A heartwarming and 'cranktastic' episode! First A Cranky Christmas, now A Cranky New Year! In all honesty, it's really nice to see Cranky and Edward interact given that Brendam Docks is situated on his branch line, as well as more Rebecca since she's my favorite female character. I really love how the other engines all care for Cranky when he couldn't make it to the New Year's Eve party and because he worked hard he hardly got any recognition. This is a much better version of Party Surprise and Sodor Surprise Day! Also love the song performed by Ringo Starr at the end! Happy New Year!

That is a brilliant episode. I love how Cranky got to be the main character, and the incident with the fireworks was executed way better than 'Sodor Surprise Day'. The countdown part at the end was a surprise and it was a delight to see Rebecca pulling the breakdown cranes. What a music video that was at the end. Happy New Year 🎊.
10 out of 10, Jolly remarkably excellent... well-written storyline, especially to bid a fond farewell to 2023, thus welcoming aboard the fresh new year 2024.... I myself look forward to what the new year 2024 brings, including your very next series of NWR Tales within-between.
