Thanks for featuring our Sam's Journey among all those great NES titles! Videos like yours help increase the awareness of our niche market within a niche market and are therefore very much appreciated. 🙂
That specific tune from Astro Ninja Man sounds like Recca Summer Carnival because it was composed by Nobuyuki Shioda himself (the same composer). Astro Ninja Man, like all the RIKI games, is a true chiptune album, composed through the collaboration of famous chiptune composers.
Alfonzo's Arctic Adventure is a sequel to Eskimo Bob: Starring Alfonzo, based on the long running online cartoon series of the same name. Also, Sam's Journey was originally a C64 homebrew, I believe. It's expensive, but it's an incredible game!
Thank you for showing these cool games out! I'm not familiar at all with the homebrew scene, so this has been really cool for seeing what people are working on!
You should definitely try "Full quiet", made by the same guys behind Halloweem '87, It's the closest thing to a survival horror you'll find on the system
I didn't know about Astro Ninja Man, just bought the DX version thanks to the link you provided. I've been preparing my NES/Commodore 64 review of Sam's Journey for the past week or so (tho it won't go up until January due to scheduling probably) and I was looking for some new NES games I might have missed and boy oh boy was I going to miss out on an incredible game. Can't wait to play Astro Ninja DX on a CRT! :D Thanks for this video!
There is a great one that I played a while ago. The title is French so I dont remember the spelling too well but something like L'abbey de mortes. But the game can be played without knowing French. This was really awesome and a must play.
What I like about homebrew games is that the game designers actually took the time and actually make art then games with a time zone. Pretty soon we will have home brew for ps5 in the distant future. homebrew DLCs will be a thing.

I was fortunate enough to help fund Halloween '87 this spooky season. Can't wait for next Halloween 🎃
My captain reporting back to the ship from the afk shores, those paywall treasures looks amazing!

IMO every one of these people absolutely deserve to make money from their work and should be supported.
