So glad that producers let her continue in the competition and sing for us from home. And it really paid off. This was her best performance so far imo.
Imagine this performance with a studio microphone, would be orgasmic.

This was incredible. Wow! Singing like that with covid and she even said she was afraid she wouldnt manage to sing because her throat and voice wasnt the best because she was sick….and she did THAT!! With a simple iphone microphone she managed to capture everyone in the audience and at home from a little screen, now that is world class! So impressive!
i didn't want her to stop .....i was enjoying every bit of the performance....
As a (non-professional) singer myself, I am in total awe about her ability to create an emotionally charged atmosphere with almost nothing but her voice! I immediately had to buy her The Voice live performances on iTunes as well, these performances will be iconic 🥰

Mathilde's voice makes me travel quickly to another universe.. insane
Its crazy how good she sound with a simple iphone microphone in her living room with covid and a sore throat. She was afraid she couldnt sing. She managed to capture the audience, the judges and us at home from that little screen, thats impressive.

Mathilde performing through a screen from isolation at home, singing like it is about a loved one, maybe lost - in the skies, in the clouds, in the ocean. To me this is such a strong symbol of the pandemic we all have been struggling through the last two years. I also can't stop thinking about the countless families and loved ones now torn apart by a horrendous war, with only their phones to keep in touch with those who stayed behind, not knowing if they'll ever see them again. It just breaks my heart. 💔 The performance is just superb, with the band also doing an amazing job. I think they changed the scale from the original (to C major?) to match her voice even better. I would love to hear her full 5 minute interpretation of the song, but in just 2 she still manages to take us from the simple and vulnerable to powerful and hopeful, with just the right amount of subtle vibrato to build up under the storytelling. Whatever happens in The Voice, I really REALLY hope enough people will see her talent to make her able to have a great career as a singer and artist!
I fully agree, she’s on par with singers like Aurora, having rooted her style in her unique vocal character and style. She has to go on tour in Europe! Please 🥺
Nobody was struggling through a 'pandemic', we were struggling through GOVERNMENT instigated LOCKDOWNS, i.e. tyranny. What is the Case Fatality Rate for Covid 19? What is the average age of those who allegedly died 'from' or 'with' Covid 19? Do you know that it's the same as, or older than, the average age of death in your country? Stop promoting the lies of the media, which is how those in power are able to control us all...
I've listened 3 times, got teary even before Matoma. I'm transported somewhere else each time. All the best for Mathilde (and Jørgen Dahl Moe) for the future.

Mathilde hadn't got my attention so far; but this performance (even behind the screen) gave me goosebumps, this was fantastic. Now I'm truly rooting for her. :D

Mathilde had so much calmness and she poured so much heart and feelings in the performance and that too from being at home and with minimal equipments, which is beyond amazing! Mathilde has that ability to instantly connect with the audience and having that is one of the best things in the performance!!
Tara is such a strong vocalist. She has such an awesome range and she really took the song in the higher ranges. These knockouts are a bloodbath.
If i had a choice, I'd definitely pick Mathilde cause she has delivered such performance being at home, and if on stage, she can just kill it !

This (up until the knock-out rounds) was recorded earlier (they still sang live in front of an audience), so she is healthy again now. From next round and out, its when the live shows begin where people get to vote the best ones through.

Amazing. The warmth and depth of her voice remind me so much of Karen Carpenter. Feels like she is wrapping you in a warm blanket when she sings. She is completely enveloped in the songs.

This song is so beautiful and I knew right away when she told she was going to sing it that it would be emotional, something special and incredible Imagine if she was on stage singing it with the same sound as the others and with a healthy throat and voice (I hope she will release this song with better aound cause I even think its better than the originql, and I love the original).
Can we have a female and a male winner this year? (Mathilde and Jørgen), or even 3 winners, cause Emma is also suberb. All of them with an exceptional way of delivering the story and emotions. Last year we had Maria Petra, this year we have so many great story tellers on top of their amazing voices (also Maria, Audhild, Andre A, Mathea, Emilie ….. )

I have to wonder how they deal with the latency involved with remote performances...
She sings live and the band plays along to her singing. They had rehearsed as everyone else on the sound check so she was probably given the instrumental of the band playing the exact same, and she hears that in her ears and not the band playing live. The band played along to her so that it felt like she was there singing live for the audience and mentors. Thats how they dealt with latency (or that wasnt an issue). Did that make any sense? The sound is of course not as good as if she sang live cause she sings through some simple mobile mic.

On another note. Was this preformed live or did she record this beforehand? Wouldn't it be an issue with latency compared to the band if she sung it live?
She probably have the music of the song/band in her ears and the band plays along to her singing. I’m not sure she hears the band in the Tv-studio, but she sing to the music. If that made any sense. Everone of the contestant has had rehearsals/sound checks, so she was probably given the instumental music the band plays….just a guess? I’m pretty sure its live though. She could rehearse as everyone else, but she had to perform live as all the others or else she could just record the best one and that wouldnt be fair (even though she still had a big disadvantage).
btw what you said about her trap you in her world, can be said about Jørgen too. Those two (and maybe Emma) are on another level

Also I agree with Jørgen and mabye a few others also having this trapping ability, however for me personally Mathilde is the best one at that. But overall, she and Jørgen are definitely the best ones this year in my opinion

The song itself is so good. The original is very good. But I wanna say this is equally good as the original. WIth Covid aswell. Amazing performance. Someone sign this artist and give her a good deal.

@@Afrodife She was in the last group who performed this two days ago (Friday). She sang «Hunting high and low» by A-ha. Sadly she lost her duel against Niklas. I bet if viewers had the chance to vote for everyone regardless of teams she would still be in t(e competition. I think she was the best in the whole competition along with Jørgen..
