My grandparents used to live at Little Bytham, most Sundays my grandfather would take me down to the road bridge and watch the trains. What lovely memories.

It’s so lovely to see old school with no fake sound or smoke generators, reminds me of many happy days getting on my bike in the seventies and riding down to Dawlish Warren station to see the beautiful model railway built by two brothers and buy a bit of track from their shop!

My grandfather was the signalman at Bytham at this time. Great to see such an amazing model.

This is so awesome, when I was four or five I moved into the little black bungalow on the Witham rd. then when I was ten we moved into the Station Masters house, after a few years British Rail sold the house and my Dad bought it. I lived there until I got married and moved to Stamford. I now live in the USA and I can't tell you how many fantastic memories this reminds me of. I spent many happy hours in the signal box chatting to the signalmen during my teenage years, probably against the rules but oh well, lol. Thank very much for uploading these videos, you've made one guy here very happy

Excellent! Just great to watch the trains go by, no commentary or subtitles required.

A remarkably built clean and open railway designed for big locos and prototype length trains. Convincing scenic exits, ground signals correctly placed and simple backscenes that compliment the quality of the build. A very great joy to watch in these difficult days. No doubt much more fun to operate !

Very nice layout and your video is wonderful! I like the low angles, long scenes and long trains. Just a joy to watch! I kind of missed your excellent narration from another of your videos. Likely one of the best layout videos I’ve seen on either side of the pond!

Where's the 490 million adverts that are usually put on You Tube videos by creators for doing nothing! The years that have gone into this is just Amazing, it feels like a real place to visit, I would love to see some 80's diesels on it too!

Hooo boy, that Midland Fowler sounded pretty poorly.

David, the camera microphone is so close to the locomotives that it's very sensitive to sound. I can assure you Tony's locomotives run superbly.

@@DoctorTankEngine Ah well, that makes sense then; in that case, that Claud Hamilton must be a right little gem then- I could barely hear it as it went past.

What's not to love about steam engines?

Lovely set-up, but some of the locos seem to have been powered by Maybach Zeppelin engines....lol

The camera microphone is very sensitive when the locomotives pass by. These locos are kit built by possibly the finest builder of model locomotives in the UK.
