
You resemble Uncle Jesse from Full House to me haha
I thought the same thing.
Few days ago I asked God to make me a better singer, and then just a few days later, I get your video in my inbox. I've been doing your exercises and have to say you are truly a blessing from God man! Im making good progress, so I thank you man! :)
I took fifteen years of voice lessons plus singing in every choir that I could. This is a great video for those who want to improve.
@Russirus If you're sick, it's a good idea to let yourself recuperate before you start up again.
so amazing! i've been wanting to practice this stuff forever after taking a few of my own voice lessons but my piano is so out of tune. this is so helpful thank you very much!
been doing these videos for like 3 weeks. Hit all the notes today with no problem. Thanks again man!

You might be burying the hum in the back of the throat? As you get higher, let the tone feel like it's rising up the front of the face instead. Sounds bizarre, but it works.
@vortexmikey Definitely exercise your head voice when it gets out of your chest range.
One of my goals in life is to sing. My father and sister sing so wonderfully and easily that I find it hard to believe that I am THAT bad... but I am really flat and cannot keep a beat... I think I could learn, so I hope that I can grasp that from your lessons. Thank you.

@1Akarikotsu It's a digital download -- you will have download instructions in your e-mail immediately :)
Jaw pain usually comes from recruiting from your throat and face muscles too heavily. Relax, don't strain- only go as high as is comfortable.

Great domain with the piano.

Thank you for going up high - it helps to open the pipes! I appreciate your sharing this with me.
Thank u so much
I've been singing for 10 months now and my vocals have really improved

Thanks for great exercise. Can you please upload exercise of mixed voice through solfege from low to high.
Thought I had one and they were bypassing it but if you are not getting them then I will have another look - thanks.
hey, no big deal, it will do the currency conversion for you on the website :)
Thank you soo much for all your videos.. I have been following your lessons regularly. They are very informative. please could you make for songs too? like how to sing a particular song plz?? Thanks Once Again. Really appreciate your Hardwork.
Good video !!!
I'm a prophesional Opera Metal singer and those videos are helping me alot for train my voice more
Hey mate great advice.

@HelloRamona You guys are sounding great! Keep rocking :]
It's really nice of to share this lesson with us for free. Thank you very much!
@SIXSTRINGER31 Instantly! You'll get a download link once you order so you can start immediately :)
I definitely agree
It's like your humming the scales or buzz, as you said. So it is open mouth then?
I actually love the sound of your piano:)
we need more people like you...i never got the chance to learn and understand something i like so much..
even though i got bret manning´s complete courses i still come here to practice with ur vid. thats how good this is!
I do this exercise already ^_^. I also do a "Bumblebee Tuna"-warmup, we do free-flow (don't know what to call it, but one person sings and we all sing around it), going up in down the scale with different vowels.
this is really good, even after 1 day i already notice my pitch is more accurate and my voice feels stronger while singing along with my music
I think you need to work on passing through your bridges.. Try the humming exercise with lip rolls.

THANKS!
on the first one i had to change from chest voice to head voice...is that intended for the excercise?
I was using this for quite some time, thanks for uploading, i can definatly hear the change in my videos.
Hello Galt! thank you for these great singing lessons! I saw your video "how to sing high notes" and I have a question for you: When I'm doing the exercises with you, there's a moment when it's hard to sing very high notes, it's fine if I continue this exercise with my falsetto?... I'll be waiting for your answer!
Again, thank you very much!!!
im going to try your lessons and tips. Ill follow up and let you know improvment. Thanks!!!
I do, yeah - see the link in the description :)

@canadianmusician1 okay, if you are male start singing boybands. if you are female then sing girl band music, but mind you, it will more likely widen or cut some of those lower notes.
i thank you i have always had a very high pitched voice and have always wanted to sing lower and i can way better than i could
@LuvCandiie well the cheapest way to record is to get a pc mic, and use a recording program on the pc, dont ever use a webcam mic, there is no such thing as a good webcam mic (someone might proove me wrong one day, but until then i stand by my statement). just sing to something, then listen back and you will hear what you sound like. Windows has its own recorder, but you can download free sound recorders unline such as REAPER which is a sequencer.
Tis true I find its more beneficial to practice trills such as these scales fast and focus on not putting much effort into it.. I've practiced slowly and didn't see as quick of an improvement.
Seriously lol your the best. Thank you for sending me that link... I'm watching you and some other user name aussie singing lessons. Your both great, I enjoy the fact that you go fast and have different singing exercise patterns than our everyday school choir has. You've got yourself a new subscriber.. =]
Do you give real private singing lessons and live in New York by any chance ?
You have a really lovely voice
When you first start off singing your going to have a very limited range it takes time to expand by building support and doing these exercises its fine if you get stuck on a higher pitch... because your a girl that might be natural for you to sing in head however as you go lower you start going down to chest voice (which is everybody's normal speaking voice). Just do what's comfortable for you now and don't push or strain and you will develop more range naturally.
thank you, your excersises really help!!! In one month I'm much more in control of my voice then ever before...
shortcut 4 excercises:
humming: 1:57
aaaa: 5:01
I want to buy the $5 vocal training is it still available? Also i wanted to know if it includes exercises from your videos "singing lessons 1-4" cause i really love the ones you do on these videos?!
@KoKyyee
the second exercise sure is hell isn't at 2:50. try 5:00
Could be some day some videos with the english captions? Thanks
i love your videos and approach but is there a reason for going so fast? what benefit will we get from it ......thanks
I was wondering if you might directed me to how you play the fingering for this exercise on piano God Bless
This is so great, I'm really glad I found this! We used to do these warm-ups in choir and I had forgotten them so I'm happy to be reminded!

Is there any clear sign that you're exceeding your register?
thx for the video. im a beginner and i cant seem to figure out how to sing from the diaphram and not the throat
