Not entirely true, as long as judge caught u sliding, ur in a "dispute for penalty" and that's eligible for framecounting. Also I think even if u PR and as long as that PR is not in the top 50 ur not gonna be framecounted as well. Also, even if u met the criteria, it doesn't necessarily mean u will be checked, they will only check if they have "strong degree of confidence" that ur timer start is illegal But I get where ur coming from, the unfairness could be like a world class solver got a 1.33 with slide in finals, and u got a 1.31 PR with slide in finals, his 1.33 cannot be checked (unless there is dispute for penalty) while ur 1.31 could get checked EVEN if there is no dispute for penalty. And then upon checking, u will lose ur gold becoz u got penalised while the 1.33 would get away from it
02:27 what’s stopping you is a judge catching you in real time. It’s still illegal (always has been) to touch the cube while starting the timer, and not starting the timer with your fingers, no matter where you rank. Important to remember that sliding is and always has been a combo of breaking those two regs.
the thing is (like you said) the judge is unlikely to catch it in real time yeah? I just don’t understand how this prevents cheaters without going further in allowing frame by frame in more cases than specified yeah?
i think they intended that if you have slide and don't break ur pr then sliding doesn't make you faster. but i agree that if you slide in a smaller championship and win that's not fair

yeah i see the intent and its good but i think we need more flexibility with frame by frame use
