If I remember right you were skeptical about all the hype about Dimash before you heard his first song...I love to see as you have become Dimashified like the rest of his Dears!! I love your comment about once believing that English is the best language for singing and now believing that the language doesn't matter. That has also happened for me. I do love the English language and because my wife is Hispanic, I have come to love singing in Spanish. But, I've heard Dimash sing in Russian, French, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, English, and Kazakh, and it is all beautiful. I heard Dimash in an interview address this very topic. He said that music itself is a universal language. His performance of the song "Know" as "Know Vocalize" without using the lyrics truly proves that to be true.

Dimash has been a life changing experience... I have never been moved this way by any other artist. I only speak English but I have found it very liberating to listen to him sing in many other languages... what he makes me Feel, is what is important, the lyrics are secondary and I like not being influenced by the lyrics in the way I interpret and feel what he sings. Hello, I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

Love your reaction. You did not need to describe what a sinful passion is. I feel it every time I listen to Dimash. First time I heard Dimash it was about 6 months ago and it was SOS in the Chinese competition. He did not just made me cry, but had me literally sobbing through the last part of the song. I fully agree, you don't need the lyrics at all.

Live concert of DIMASH performing many of his songs is a memorable experience he adds so much unexpected things it makes your brain hurt. When you think you know what he is going to do; you don't. He goes on and on in concert, I have never seen anyone that can perform full-out as long as he does, it doesn't seem humanly possible, but he does it.
He’s incredible live in concert. We saw him in New York December 2019 and hope to see again.

It is true...I do not understand a word he sings but I can feel every emotion. He performs the songs so masterfully that the whole story unfolds in your imagination. I have always said that words so often lie but good music NEVER lie. Good music does not need any words at all. By the way I prefer it when Dimash sing in any eastern language....what and who he is sets him apart from the mainstream western music that so often bores me endlessly.

I usually listen to Dimash the first time without lyrics. I feel it. I will usually watch it later with lyrics, just to confirm my feelings. Sinful Passion is a very powerful and emotive piece. The “daj mnie” is so soulful, I have teared up many times during this song. The lament in honour of the late singer catches everyone off guard the first time. Every piece that Dimash sings presents something new and fresh. Enjoyed your reaction.

Loved your sincere reaction and your thoughts about Dimash being music therapy. In fact, many people have said that Dimash has cured their depression and other illnesses. Every song by Dimash is unique. Just when you think, what more can he do, he again blows you away. You will love “Love is Like a Dream”, Know/Vocalize” (same song but in the second one, he doesn’t use any lyrics...just stunning). Also “Samaltau”, “Kieli Meken”, “Passione....and too many more to list! He also has a new song “Be With Me” coming out on digital platforms on April 2. It is dynamite....an incredible mix of vocal techniques and genres. You won’t want to miss it. It was premiered during his online digital show in January.

Dimash says Music is its own language. Many of us feel exactly the same, he sings deep into our souls . Translations are not needed as he transmits the story right to you, you see it, feel it, hearing him sing brings our emotions out and crying is our only release. He is without doubt a genius magician who casts his spell on us and we cannot escape. It's beautiful and yes you are right it is music therapy. The video did cut off a little early but you got the sing in its entirety you just missed the last few notes. That last crazy run was 24 seconds long, and the agility was incredible. Yes Dimash will leave you speechless. Я слушаю Димаша почти ЕЖЕДНЕВНО с 21 января 2017 года и уже давно считаю его не певцом , а пока непознанным ЯВЛЕНИЕМ в мире музыки . Димаш таинственным образом переводит слова текста песни на язык вокала и слушателям на всех языках ( проверено !) становится понятен этот текст . С умилением наблюдал как молоденькие китаяночки не скрывали слёз , слушая " Маххабат бер маган " на казахском языке !!! Впервые я услышал в его исполнении " Daybreak " в 2017 году и даже совершенно не зная фабулы текста песни плакал и хватался за сердце , но удивительно и то , что при сотнях более поздних прослушиваний этой композиции моя эмоциональная реакция совершенно не отличалась от первой , а это уже чудо ! О музыкальной терапии вокала Димаша говорят комментаторы на разных языках , к нему в Казахстан приезжала пожилая леди чтобы поблагодарить Димаша за то , что прослушивание его вокала помогло ей избавиться от рака .
