@@pvnkcloudxx go to isle of dawn first portal then light all white candles when walking to the cave of white candles, there's a cliff in the end of the cave of white candles, right? jump off the cliff & you will land safely if you are cape less, & if you look in a close distance while standing on the cliff, you will see a yellow shining symbol, & if you land safely & go closer to it, you will see a handsome shiny white looking boy, & if you collect him, he will give you a cape that has a pattern of stars after tapping the white water drop icon, then when you look under your white water droplet, you will see your cape energy, & when you want to fly, press the star icon, & if you go to a spirit gate that is in the brown stone stairs & light it, it says "you need spirits for this." the cyan & every single colored spirits appear in all realms.
5:34 here’s the thing tho. Echolocation does work in sky. U can use a deep honk like sonar in dark places. It especially useful in trial of fire. When u deep honk in dark places objects become outlined. For instance, if u were to do it in fire trial u could see walls and the outline of smoky krill.

There is also one minor detail I noticed. I don't know if it's still in the game or not but if you use headphones and stand still, you can hear the heartbeat of your skykid. It becomes more clear when we turn off music and keep the sound full.

the amount of small details still fascinates me to this day! TGC does put a lot of work and effort into this small game and we just keep finding the small things that keep it feel nice to explore

I have a theory to add:
When your sky kid is recharging and the light passes through their cape, a feather pattern appears, this lead me to believe that skykids are closely related to or resemble birds! What supports it is that skykids glow and recharge from eachother just like birds!
Another detail i like is that when your skykid walks through grass or flowers, they light up around their feet

I believe that there was a Elder in Eden but he somehow disappeared or something also I believe that Eden used to be the capital city of the Sky kingdom.
I've read a few comments somewhere in either the Sky group in FB or their official discord server that the "Eden king" was a benevolent ruler, but got corrupted hence the red rocks and PNR existed.
Idk why TGc scrapped this idea out but I hope they bring it back.

The bell you hear when you are about to be reborn is the same you hear at Isle temple. You start and "end" your journey hearing the same sound

About the chibi mask blinking, it made me have a theory about their eyes. According to a friend of mine who played the game when it was newer, all masks blinked, but because of lag they reduced that to chibis only. The reaching out to touch things and echo locations make sense, but my theory is that, seeing as the skykid is a vessel with a fraction of a star inside them (the glow on their chest), their eyes, being openings to their inside, let out an incredibly bright glow which literally shines with the power of a star. So, to avoid discomfort for their surroundings/other people, creatures, etc, they close their eyes when they don’t have a mask. I think masks filter their eye-light sort of, so it doesn’t shine as brightly and blind others 😂. But the blind thing makes sense, although it makes me feel a bit funny… idk :/
Yeah, that theory also makes me feel a bit funny for some reason. I really like this one that you proposed! It makes just as much sense as the blind theory!

I'm sorta late to this, but I noticed when you play eden and start losing light the bottom of Sky Kid's Cape gets torn. Not entirely sure if it's just in Eden though, it's only when I noticed when playing there.

Yeah, I think the torn cape is unique to only Eden, the rest make the cape go white and eventually disappear. 🤗❤️

Also quickly with the echolocation part is an interesting theory, although Sky Kid's definitely can at least see because when you do the trails and when use the Statue around the end of the trails to gain this light power to overcome the trail, [I'm not good at describing things well ahh] Sky Kid does actually look at their arms that's got asorbed in bright light. They also look directly face to face with ancestor spirits as well as other Sky kid's from different sizes, and especially in Elder Cutscenes you can see them directly looking at the Elders, Valley and forest elder cutscnes are an great example of that! They also can copy an emote from an ancestor spirit, because they would've have to see what the ancestor spirit dose to copy their emote/action. There's also the last cutscnene with The Little Prince quest where your Sky Kid will looks up at the stars. Lastly another where if you play hide in seek Sky Kids do cover their eyes, so they don't see where the other Sky Kid's go off to hide.
So yeah, I do believe they can see, i must've missed or forgotten few other examples, although Sky Kid's not seeing very well is still interesting, still an fantastic video though, keep up the great work! ;0

@@ValForestGramps I definitely think Sky kids having a poor sighting is more believeable and seems more realistic reason considering there's too many example of them showing at least of them seeing things the examples I gave, obviously them feeling the walls/objects close to them as well as call showsthey require sound/echolocation, so overall it's actually a mixture between the two of them being able to see, but having poor sighting, while also having some kind of echolocation to help them due to their poor sighting! Obviously that's what I think since it makes more sense to me lol :))
yess your theory makes a lot of sense!! i also feel like the sky kids can see with poor vision but while they’re exploring, using echolocation helps them to get back on track and guide them on where to go
Me and my friend came uo with theory today while cr wastland. You know how there are tubes only in wastland and dark water, we thought what if the spirits where actually looking for another source of power like oil or dark light? There are locked doors once u enter the wastland temple so maybe there are machines or artifacts But as they where doing it, it attracted dark creatures, and to be able to stop the dark creatures to keep expanding around the realms they created the Eden portal.
oh that makes sense! so all of that dark creatures are going to the eden instead to the another realm! :o
yeah a lot of people in the Chinese sky community hc that the story is about the rise and fall of humanity. It's really complex and people have written so much more about it but basically: humanity's first origins (isle), developing technology (prairie & forest) and being devastated by war (wasteland). Then devoting themselves to knowledge in the information age (vault) and finally the destruction of everything through fossil fuels and pollution (eden). and the circular structure of the game being that humanity will always repeat its own mistakes. The complexity of buildings increases as you go through realms as well suggesting progression through history so honestly it's a pretty terrifying theory

In the Valley Citadel, your energy refills slowly without even being in a source of light! This has a meaning in lore; the Gyroscopes. Those seem to be an ancient source of power!
I'm in love with the idea of the candle coming from within the Sky kids! When the gem in their chest turns into the flame when pulling out their candle, it's like they're offering their heart to another player when wanting to light them!
at the cutscene while meditating at the vault alter, it showcases all of the different realms in constellations, including the elders of those constellations. but when it shows eden, it shows a giant woman, indicating that might be some form of eden elder or something, and she looks very similar to the bell at the top of the eden portal

The echolocation theory is kind of headcannon to me too, but personally I'd think that honking is actually a form of communication as what TGC brought from the previous games such as Journey, as we can't automatically chat someone in the game too. So...

Interesting. So much hidden lore.
I used to think Chibi were young version of Sky beings, but what if they are “young and small and don’t keep their eyes open all the time” because they represent humans while the “Skykids” are advanced spiritual beings that rank between the Elders (aka Gods) and the humans… like angels.
The Eden Gate/Door is also the culmination and end of everything we have learned and gathered in all the other realms. Where all our gathered stars end up and from where all the statue kids came from. It requires power from all the other realms. It has parts of all the other gates/elders but also the bells from the holy places. It is as far as I can tell the only holy bells that ring by themselves, giving it eve more power and prestige over anywhere else in the land. That makes sense considering our greatest act of service/worship/giving takes place here. Whether it was good but turned bad, or whether it always was a dark and scary place because death always seems that way to the uninitiated who don’t remember they have been through it before says more about us than the place. Once you have navigated and mastered death perhaps it’s quite a beautiful place that looks exactly how it ought to look. If death was easy and friendly looking there would be no ability to make a sacrifice and no need to give/share our resources, and no fear or darkness to make the rest of our experience seem so beautiful in comparison. Would we invest so much time and effort if the game ended at the end of the Vault with a large chat table where we just had a seat, shared a feast, and then hit a button to “Replay Sky from the beginning?” I don’t think so.

Sometimes I think we skykids only focuse on candle running that we tend to overlook all these minor details in the game, im just shocked by the candle light one, makes sense since skykids are 'children of the light' hehe thats so cool!

Just wanna add this but when you're with your friends or socializing with a group of people your sky kid will look at the certain sky kid if you move the camera (dunno how to explain it well) but if you wanna look to a certain someone even tho they're far away just press their sky kid and your sky kid will eventually tilt it's head to its direction
For the portal ambiance thing it’s the same with the portal to the office, it’s cool bc you can hear office sounds like people talking and such
Isle's portal in home space rings its bell each hour! You could say it's kinda like a grandfather clock ;]
10 months ago, me and my friend were hanging out. when she used the lie down emote for awhile, we heard snoring coming from her skykid. im still not quite sure if its lie down emote
in case you want to make another episode of this:
the tiny sound details are one of my favourites.
like if there's a winged light nearby, you can hear it "sing". a very subtle, high pitched but relaxing sound. as you get closer it gets louder.
also in the boneyard area hidden forest, right next to the cave of the crying spirit there are some broken pots. if you stand close you can hear the rain hitting the ceramic pots making a tiny sound. it's very very subtle.
this one is very mysterious. in prairie's temple, there's a big claw mark on one of the pots near the altar. I always wonder what creature did it...
4:20 Oh hey it me XD I always thought my theory was really weird, so I am glad I am not the only one who thinks about this. Maybe I was projecting a bit though, since my eyes are REALLY bad and so I immediately noticed the sky kids touching obstacles in their surroundings.
Actually I have a headcanon, I think Eden was supposed to be some sort of a sanctuary/ castle thing but it corrupted, affecting everyone else which is why all npcs are spirits and so it had to be closed off until you passed all the stages and the Elders knew youre ready to save everyone and sacrifice yourself
Which already quite confirmed during the season of revival

My theory with Eden and its elder.
All of the elders are friends, they share the realms, but theres this one 'elder' who doesn't have his own realm. the elders decided to make one for it but it went drastically wrong. while most of the realms have protection against krills(which were accidentally created in wasteland), they didnt give eden protection against it because they forgot. the krills invaded eden and the eden elder tried his best to protect it, but was injured, and had to retreat, leading eden to be what it is now. the afterlife is the elder's safe spot, aka where he retreated. the eden elder hides away because he doesn't want to show the scars he got from the attack, and all of the elders forgot about him.
the vault elder does have some recognition of him, because of the last constellation shown in the vault elder cutscene.

also, the elders dont stop the skykid because they hope the skykid will bring back the truth to the mystery of what happened to eden(its been so long they've forgotten), but the skykid usually has nothing to say because of the elder's absence, aka why the cutscenes/lore doesnt change much at all
im still theorizing on why seasonal spirits only show up after doing eden
edit 2: i may add my theorizing with skykid anatomy/candle spot on the chest once ive theorized on that more!

sky is really mysterious and TGC also didn't reveal the full backstory, i wonder what it is.. 4:22 really got me thinking and really want to know what the backstory is, even the one in 6:06 has anyone else been thinking about this too?
Nothin much but i've heard of a hypothesis from Sky Bar group on facebook that said sky children actually have memories lost. Each new seasons is a piece of memory that come back to the skykids. That also explain why after goin to eden you'll have another new life without loosing memories, because you're the ones who keep memories of the ancestors - whom others have forgot - as spirits. After the invasion of krills (from another hypothesis) which destroyed series of constructions and killed lots of people, they can not recover the loss nor handle the attack so decided to separate the Golden wasteland to protect the other parts (you can see the enter of the Hidden forest's end is very similar to one in the battlefield). They also did the same with many places then set guardians (elders) to keep those places save, which is the reason why Valley - the place between GW and HF - has 2 elders. There are many things that we haven't known about, yet we are recovering little by little. Wonder what will happen when we fulfilled all the memories of all the spirits?
Maybe someone also wrote comment about it, but the most powerful honk can help you find (i can't name it "see") something in the darkness. I've noticed this in my first try to go through the trial of fire. I've seen that dark creatures and it helps me sometimes

About the blind theory: this could be true and makes much sense.
But In my crazy mind, skykids cant open the eyes because of its light powers. Its like Scott of X-man, if he open the eyes without it glasses he'll release that powerful laser. Now imagine the sky kid opening its eyes without a mask, thet wold shine vary brightly that would make the krills scares to death :v
Of course this is not true, its just me thinking with my insomnia XD
The butterflies in butterfly nest in isle dance when you use Boogje Kid's emote and when you play music
The wasteland elder's shrine has cracks on it, indicating that maybe they were injured in the war
The little flowers in the 8 player puzzle and in the starlight desert open when you walk near them

About the Eden :on the one of the creators of the game website, I found an official plot timeline. There was a corrupted king, who was kinda an Elder of the Eden, and a leader of whole Sky Kingdom. Because they went corrupted, rest of the Elders captured them in the Storm(Eden) and created the magic portal, so they cannot escape.
I know I’m a bit late but if you stand next to anything that recharges you there are little flecks of fire going between you and whatever the other thing is. E.g. you’re recharging at a fire sparks will go from the fire towards you. As soon as you’re fully recharged this stops. If you’re standing next to a friend to recharge then the same flecks will travel from them to you, same if the roles are reversed. If you’re both recharging each other the flecks will go both ways. I find this very interesting. These sparks of flame seem to be what recharges us. This energy is constantly being transferred in sky. And when you flap little flecks like the recharging flecks come off your cape like you’re casting them away, they rejoin the cycle. Also noted is that when you’re standing in dark water little strange coloured stuff seems to come off you. Like the darkness is corrupting the energy inside you and stealing it away. Nice video by the way!
If you walks across ANY wardrobe, the camera moves a lot. It can even go almost 360 degrees around you skykid. I’ve tried with other walls and it doesn’t work on them. So now I never turn my camera when walking by wardrobes.

Actualy, the wasteland elder is not mentioned on the eden portal. I think that he mith me the eden king who did something and then retiered in wasteland that wasn't suposed to exist:
this constelation have similarities with eden, the elder mith have wanted to get the darkness out of there and accidently created wasteland. Darkness, too invasive, took the eden kingdom over, creating the probable apocalypse that whiped out all light and life of the sky's world. Few remaining people decided to create memories about the ancien world (spirits) for the children of the light to show them what hapened and let them know their duty. Back on wasteland: the many buildings that are present might be from eden, they (somehow) landed alost intact and created the ruins. Also, the battlefield was where remaining soliders tryed to fight darkness but probably failed, among them: the wasteland elder. I am surely wrong about a lot in here but that is what i think may have hapened.

No the wasteland elder is not the elder of Eden, Eden used to have a different elder and he was the king of the entire kingdom of sky he used to wear a mask that resembles A Star, later the Eden elder got corrupted by darkness and he brings chaos to his entire kingdom.

Another detail I noticed today: when you listen to music with Spotify, iTunes or something while playing sky, your sky kid will wear headphones- it’s pretty cool you should try it-
Sadly this only works on apple devices, not on adroid :( for some reason TGC never got that to work on android. I think it's because originally Sky was programmed for apple devices and the android version is a port of that.
Also, the headphones take over the head accessory slot so you can't wear them together with horns, flowers etc

there are some details that are already known for players who’ve played the game for a long time, other details were from recent updates and some probably haven’t been heard before.
As interesting and nice to see players discovering these little details, This video doesn’t show much secrets in the game some are already noticeable though but this seems to be more helpful for new players/moth kids to find!

1-Depending on the time you connect to play, the initial song of the game is different, is more animic at the day calm in early morning and night.

I actually wonder at the top of eden, exiting to the kingdom of light, there are seats of each elders, but those seats are so big some of the elders look small made me think there must be a higher spirit before the elders
There's this detail i also saw, while i was changing pants, i saw that the sky kid's limbs are dark brown to bright yellow, making me think the dark brown shows where the heat comes from, just like a candle burning emitting light.

I don't know if anyone has already said this but some moths use of form of echolocation. They emit ultrasonic clicks to jam bats echolocation. Not all moths tho, only specific species evolved to get this

Im amazed that they muffled the music when your camera is underwater even tho our sky children cant go under the water
well there are a few bodies of water where the programmers seem to have forgotton to add the swim animation, so you can just walk underwater (like one of the lakes by the sanctuary main island waterfalls, one lake in the prairie caves etc).
Idk if this one is popular but while holding your friends hand you can hear your skykids heart beat if you listen closely
And also when you're doing the sleeping emote (that one when your head falls or sleeps like a hamster) if you do the level 3 and 4 emote one you can also hear your skykid Snoring
If you are in a quiet place / home and make your sound super high you can hear the heartbeat of your sky kid
1:36 I remember found this detail by reading the wiki fandom then play the game to saw it, and now this got me thinking, during our first time playing before we get our first winged light, do our sky kid has that candle source?
I believe we do because you start the game with a light source (a candle you can pull out) before you even get your first winged light. And whenever you pass the Eye of Eden and go through that final door to be reborn, you'll notice you receive 1 winged light that isn't counted for by the spirits you've awakened.
Fun fact: Before taking out our candles, we can obviously see a glowing oval on our chest. Take out your candle. Notice that the glowing oval is gone? Maybe the oval was the candle. And if you get partially extinguished( like turning grey, kinda looking like someone anonymous) our glowing oval is no longer glowing, in fact, it’s black.
To clearly see the oval, you can see the oval disappearing and reappearing with a revealing cape or at least capeless or something close. It’s very interesting.

I'm thinking, that their eyes are so bright, that they have to shut them, when they're not wearing their mask to bundle the light or sum
Lol Ik I’m years late but a couple things: first, the chuckle emote sounds different when you are out of light. This is also true when a skykid you haven’t lit does the emote. Second, the bell at the top of the eden portal looks almost identical to the way skykids look in the murals
you can make colour Glitch , all realm can get the colour Glitch , I tried it and works all the time 🤩 Skykid indeed echolocation it's proven when we honk and the bounce show the shape of surrounding , especially at wasteland and trial of fire
If you wear a mask and zoom into your sky child you can see through the mask. It will show that the sky childs real face and shows you the eyes thats closed.
I don't know if this works for all or just for tall sky kids or just to my certain friend but whenever he wears the fluffy white yeti pants white long eyelashes shows
Okay a theory time. So if we look at Eye of Eden and GoldenWasteland we can se a big similarity aka pipes and dark water.(other that krills and crabs) If we look at Irl we can find the pipes and dark water with an ease but it’s not dark water anymore it’s Oil. So my theory is did Sky kingdom tryna use oil (or we can call it dark magic cuz ngl if we think that technology is magic it’s recourse is oil) and failed? And the Sky king got corrupted cuz of that? Cuz if we look at old concept arts we can see a king and prince design. And elders could be the kings helpers? Or if we gonna call them Deity’s King is like Zeus and Elders are Other gods such as Apollo maybe. Maybe that’s why we see the royalty symbol on top of the gate of Eye of Eden and elders faces. Then you may ask how we can explain krills it’s easy Wasteland was a important place I suppose cuz we have learned that traders come there and trade so we would need guards or if we assume that Eden was the capital it would need guards too so what if Kirlls used to be some type of guard dragon and they got corrupted. Also I have a another idea I think the resource of dark magic was wasteland but it got transformed to Eden with pipes. Because if we look at irl oil comes from under of deserts that’s why Arab countries has most oil. Then how I’m gonna explain the war? Well yea a war did happened in wasteland but who fought with who? I think Elders fought the Corrupted sky king. King lost cuz corruption didn’t took over everywhere but changed some places like Isle of Dawn wasn’t a desert before and skyhumans died so does elders cuz they are spirts. ( if you say what about crabs dude crabs are violent in real life too so haha). One last thing if we gonna say that king and elders are not gods which I think like that There must be a god in this game cuz oh BOY OH BOY I have gathered so many pictures that You can clearly see that THIS PLACE IS A RITUAL PLACE and If we look at Season of Prophecy Cave That’s an occult meeting place. Maybe they worshiped the harmony of elements with Light. And even if we look at the games name it is Sky : Children of light it got me thinking did Light god created us to save the world? And we are somehow special? Haha I can come up with so many things. Btw I have a question if we are in Sky and Sky kingdom is in Sky like skyblock from mc then what’s on the land cuz if there is an another kingdom down there then oh boy Forget about everything I said we have a greater plot twist here haha. about the echolocation i was thinking a little bit like that but not exactly because when i tried the trial of fire i used the big honk to find the next candle to light up or to see if the shadow monsters are coming its very cool and useful this kind of thing made me think about bat kids but day version and i love bats

one trick i thought of but not sure of is the ability to steal a light from the death area. Similar to the cape-less glitch, you’d have 3 friends acting like a “bridge” of sorts. You need warp unlocked with both. You’d have one of them die then have your other friend at home with you. Teleport to the dead friend, grab the light, and teleport back. You just got one extra winged light. This may not work, I haven’t tried it.
The blinking even works on the gratitude fox mask too

It’s only a theory, regarding skykids “anatomy” I strongly believe they’re made out of light material and I don’t mean as in light from fire or the sun, I mean physical materials, personally I think they’re made of wood since skykids look “puppet-y” to me but it can be anything, maybe materials that can maintain or possess light in some way like a powered bulb? but one thing I am sure of is that their bones (if they have any) are *hollow*. Any creature that flies like birds have hollow bones bc this makes them lighter and easier to lift for their wings to carry.

I can't tell if it's my memory playing tricks on me or not, but I seemto recall that deep calls also show you the shape or your environment in the dark, exactly like echolocation. I think I use it in the fire trial sometimes. Again, if I recall correctly
In prairie social light area you can hear a heartbeat like sound!
Wearing yeti pants with the "no mask" mask makes the eyes on the "no mask" mask white!
I don't know if you have noticed, but when you go to Eden, when you are in the final cave, it can be heard as if someone is sighing, it also happens in other realms
Little theory: sky kids are kind of sociopathic. As we start without any emotions and mimic the emotions of a spirit, without showing any reaction to their last memory (example: death emote)
How about this one when doing the last trial (trail of fire) you have to beep because it will show a bit of light then you'll find the candles you need to light up
