So true, a multidisciplinary team is key. Unfortunately, many hospital structures do not have them or work in silos.

No not always, sometimes it can be a case if a more simple operation for instance just to correct positioning, but most of us with IA need the three initial ops (or 5 in my case). Note though that for many of us older IA patients, we are never “fixed”. I went back to a stoma in my 50s and wish I’d just been left with it all the way through.

If tolerated, yogurt, beets and tomatoes are good additions to the diet.
It's also important to help your child develop emergency strategies in case he sopils himself at school or otherwise. Setting up a spare change of clothes with the school nurse (if they have one) or some favorite teacher, is important. The worst situation to be in is having soiled yourself and being stuck in the school washroom with no way to properly clean yourself or solve the problem. Prepare ahead. Make a game plan. Your child may not think of approaching school personnel for this kind of assistance, but the school should be willing to offer this assist - DO involve your child in the decision of WHO to approach though.

After 3 days of birth the 1 operation done and now he is 8month his 2nd operation will be done in few days and 3operation will be done after all the stitch of 2nd operation should get dry and also baby health should get complete cure then so 3operation will be done after some months from the date of 2nd operation..
Note- In between this following operations the baby weight has to be good, there should be no infection in blood and urine and the Dr will also check his/her heartbeat and xray will also be removed..
This is not a speed process of operation so be calm and
Better show in best Govt hospital don't go for private hospitals as in between there are many checkups and intense cleaning process too in private hospitals they will charge u more for the whole process of operation...
And in between if the private hospitals may raise their hands and send u in govt hospital for whole treatment so better go first to Govt hospital..
This type of many baby born in now days so no need to tension and stress please Take care of your baby and pray to God..
God created the baby so he will definitely help to come out of this...

He was born with a high ARM. Had colostomy, then abdominoperineal pull-through within 6 months, and then colostomy closure. Unfortunately, after colostomy closure, he developed colocutaneous fistula within a month of closure. Colocutaneous fistula is one of the postop complications of colostomy repair. Now he is due for another surgery to close his fistula. He is also diagnosed with spina bifida due to which he is unable to completely empty his bladder and we are doing intermittent catheterization to keep his bladder empty. He is suffering from constipation and stool incontinence too. Other than this, he is absolutely fine and a very loving kid. Do you know someone who is suffering from such a condition?
