Bad...its home for pickpoketing 'be on a watch out" The good is the thriving in business, taxis departs and arrives from different parts of the city and the neighbouring cities and townships.This is a place to be. Very fresh Fruits and veg are sold here, street food is cowhead, liver. all inside meat of a cow is sold here. Very tasty.U should try it.Noord mtn rank is one of the top rated place listed as Taxi service in Johannesburg. Disapointed by some dirty areas around here

Its not everything that we think or hear happens all time, johannesburg can be very peacefull when it chooses to, i love this area, i feel good here, though some hickups.One needs to be always on alert for pickpoketing,other than that all is good.Enjoy your visit

I used to walk this path for years. From my university years. When you walk here, you must walk fast. If you look like you are not sure where your going, you will get mug very easy. You must learn to blend in fast and be very vigilant

The streets here are very filthy. The business community around there needs hire workers to help clean the streets and keep it, clean. If they want to keep their city beautiful and also if they want tourists to feel safe.

I worked in Jhb Town centre in 1995. Every afternoon, on my way to the bus station, I used to walk past a street hawker selling rat poison. He used to shout out repeatedly, "Food for the rats, chalk for the kokorot".. he used to make me laugh. I wonder if he still there.
