Man, that is a class so many drummers wish they could have attended. It truly hurts to realize he's not with us anymore. Imagine how he would teach a drumeo class, he would love it. Rest in peace Jeff, we really miss you.

Something about those California dudes just so freaking cool. Jeff was a leather jacket wearing, coke bottle cap glasses donning, coolest cat to maneuver a set of drums and cymbals. Just incredible at such a young age. Super tasty.

I'm not a drummer, but a pianist who also plays bass occasionally. Jeff Porcaro is a drummer and man whom I highly regard as being quite possibly the greatest drummer of all time and definitely the one I respect the most. Let him never be forgotten, and studied hundreds of years from now. He left us way too early, but also left a lot to be appreciated.

This video is a rare gem, a chance to peak into the mind of a genius. See how easy it was for Jeff to play anything he heard with such finesse? Noone has even been able to do it the way he could. That's why there was only one Jeff Porcaro. ❤

I love how Jeff gives due respect to Purdie and Bonham for the shuffle beat influence in "Rosanna."

He makes it look so easy too bad he was taken away so young. Can you imagine how much better he would have gotten had he lived to Buddy Rich's age? I remember him saying in one interview that he never played a drum solo in concert because he felt his job was just to keep time and stay out of the way. Kind of the same philosophy of Bernard Purdie who Jeff learned a lot from when he was a kid. And to think that I grew up just a few years behind him within about 10-15 miles of all the Toto members. Thanks for posting.
