TC true cylinder = no constriction. SK skeet, Beretta at some stage started bell-mouthing their SK chokes, the idea being that the wad would begin to open before it left the bore and therefore gave a wider spread at the close distances that skeet is normally shot at plus the wad and shot would separate earlier and give a more even pattern. BTW, that ASE will have leaf springs in the action, best not to leave it cocked for any length of time after use.
@@rogerpace9322 true mate, think it was just too much gun for me 6 months into shooting. Was like giving a learner a Lamborghini. So much I could tell you, your more than welcome to use it for a review anytime.
Lovely shotgun they came with cleaning rods and tool kit spare v springs for the trigger group which removes from the action very easily that sound on closing gently brings back memories 👍
Gary...it didn't come with any of those things... To make things worse the lug that the fore end attaches to has just broken off. Sending it to Beretta to be silver soldered. At the moment I have two dead guns. Things can only get better. Stay well and all the best for 2021!!!
never sell it ;-) glad your pleased with your new gun look forward to video about how it shoots, and handles and how you like it and how it compares to your 690 and how you get on with shooting more open chokes. I love my DT10 for sporting. Happy new year to you.
Ollie...I actually wanted a DT10 but then the opportunity came up with the ASE and so I went with it...they tell me that the DT10's are better than theDT11's ...glad you're happy with yours... stay well and happy new year!!!
Love ur education and knowledge on guns Roger its fantastic.. Love to hear ur opinion on the new beretta silver pigeon 3 field? Happy new year from Ireland. Regards Noel

Hi Roger, I had a good deal yesterday, ASE gold as new.20 year old but barely used 30 inch multi choke barrels. All the bits and cased.£2200 or 3900 aus dollers. Havent shot it yet but seems to fit fine. Hopefully give it a go tomorrow. I wanted A mx2000s , but I recon this is pretty close for a quarter of the money. Chuffed to bits so far.
Graham ...you will be very happy with the ASE Gold...it is a very quick gun and beautifully balanced...you really did get a good deal...in Australia you cannot buy one under $8000 Aus Dollars...I presume you are in the UK ...stay well !!!
@@rogerpace9322 Hi Roger, Finally got my licence back with ASE added. It has got the Antonit barrels as you say and seems in perfect condition. Will give it a go Saturday/Sunday.Shot 98 ex 100 and 49 x 50 at skeet with my Guerini last week, so its gonna have big boots tp fill. Cheers Graham.
Have you shot a Dt11? Im wondering how it compares to the ASE in recoil? There's a 2nd ase for sale locally ($6500), im hoping to try a Dt11 soon. Tried a krieghoff k80 but wasn't a fan of the rib, high or ramped ribs always make me wonder where i should be shooting. I know id need to learn a new technique with them. Ps. A new k80 is just affordable.

hello I am owner of ASE gold, maybe I shot 1 million cartridges, never a problem, if not the maintenance those inevitable, from 1995 (year of production) to today like new, even its case not like your, still in perfect condition, it is probable that those who used the rifle did not hold the object well .. if one thing I understood from this rifle is that, it is a difficult rifles, because it does not allow errors.. how to say, some other rifles can "help you" and break 1 or 2 targets more, but be careful you have done a wrong shot, with my Ase there is no lucky shot, or perfect or zero. Tool are inside in my case, screwdrivers and allen key for the rifle butt. Proably yours gun shooted 50/100.000 shots, the barrels are still in perfect conditions. Usually I shoots olimpic trap, and can not help you for the chokes.Trigger system is very easy to remove, and clean, also if you wanna set a heavier or lighter pull from finger is only a screw to touch. In europe an good ASE is selled about 4000 euro. At the time, cold hammered boehler barrels were advertised by beretta and I have no reason not to believe Beretta. Beretta is a super brand. True in that time CNC was not spread like tooday and only master master master gunsmiths done ASE. The close look system was and still is fantastic, even today when I close it, its sharp and loud noise makes the clays involuntarily start, and it always amazes me, I suggest you to disarm the gun by snap cap by Beretta, are fantastics. Those who have do not sell it easily, happy for u, keep it well and shoot like there is not a tomorrow... this is truly a master piece. Alex
