The week having 7 days joke reminded me of the time Jackson went to McDonald's and he said "I ordered 8 chicken nuggets but I only got 7" and he didn't even realize what he'd just said.
I am SO happy to see more GOT7 here!! I recommend watching Look, Lullaby, Breath, and Last Piece. And since you just watched their debut song, watching their latest comeback in 2022 called NANANA would be fun next. Also, their dance practices and live versions are always recommended if you're able 💚
Fun fact: Jungyeon and Nayeon, who later debut as members of Twice, appeared in GOT7's "Girls Girls Girls" MV way before Twice's debut. Twice is GOT7's little sister group. GOT7 debuted in January 2014, Twice didn't debut until October 2015, so this was almost a year and a half before Twice's debut. The members of Twice were actually featured in at least 5 other JYP groups' MVs when they were still trainees. Which included more than one of GOT's MVs.
GOT7 originally was created to be the junior version of JYP's senior boy group 2PM. As you many remember, 2PM debuted in 2008 and they were the first Kpop group to coin the term beast idols. So, GOT7 was supposed to take after them, that's why GOT7 debuted with the song "Girls Girls Girls." It's supposed to be slightly cocky and have the feel of "teenage boys with too much confidence." It's also one of the reasons why Mark and Jackson trained in martial arts stunting and tricks, like the flips you saw in the MV. That was also something 2PM was known for -- in the beginning 2PM's choreography had a lot of B-boy moves, etc.
Plus, JB (Jay B), GOT7's leader, has a background as a B-boy, so it was a natural fit for him.
Mark is the main stunter and tricker in GOT7's choreography. He has a background in gymnastics and, as trainees, he and Jackson trained a lot in martial arts where they focused on flips and power moves.
It’s funny that you said you like their swagger because they have a song called “My Swagger.”
Try watching some of their dance practices, some of them are unhinged.

The reaction to the lyrics is so valid. 😂 Tbf, even the got7 members now don't like hearing the lyrics of some of their earlier songs. Imagine bunch of 16 to 21 yo boys singing those lyrics thinking they're so cool at the time bc that's how their company like them to be perceived. Their debut was a good song but I think we collectively agreed to ignore the lyrics. 😅
Anyways, they've started writing songs (bsides) as early as their debut year but only in 2017 they've got a chance to have a title track completely written by the member. It was You Are in the album 7 for 7. Btw that album has 7 songs and every song has a member/s that worked on it. All 7 of them were credited in that album.
