I normally do the same from the tip of the brella's range (something I learned playing Tent in S2, when it was actually good), but this actually looks more effective.
Nice! I only thought about the canopy as protection implement, but using it as autonomous attack drone to splat increase dps on the drizzler is astonishingly simple and good idea. Not sure how fast I'll adapt to showering steelheads with pre-shot, though, looks like it might take some practice.
I feel like a lot of these "specialty" weapons with gimmicks are best suited for night waves most of the time. Its always nice to have a certain weapon in a certain scenario, but is outclassed by other regular weapons any other time.

This has been both a great and fun weapon for me, despite the nerf from 2 to 3. The Tentabrella's canopy is highly under utilized in SR. I basically look at it as another sub weapon because of how fast it respawns. Always keep in mind this is a team game. An Tentabella is great for that. If you're no gonna use it yourself and you have the ink to spare, deploy it to help your teammates. At least one of them can benefit from it. That being said, in many cases, (especially on HT Grounds, or LT for any other map), it's pretty much giving you a the ability to deal with threats in one area, while taking care of business elsewhere. In narrow pathways, they are good for stopping Cohocks without having to downside of being pushed to the side. Speaking of which, if you angle the canopy properly between two incoming Cohock, you basically have a wall. You still damage them while it keeps in place. Another amazing thing about the canopy, it provides rushdown opportunities for either yourself or your team.

The fish stick tip is HUGE!! It's one of the biggest issues I have currently with this rotation. Sometimes my teammates are just too busy with other tasks that they forgot to help clear out the base. Now I can clear these guys myself.
Super useful tips, thank you!! ❤️ I love getting the Splat Brella in Salmon Run, but the Tenta Brella was always a little hard to wrap my head around - I'll try and keep these tips in mind next time I get it and hopefully it will start feeling a lot more natural. The Fish Stick trick in particular seems like a real life-saver. I think a quick Explosher guide could be really handy! It's my main in every PvP gamemode, I love it so much - my favourite weapon in the game by far! But it's one that I see a lot of coworkers struggling with. I've noticed people doing things like neglecting its extraordinary wall-painting capabilities, or jumping onto a Slammin' Lid with it instead of exploshing up onto it from ground level, or having serious difficulty getting shots down a Mudmouth's throat (I think people worry, maybe subconsciously, that the lessers will block the shots the way they can for the Inkjet?). I think if you made a guide for it these mistakes could hopefully become less common. It'd also be nice if more people knew how to support an Explosher on their team, such as by accompanying them when they have to fight their way to a distant Flyfish, but that might be out of the scope of a quick guide. 🤷♀️ (Plus - it's a bit embarrassing, but I still don't know how to one-shot both Flyfish missiles silos with one explosh... 😅 It feels too risky to try to practice that during a real shift, since a lot of the time when I try I end up not taking out either silo, which can make the difference between one-cycling it versus having to leave it alive and retreat...)
Tent's always been a favorite of mine in SR very unique strengths amongst what I would consider the high tier weapons. it's like a H3 and a deployable roller slapped together and I enjoy being able to kinda be in two places at once I think a guide on the splatana's is long overdue I see a lot of co-workers struggling with them particularly the damage combos for maiximsing your efficiency (such as the stamper melee charge into horizontal slash to splat 500 HP bosses). Alongside the specific range to land melee charge slahses on drizzlers, that one is kinda unintuitive. That and range blaster being in a weird hybrid playstyle due to the 250 directs giving it great damage thresholds.
One thing I don't like about the tenta brella is that it has a damage cap even if you hit all your pellets. It doesn't make the weapon bad. I just don't like that aspect.
When inking walls with brellas, try keep the wall just out of your maximum reticle range (when the reticle changes colour), because the pellets will spread out and cover more area along the wall. This can also be used to kill Stingers faster!
honestly brellas are my favorite weapons to use in salmon run, the shield allows you push back lesser salmonoids somewhere else, while you focus on something more important.
I know you said this rotation would be hard but honestly I had a lot of fun with it at a lower level (deranked to overachiever before this because we kept wiping at the second round last rotation) aside from just spamming the Splatana my favorite weapon this rotation was actually the tentabrella, so this helps a lot!
I always forget to use the canopy altogether when I have the Tenta. This video will help me remember next time. Also, that fish stick trick is awesome!
Could you maybe do a guide for mothership in the future? I had a match yesterday where we lost on wave 1 because of missing quota during it and want to know what I could have done better
I'm wondering if there's any other tricks for hydra, or any tips for 96 gal? I struggle with a lot more of the heavier, or slower weapons that aren't as ink efficient. Trying to learn them has been interesting. Your dynamo and now this tentabrella guide are very helpful.
For the .96, it's a stupid "trick" but it helps me. Since most of the problems with this weapon comes from mobility and ink consumptions, I have a constant counter going on in my head when dealing with bosses and Cohocks. This is my method of coping with the slow fire rate. This counter is pretty much me counting the shots it takes to kill the aforementioned enemies. In doing so, it saves a little bit of ink and keeps me on the move.

Drizzler hit boxes are annoying. I didn’t think the tenta canopy would even touch them, so nice to know that’s not the case.
