@@invincible8516 Most of the time you get lucky and can roll the window down with out the tint getting caught up. I would give it at least 30 mins sitting in the sun and it should be fine. Got a question If I install this over my existing tint, will the blurriness take longer to go away since there is tint blocking some sunlight from reaching the static cling? Will the blurriness go away at all?
Thats a great question. If you plan on installing it over existing tint, there shouldn’t be an issue of it sticking. The heat is what helps it stick but I would recommend removing the old tint and starting fresh. Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day😁🙏
Hey there trrgamer. Thank you very much. The instructions actually say it will take 1 week for the blurriness to go away. Ive never had to wait that long. My suggestion would be to keep the vehicle in the sun if possible. The heat seems to smooth things out a bit in 3-4 days. I haven’t tried a heat gun or hair dryer to speed the process but that would be my next guess. Just warm the glass from the outside if you plan on doing that. Also don’t get it too hot or keep it one area for very long. I would recommend sticking with the sun method and a little patience😁. Thank you for watching and have a blessed night 😁😎✌️
@@FunkyColdMedinaDIYhey man, I recently installed the 20% on my front windows, and the blurryness went away a tiny bit after a day or so, but is still really noticeable a week and a half later. it has been a little rainy recently, could that be the issue?
@@outdoorsadventures3722 No I dont think so. Just to go through a few checkpoints. Both sides of the glass should be clean before installing it. The glass on the outside can be cleaned after installation. Sometimes dried soap is left behind. If you are installing it on fresh glass with no tint then you shouldn’t have an issue. If you install it on top of tinted glass, make sure the previous tint is in good condition or you will see the defects of the original tint (if it had it). Great question my friend. I made a video on how to install static cling tint for the rear window. You wont meed a heat gun. th-cam.com/video/5eBCrgIL0c4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iaMOdRFiG2kV3dz- Sorry for the late reply🙏 Thank you for watching and have a blessed day🙏😁
I'm heavily considering this for my vehicle but I saw that you typically cut it about a half inch away from the top of the window. Is it because the top of the window will cause friction and possibly lift the tint?
It's exactly that, but you're supposed to do it no matter what tint you use.... If you don't cut the half inch, it will for sure crease your tint once your window is all the way up...
Yes you are absolutely right. That 1/2 inch fits under the rubber trim and you don’t notice it when you have your window rolled up all the way. Great question. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day. Sorry for the late reply😁🙏
Hello Jake, yes it will. I will be making a video on that as soon as I can. I was able to install on the rear window with no issue. It will be about 4 inches short. It does not cover the entire rear window completely but to me its hardly noticeable. Thank you for watching homie and have a blessed day😁😎✌️
🤣you should be ok but I always recommend to follow local laws. Down here in Houston, the cops don’t care a bit🤣Thank you for watching and have a blessed day😎🙏
No absolutely not. You just lay it on and install like I did in the video. Great question. Sorry for the late reply🙏. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day🙏😁
I just installed this Gila Cling Tint on my car and MAN is it blurry. Did I use the wrong soap or what? Do you know the reasoning as to why it's blurry at first then turns out clear in a couple days (hopefully)? I'm curious if taking a heat gun to it would speed up the process. I feel like I am a hazard on the road with how blurry it is
Great question. Yes at first it will a tad blurry bur it will clear up after a couple of days from exposure to the sun. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day😃🙏
Sorry for the very late reply. What did you end up doing? If you still have it on and its still foggy, I would remove it and re-install it (for future reference) I have had that issue once or twice, and I have installed that tint on a lot of windows. It could be that the section of tint you installed is defective unfortunately. Fortunately it is easy to remove and still costs less to buy another roll of tint compared to getting it professionally installed. Again, I am sorry for the late reply, it has been a rough last couple of months. Thank you for your comment and for watching. Have a blessed day😁😎🙏
Thats a great question, that I am not sure of. I would search for static cling window tint colors and see what comes up. It would be cool if they do. Thank you for watching my fiend, sorry for the late reply and have a blessed day😎🙏
Great question, nope not at all, assuming it is installed correctly which is very easy. Ive been using it for years and never had an issue. Thank you for watching, sorry for the late reply and have a blessed day😁🙏
Great question. It definitely depends on the percentage of tint you choose. I have 5% tint on my work truck and man it sure is dark🤣 Driving at night can be a challenge and have to roll my window down a bunch of times just to make sure I don’t hit something 🤣. But during the day its nice and clear. Thank you for watching and for your comment. Have a blessed day😎🙏
Thats a great question. I think it will work but if your taillights have curves to them, a car wash may get underneath the tint and come off slightly. Of course im just guessing. I say give it a shot. I may have some extra tint laying around. Ill see if I can try it out and see what happens. Thank you for your question and have a blessed day 😁😎✌️
@@FunkyColdMedinaDIY thanks for the reply. I think ill give it a go. Going 70% on my Tesla Model 3 headlights and 50% on the tail lights. Ill squeegee it good and let it cure for a few days before washing it. Im in Arizona so it should bond pretty well. Wish me luck bro.

For the a standard vehicle you need 3 rolls. 1 for the front windows, 1 for the back windows and 1 for the rear window. The rear window is about 4 inches short from the bottom but is hardly noticeable. Thank you for your question and let me know if you need anything else. Have a blessed day😁😎✌️I will be making a video shortly on how to tint the rear window by yourself or with a buddy.
Did you use black magic? If so I haven’t had good luck with it. But tips that I can recommend is to 1) Make sure the glass is clean on both sides 2) Clean the tint right before you install it on the other side of the glass. The tint may have dried up soapy water on it. 3) Park the vehicle in the sun. It seems to relax the tint and clear it up. Now it will not be perfectly clear like traditional tint but will be close to it. Whenever I have blurriness issues,it’s because of the top reasons. Great thing is, is that you can peel it right off and re-install it. Let me know if you have any more questions. I will do a comparison one of these days of the Gila, black magic and there was one called Green film on Amazon that someone recommended. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day😁😎✌️

You can definitely try but for My next video, I will be installing it on a curved rear window. It went on without an issue. Stay tuned. Have a blessed day😁😎✌️
It usually takes a few days out being in the sun. If it is still blurry you may need to let it sit for a little bit longer or peel it back and clean the window, spray the soapy water and make sure to get all the liquid out with a squeegee. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day🙏😁

Great question my friend. I made a video on how to install static cling tint for the rear window. You wont meed a heat gun. th-cam.com/video/5eBCrgIL0c4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iaMOdRFiG2kV3dz- Sorry for the late reply🙏 Thank you for watching and have a blessed day🙏😁
Can you do a video for just the front windshield visor
I will put that on list my friend. Thank you for the suggestion. Thank you for watching, sorry for the late reply and have a blessed day😁🙏
I'm heavily considering this for my vehicle but I saw that you typically cut it about a half inch away from the top of the window.
Will it work on curved glass, like the backglass/rear windshield for cars?
Hello Jake, yes it will. I will be making a video on that as soon as I can. I was able to install on the rear window with no issue. It will be about 4 inches short. It does not cover the entire rear window completely but to me its hardly noticeable. Thank you for watching homie and have a blessed day😁😎✌️
@@FunkyColdMedinaDIY, thanks for the info! Looking forward to the video! Did you shrink the film?
@@jakevelasco7440 no sir. Just installed it as is Jake.
I just bought 20% 😅 I’m in Florida hopefully I don’t get pulled
🤣you should be ok but I always recommend to follow local laws. Down here in Houston, the cops don’t care a bit🤣Thank you for watching and have a blessed day😎🙏
It should suppost to stay mine on back windshield just came off and i dnt see any difference
Do you need to shrink the cling tint?
No absolutely not. You just lay it on and install like I did in the video. Great question. Sorry for the late reply🙏. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day🙏😁
Do they make it with ceramic tint
Great question. I don’t believe they do. I haven’t been able to find any but I could be wrong. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day🙏😁
Are there precut tint packages available?
Not that I know of. Every window is different. Its easy to do and I believe you can do it. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day😃🙏
I just installed this Gila Cling Tint on my car and MAN is it blurry.
Thank you for watching and have a blessed day😃🙏
Did it clear up?
I just installed it and it’s been 3 days now and it’s still foggy, will it clear up by then ?
Sorry for the very late reply. What did you end up doing? If you still have it on and its still foggy, I would remove it and re-install it (for future reference) I have had that issue once or twice, and I have installed that tint on a lot of windows. It could be that the section of tint you installed is defective unfortunately. Fortunately it is easy to remove and still costs less to buy another roll of tint compared to getting it professionally installed. Again, I am sorry for the late reply, it has been a rough last couple of months. Thank you for your comment and for watching. Have a blessed day😁😎🙏
Nice truck
Thanks homie and thank you for watching. Have a blessed day😁😎🤣
@@FunkyColdMedinaDIY You too
Do these come in other colors???
Thats a great question, that I am not sure of. I would search for static cling window tint colors and see what comes up. It would be cool if they do. Thank you for watching my fiend, sorry for the late reply and have a blessed day😎🙏
Does it get stuck when rolling window down ?
Great question, nope not at all, assuming it is installed correctly which is very easy. Ive been using it for years and never had an issue. Thank you for watching, sorry for the late reply and have a blessed day😁🙏
Need to check clarity at night
Great question. It definitely depends on the percentage of tint you choose. I have 5% tint on my work truck and man it sure is dark🤣 Driving at night can be a challenge and have to roll my window down a bunch of times just to make sure I don’t hit something 🤣. But during the day its nice and clear. Thank you for watching and for your comment. Have a blessed day😎🙏
Static tint on tail lights. Will it work ? Or will one car wash mess it up ?
@@rudyomic21 Awesome brother. Yes hive it a shot and see what happens. Being in Arizona it will definitely cure quick. I would say just a few hours. Nice car homie. Have a blessed day😁😎✌️
Song name in the beginning please?
Hello TRAVIS08P, the song is called Island by Lakey Inspired. I also always put the credits to music used in the description box. So sorry for the late reply. Its been a rough couple of months. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day and Happy Holidays to everyone. 😁😎🙏
How much tint did you use
For the a standard vehicle you need 3 rolls. 1 for the front windows, 1 for the back windows and 1 for the rear window. The rear window is about 4 inches short from the bottom but is hardly noticeable. Thank you for your question and let me know if you need anything else. Have a blessed day😁😎✌️I will be making a video shortly on how to tint the rear window by yourself or with a buddy.
I used static cling from Walmart and I can’t see out it for shit, any tips? Can you do a comparison
Thank you for watching and have a blessed day😁😎✌️
@@FunkyColdMedinaDIYit just looks like orange peel I hope it clear up, if not ima get a pro to do it
@@fadededgeofficial3714 Yea it wont be perfectly clear like professional tint but you see what you need to see when driving. It’s a bit of the trade off when doing it yourself. I love it and haven’t had any issues. Hope it works out for you. Have a blessed day😁😎✌️
Do you think this film can be heat shrunk for a curved window?
You can definitely try but for My next video, I will be installing it on a curved rear window. It went on without an issue. Stay tuned. Have a blessed day😁😎✌️
@@FunkyColdMedinaDIY when will you have that video out?
@@executiveinvestments In a few days. I have a busy weekend coming so I will do my best to get it as soon as I can. Have a blessed day😁😎✌️
@@FunkyColdMedinaDIY thanks. You too!!
How long until it will clear up it is very blurry right now
It usually takes a few days out being in the sun. If it is still blurry you may need to let it sit for a little bit longer or peel it back and clean the window, spray the soapy water and make sure to get all the liquid out with a squeegee. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day🙏😁
how long do you have to wait until u can roll your window down?
a day if you leave it out in the sun. 3 days if in the shade.
How does this tint do in rainy/bad weather?
Hello Pyro, there are no issues if rainy or bad weather. The tint at first is placed on the outside to trace the window so you can install it in the inside. So it will not be exposed to the elements at all. Thank you for your question and have a blessed day 😁😎✌️
@@FunkyColdMedinaDIY sorry I didn't explain myself, what I meant is does it affect your visibility during bad weather conditions because I know of some Tints that don't let you see
@@PyroTallahassee ahh I got you now. It would be the same as having no tint at all driving through bad weather. Ive driven through terrible rain where I couldn’t see, regardless if there was tint or not. The only I have is if you purchase the 5% tint or lower, it will be difficult to see at night. I do have to roll the window down to see sometimes at night. Bad weather is no issue, assuming its not a strong downpour 🤣 Thank you for clarifying Pyro
I love your car lol

Whats up homie. Go to amazon and search Gila Static Cling Window tint. Then choose the percent of tint you want. I would recommend 5% for the back and 20% for the front. Check local laws. Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day🙏😎
