Try "Primal Rage" for the next one. It's a 2D 1v1 beat 'em up (no clue what the genre is called, basically mortal comabat). Story is neat. You fight as Primal creatures like mostly Dinosaurs, 2 Apes and one unique looking snake thing. Those primal creatures came to earth through a comet, wich also put humanity back to the stone age, and you're fighting for world dominance. Each character has their own continent and you invade their continent and fight over it. Give it a go, it's very good. Special attacks are triggered like in Mortal Combat, so you better look up a special attack sheet online.
Odo odo oddity is a perfekt example why i am so sad about so many Japanese games never came to the west, so many cool and fresh ideas 😊 Thanks for an awesome video my dude ❤️
Yeah. There are some crazy ones. There’s a few that just have different names and looks (like Magical Hoppers, which is Pandemonium over here). So it’s possible some of them can be found under different titles.
Oh man I love Overblood. It's strange to discover that one of your favourite games receives very negative reviews. Overblood has always been a reminder to me that review scores really are slippery and subjective things. Also I like E.T. for Atari so maybe I'm just barmy

Overblood is a great sci fi game. What kept me playing was mainly the exploration, the story and of course Pipo. I will forever bring up this game when talking about ps1 hidden gems. The sequel is a totally different style of game.
A very interesting letter, quite a few games not often talked about.🙂 Was thinking with Off-World it's on-rail navigation probably seems weird because it's such a late entry for that style of racing game so common in the past where you never turned around heh, btw originally on 3DO console so longer in the tooth by default. Iirc the OG one didn't have the MST3K addition in the FMV. Odo Odo Oddity sure does look nice, it was only a few years between dated CGI prerendering and sprites that aged better on PS1. There was a lot of progress in 3D modeling software by the mid 90s. Not saying they're great designs but things like C-12, Omega Boost, and One show at least a refined progress in PS1 game production. Doesn't really push many envelopes but the overall performance in all departments is quite well done in titles like them. Some very nice JP only racing games I wish had left that island, I guess there was just a genre saturation that they didn't think we needed more of them abroad I guess. It has it's pitfalls but I fell in love with Overblood watching the Game Informer Replay of both 1&2. I got a copy and it lived up to what I saw in that playthrough lol. I'd really love to have a Pipo.🥰 Not sure why OB2 only in EU and not NA but an interesting game universe. Overboard is a solid enough game, reminds me a lot of the Micro Machine RC style games made over the years with it's wide angle and toy like scale of your vehicle on screen.
O.D.T. well u showed the first lvl only, there are several more, and like two endings, depending what difficulty u play on, easy, u get whatever u do the bad ending, normal and hard u get the good ending, BUT u need to like complete certain criteria. Those are: U need to assemble the green pearl container, miss just one part of it (7 overall, one u get for free at the start of the first lvl from a crewmate, and the rest are in all of the lvls, in the 6th u have 2 of those parts) and well the bad ending. Why? Because the final level wont unlock (i think its a bit stupid, but hey). The story is not bad actually. Every lvl followed up by a fmv that will explain some stuff. U lvl up ur stats and spells U mention this but what u dont mention is spells cause u dont have or just a few at the start. All levels end with a boss fight and all are unique and the way to handle them is unique too. I think this game is a real hidden gem, probably thats why on the list :). Anyway a remake would be nice just not that crushing difficulty, and like more checkpoints at least, so if falling to ur death at least u dont have to backtrack too much etc. Also u have some few puzzles. And many irritating enemies. Some really annoying ones. Played the game twice, first time i didnt find all the pieces of the container, so the bad ending for me, red pearl and plague all over the world. Second time found all container parts, normal difficulty and did find all the gas needed 45 in total. Somewhere i read there are 48 canisters, but yeah i doubt that. Unless im blind. Game is hard, maybe on purpose, maybe not, maybe just need to get used to. I dont know. It was hard. Especially the platforming, i did fall mostly to my death and not dying cause of enemy fire. Enemy fire is better, cause u have a healthpool, so it will chip out of that little or lot from that. But if u fall, u dead, u lose one of ur lifes. Those can be find, mostly hidden, sometimes not really. Since i did play this on PC and got frustrated, but i was a lot younger and very impatient so yeah, i did give up in frustration. Still i managed to get to i think the 3rd or 4th lvl before i had enough. Now i did play but on Duckstation and yes save states, used them as quick saves, before the tricky jumps etc. Tried to avoid using them, but it was easier somehow when i did save before those jumps and i didnt fail very often, just here and there, but it like makes u brain more focused and calm, cause u know u have it saved if u should fall and u donthave to lose life so often. Anyway I know its maybe look down upon, but i dont really care makes the game a bit easier and a lot of fun and all the locations are very different. The enemies change too, as u progress u get newer ones all the time. But later when u have like missile spell and freeze they are not a real threat. Again the main problem are the platforms. I think if u want to avoid like getting a nervous breakdown, i suggest go with emulation adn save states, or something like that. Or if u really like challenge and u dont mind repeating shit over and over, go for the PC version instead. Its on GOG, or should be. And the graphics should be way better especially if its catered to it to play it on bigger resolutions. I did play it in 4k but still i think the PC version look way better. But the downside is u cant use save states, so u must be legit chill person and focused to get through. I think. Also lastly the ammo is an issue for the first like two lvls, but after that ull get better spells, and ull use weapons only if u need to, sporadically on some enemy types or turrets. Etc. Ull get by Spells. Since mana shouldnt be an issue. Theres a trick to it. U need Healing spell and Mana spell, max it out.( so not useable from the start, not really, the real gains will be i think when the spells are lvled to 3 stars both, at 4th its even easier to maintain ur health and mana pool). U wont need the mana and health u find too often. Maybe like in some occasion if u face a boss, or a challenging situation, and u cant heal urself fast enough, the game heals u automatically mostly, consuming one of the health orbs things. Poor graphics sure, still oddly nice a remake would be great, but i doubt itll happen. Dark Souls/like games are hard, but this is up there with them i think. I know i did write a lot about this game, but just cause its really good one. I thought about it replaying all those years, yes for 20yrs or more, but like never got to it. Now i did and its great, good whatever. Recommend it.
