I saw them with my wife 3 times-they were great who had a good time --i will miss seeing them alive-RIP Maurice and Robin--I think Robin had the best voice
Robin and Barry can barely contain their excitement while the audience looks as if they were all fed horse tranquilizers before the show...LoL...Excellent video, Thanks!!
Such precious footage of these amazing lads who started singing harmonies together as kids in their bedroom - just one of so many great hits from the amazing BEE GEES!!
golly gosh! I turned 50 on the 9th of July and grew up with the Bee Gees, have a tear in my eye, since two of them are now gone. Still have a major crush on Barry Gibb, hahahah LOL
My favorite was always Robin. He still is. I know we all have our favorites, and I understand that. They were the greatest band ever. I miss the Bee Gees. RIP dear Robin. Maurice, and of course Andy. Thank you Baby for keeping you and brothers music alive. I love the Bee Gees music always.
Very special concert, beautifully filmed, at Festival Hall Melbourne. It was their first concert "home" after their move back to the UK. Can you imagine the welcome they received - hence their lovely smiles of delight. Aust. adored these boys, and they had already outlasted any other aussie group in the international charts at this stage. WE WERE SO PROUD OF THEM!
The very first concert I ever went to was in 1971 to see the Bee Gees during this tour with the orchestra. They were at the Wolf Trap in Virginia. It's a real treat to have found this video.
A great song. I loved watching this. Bee Gees in their prime. Before that silly disco stuff. Such a long time ago & it makes me sad to know two are gone. RIP Maurice & Robin... And Andy too. Thanks for posting this.
Best music ever and that's coming from a Gen.Xr but the Tone of the audience isn't disrespectful... exactly the opposite ! My mom's sister youngest sister got me on to Bee Gees and beetles and back in the days to sit and listen was to show Respect and they're still motionless..😮😂❤ To each his own ..jump sit be still ... enjoy however you like this great band❤
Totally digging these Bee Gees grew up with this group listened to them when I left for Viet Nam and still listen to them to this day, thanks for the memories.
Classic,, They were so accomplished long before their foray into R & B ,,so much mistaken as disco,,but then maybe some was disco.. They rocked and were up there next to the Stones and Moody Blues , Beatles with ballads ,,harmonies,..strings,,
I read an article about David Bowie recently. He said when he wrote Space Odyssey he was trying to do a sound like the Bee Gees were doing because "they are so good"
Memories from when I was a kid.. I remember so vividly..this song and I'm a walking around at night in the winter time with my long black maxi coat thinking I was so badass.
I was 15 or going on 15 when this song came out in 1971 but of I recall right it was early 1971 when it first came out so I was 14 when it first came out ! Its always been a favorite song they have done ! Been a fan since Words came out in 1967 or early 1968 so I was 11 going on 12 when that one came out ! Always love The Bee Gees songs !
My all time favorite BeeGees song. Still have my bro's 45 rpm (RIP). Since it was released, was 10. Bro was a hippy from 71-74, then culture got him.... o.d 'd in 74 at 16. Iv pentobarbital. Super high IQ but did dumb things. MWe .oved back to USA in 66 from Congo. Culture shocked. The Beatles and the birth control pill happened while we were gone...fd eva-tang up, to this day. Released individuals from personal responsibility and turned them to self lovers/self-gratificatifiers and sheer selfishness, which us coming to a head now. Everyone's a victim and is somehow owed something. I HD no step up, no privilege, but lots if anguish, pain and abuse inflicted upon me, which I over overcame without a handout. Achieved my doctorate in RX. Paid back ALL my loans. Not a soy cucck .
Beautiful! So talented.I think more than the Beatles. The bee gees had huge commercial success but imo it's not commonly known, that they were gifted songwriters
Amazing group are truly superstars and my how I value them. Sadly missed and oh my how brave Barry has endured heartache of such sadness. We all can honour the memories of such wonderful artists who gave so much.Barry is wished the very best.He is a awesome guy.
I WAS"NT EVEN BORN YET AND I LOVE THE BEEP OUT THIS GROUP!!! , BUT THEY WERE ALL STILL AROUND AND PLAYING SOON AS I WAS OLD ENOUGH TO PUT ON A RADIO! ! TO HEAR THEM AND ANDY... I ONLY HOPE THEY ARE ALL AT PEACE.. THANK YOU FOREVER! (Barry may still be with us?) 2022... I PLAY THIS AND ALL THEIR SONG AS LOUD AS I CAN!! I WATCH THESE CONCERT VIDEOS AND EVERYONE IS LIKE A DUD.??? WHO KNOWS. I AM GOING TO BE JUMPIN TILL THE END!. TODAY MUSIC IS ??
Listeneng here March, 24, 2021. Kool, that's the way it should be, full orchestra to this song. Much enjoyed this vid. Such a awesome musical composition.
Very good memories of this song listening to it often while stationed at FT Bliss, TX in 1970 - 71. My first assignment after serving in Vietnam. Just bought a brand new 1971 "British Racing Green" VW Super Beetle. It seemed like I had the world by its tail. I attended the First Baptist Church in EL Paso regularly during this time period ....where I met some really nice Texan young ladies. Yes...Some very good memories!
They didn't 'go' disco. They explored many different styles of music over decades. Disco was a tiny part of the vast library of excellent songwriting/singing that they have put out there, before and after.
Exactly my thoughts after listening to this having not hearing it in years, and waking up to it in my head. They don't put music together like this anymore.
THIS WAS THE ONLY PIECE OF SHEET MUSIC THAT I EVER BOUGHT FROM PALINGS IN QUEEN STREET, BRISBANE; AND I STILL HAVEN'T LEARNT TO PLAY IT ON THE PIANO - I'M SO LAZY!!!!
Would you please post the video of Robin Gibb singing "I Can't See Nobody" live at this same concert (Festival Hall, 1971)? It's the best dramatic performance of a song I've ever seen, and it's a classic period piece. Thank you.
The Bee Gees fan don´t have all videos files and clipes of her idols. In RIYA I see some rare videos. Please, put more Bee Gees posts. Thanks, from Brazil.
a great song from, who were at the time, a great band (others will suggest they were better in their disco years, I disagree because this song, as an example, is so inovative, please feel free to disagree)
great song, but a weird thought, if the song was written today would they have to sing "lonely days, lonely nights, where would I be without my gender neutral partner"?
This is my favorite BeeGee’s song.
Mine too. I was born during this year as well, a very special time.
DITTO
To me this is a forgotten treasure of music
The Bee Gees are the GREATEST group to EVER grace the music world....There will NEVER be ANOTHER group like them....EVER!!!!
The Beatles raise up their hand....
Wish I could turn back the clock and have them all together again.
Thanks to the brilliant team at AMPEX who invented videotape recording,
so we could enjoy this, forever.
I saw them with my wife 3 times-they were great who had a good time --i will miss seeing them alive-RIP Maurice and Robin--I think Robin had the best voice
I wish we could too. Linda
😢
Robin and Barry can barely contain their excitement while the audience looks as if they were all fed horse tranquilizers before the show...LoL...Excellent video, Thanks!!
God. What happened to music? This is so beautiful.
I know right ever since then has gone down hill.
Summer ‘71, finishing up a morning class at noon of algebra2 , got in car and this song was on the radio. Great song.
My favorite!!! These 3 guys were fantastic! Truly spectacular!!!!! I love me some Bee Gees. I adore Mo 💖🎩😍🎶🎹
In Loving Memory of the BeeGees
🎼EXCELLENT VIDEO!!
Thank you for sharing!

I love Robin. He has a beautiful vulnerability to him.
Every performance, every live version, every recording that they did of this song is spectacular!! ❤❤❤
Robin's an absolute treasure. There are no words to describe him!
I'll forever love Robin's wonderful voice!
Such precious footage of these amazing lads who started singing harmonies together as kids in their bedroom - just one of so many great hits from the amazing BEE GEES!!

I still have a high crush on Maurice. ❣ My sister jokingly says she'll put a photo of him in my grave with me some day...

@@kerrypapworth1526 Yes, me too. I saw the Bee Gees in '74.
allymayful what a wonderful concert it would have been. The first concert I saw at Festival Hall was Leo Sayer when I was 16.
@@kerrypapworth1526 My friend went to a fairly recent concert with Leo and Lulu. She loved it.
You really get to to hear mo and robin harmonies on this one!!!

Nice to see Mo ticking those ivories.🎹
I think you will find that he “tickled” the ivories…

It looks like the audience is sedated compared to concerts today! This is a great song! Love the Bee Gees!
licksnkicks , The audience should have stayed home. If I would have been there, I would have danced my ass off. ❤️🌹❤️
It's only this audience. Watch their other performances, you'll see people going crazy.
Best music ever and that's coming from a Gen.Xr but the Tone of the audience isn't disrespectful... exactly the opposite ! My mom's sister youngest sister got me on to Bee Gees and beetles and back in the days to sit and listen was to show Respect and they're still motionless..😮😂❤

Robin...those eyes when he is singing. Beautiful
Yea
Classic Bee Gees song.
Bill Shepherd orquestral arrangement.
The Bee Gees maked your shows in the 60's and 70's with full orquestra..beautyful.
Totally digging these Bee Gees grew up with this group listened to them when I left for Viet Nam and still listen to them to this day, thanks for the memories.

Wish I could time travel 😉 one of my top favorite clips of this song being performed. The cameras showcased each of them 🙂
I loved the early years of the BGs , great stuff 👍
fantastic!

Very cool, being redundant, most of the crap put out today can't hold a candle to stuff like this.

But how can this compare to todays cRAP,cRAP-STARS,
One person has very lonely days.
This is the outfit that keeps yanking clips off TH-cam, including clips from the 1971 Festival Hall concert.

where would I be without my woman?...well, I would have a wallet and bank account full of money.
Good one 🙂
So.... Where's the orchestra?
I see some behind the guys but they're in the shadows.

Wow is that out of sync...The singing. Geez.
great song, but a weird thought, if the song was written today would they have to sing "lonely days, lonely nights, where would I be without my gender neutral partner"?
Sounds weak to me.
I wouldnt buy it if those were the lyrics... they were straight and loved women. Why complicate things 🙃
Boring
