A marathon of games! Let me know what you think of the game selections and, of course, how you fared on them. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
OK, I looked this up. Perfect martinis are a 50/50 mix of gin and vermouth. Dry martinis have less vermouth, wet martinis have more. A dirty martini has olive brine added.
Brilliant Wordle! Five for me: AROSE, THING, CLUMP, BAWDY, KNACK. Wow! Perfect reverse Connections. I got only the two easy groups. I was thinking ... LAUNDRY, ... OIL or ... VACUUM but nope. RIP. Superb Tuesday Mini! Exactly one minute for me. Excellent custom! I think you can earn money for your school by collecting cereal box tops. I don't know exactly how it works; I have no kids. I saw 3 classic ensembles, 2 slips but also 2 words that were completely foreign to me and quickly deteremined that this was way above my pay grade. Excquisite Strands! I didn't understand the theme and needed hints to figure it out. After that, all the words were easy. Mandatory trivia quiz: what is the world's largest even-toed hoofed mammal? The blue whale of course. Great Zorsly! Great Hang Five. Three wrong consonants for me. Ultimate Word Grid! You found the winning strategy: be the first one in the world to play and get 9 unicorns. I have tried it a couple of times but someone always beat me to one of my words and I scored a devastating 50% on it. I didn't know yet that I could have changed my guess. I have succeeded a couple of times in GeoGrid. That game is not updated in real time; if multiple players load the app before any games have been completed, they can all score 0.00% even with the most obvious answers. But you have to know geography trivia. Perfect Stacked! I think I saw this on SolverTom's stream last night so I can no longer solve it solo. Great Word Salad! I missed this one. Fine Letter Loop. I didn't pre-play this but saw he solution at about 1:40 while you were playing. Thank you for playing Xordle today so I can boast of my result: I aced this in easy mode. Granted, this was an easy one and we just had holey foods in Strands yesterday. Very good Cladder!
Oranje, beautiful solve. I was rooting for you!! Art inspired the things on/in rolls category. Great job picking up on the slips. I meant to use permission instead of banana in the final version. 🙃 Guess I posted the penultimate version. My prediction was you were going to get purple by default, but I included Greenies and Sheba because they are for dogs, too. Fantastic for picking it out I visit Furball Farms Cat Sanctuary a lot. They get Churu and Tempations by the truckload. While visiting and watching snack time for 350+ cats, the Tempations misdirect just jumped at me. Awesome job!!
You and Art are amazing with Connections, Adam. I can relate better with players having average skills in this game. Doug and I were not successful today in Connections. I was proud of myself for getting perfect on the strands puzzle. But after your comments when you did the puzzle i no longer feel like it was a big deal. LOL
It was more of an observation than a critical statement of anyone’s performance. Maybe their number of players are down on Strands because they were making it too devious. I know at least three TH-camrs who dropped the game from their repertoire completely.
@@ADailySliceOfOranje i am not very good at strands but I play it daily. I'm not afraid of using hints to get the solve going. I hope the TH-cam guys that dropped strands would give it a try again in the future. I recall the since of frustration that they were going through at one point or another.
