It'd help if you guys put in the description or in a comment the links to all these videos to check what other things these guys have done, yeah we have the names but it's more difficult to find them that way. The only one that I didn't like that much was #1 to me what he's playing sounds like Doom Eternal Cover, tone is good but there were better riffs among the other winners.

I’m surprised to see this selection. Where is the dude who makes all the weird faces and totally kicked ass? Iron Maiden riff guy (I watched his entry like 30 times), The techno dude who has like 4k views, etc.
Congrats to all winners, but, to be honest, Ivan's riff was not one of the grooviest/heaviest, as described by Dino. There were several entries with similar riffs that sound way heavier/groovier.

some of my favourite entries didn't even make the top 5, I guess Dino wasn't necessarily looking for the most technical riffs but was mostly looking for the riffs he personally liked the most.
maybe just the taste of the jury sucks. I find these riffs pretty monotonous. You might have done better with a different jury. You just have to find the right jury and then you will do better.
It's better to do it because you want to do it, just for fun, you won't be disappointed that way if you don't win. Don't force yourself, I did mine in a day and that was all the time I said to myself that I was gonna spent on this, no regrets. On a side note, it's pretty hard to tell what they want from you, sometimes it's not even about effort lol

Honestly, I'd score these in reverse. Fifth place I personally liked the best, but Dino is right. The winner has that live set groove goin for sure.
