Awesome, I spent most of this video laughing my head off 👍👍👍👍

Thanks for doing that, saves me testing it myself, and now I know what to expect 😁 I sort of thought the 'boogie-board' floor would help with buoyancy. Another good video, Karlos. 👍🏻

You still need quite good balance on it but yes, it's good to know 👍😁

It's on my to-test list... I suspect a similar situation to the Pea Pod in all honesty :)

You never fail to educate or entertain, Karl, all the best! I was going to get an inflatable kayak, Karl, but no way as I'm a big feartie (scared stiff) lol 🤢

I was kinda hoping these videos would dispel fears :(

@@MoreThanJustaCleaner I'll still have a go at it, Karl, there's a big pond not far away and will get a swim vest lol built a raft a few years ago .

You should do these tests in the middle of the Bristol channel for an added edge of peril.

Hi, love your videos. Just wondering what length paddle you would recommend for the Spinera SK10? Cheers

      Personally I prefer a 240 to 250cm paddle. I'm glad you're enjoying what I'm doing, cheers 👍😁

Quite interesting! As noted before, useful to see these tests. While in my channel, Air On The Water, I share adventures with inflatable kayaks and SUPs, in these videos, you instead make yourself the enemy of air on the water 😁... at least some of it 😎 Valuable to know what would happen in these cases. I do a lot of "stress tests" of my kayak, but these kind of tests I leave to you and follow on TH-cam from the comfort of my sofa! 🙂

I think a lot of people would rather I do these tests than themselves 😁
To be honest, it's all good experience.

@@MoreThanJustaCleaner Yep! I've done quite a few "when things go wrong tests", sometimes with wetsuit or drysuit, but that's mostly focused on rescues and other issues. The letting out air and simulating a partial failure is a clever take. I did it for real this summer when I accidentally hit an underwater rock.. but had rather slow water ingress from a tear, no air tube failure.

That was fortunate - did you have a bilge pump? :p

@@MoreThanJustaCleaner Fortunately yes (usually carry it for safety. This video actually shows me emptying water from that kayak after water broke through my emergency repair with duct tape (which held for about 30 minutes): th-cam.com/video/-z_h6ShvsHU/w-d-xo.html

    • @AirOnTheWater

@@MoreThanJustaCleaner I did, fortunately - I just sent you a comment with a video showing the actual kayak in question (you might need to approve it in TH-cam Studio for the comment to show as there's a link to the video). With the bilge pump, I was ok to continue so long as I emptied out some water every 10-15 minutes or so.

@@MoreThanJustaCleaner I have discovered you can easily clime back on to a upside down go plus and stand on it and jump on to bank. The underneath is like standing on a paddle board
