Crossriggs sounds so intriguing, I’d never heard of the authors or the title. I’ll be reading Romantic Outlaws for the We Love Jenny readathon, I know how much she loved that book and Mary Shelley. Have a great reading month Kate!
So loving Crossriggs so far! Oh my goodness! I've just seen that my library has an audiobook of Mrs 'arris Goes to Paris! I'm going to have to work really hard to save it for March. LOL
I just love your cozy ideas for this month, such a lovely video. In memory of Jennifer Brooks I will be reading The Oxford Shakespeare Anthony and Cleopatra. She was so excited about this particular edition that I special ordered it right away. It was in her last video. Thank you Kate 💔
I've started reading 'The Wanderer' by Fanny Burney for Febregency, I've read a few of her novels but not that one. Last year I read a poem every day which was great and I'm sure Jenny would approve of my Byron/Shelley/Keats bias. I may read 'The Romantic Outlaws' biography - Jenny interviewed the author, if I don't get to it this month, I will in the future. I intend to regularly read Jenny's recommendations, so possibly a Romantasy book and maybe a Wilkie Collins come Victober.
Hi Kate! Thank you for giving me more ideas for reads that I've never heard of. I absolutely love your channel so much. It's my favorite bookish channel right now. ❤❤❤
Oh! The Luckiest Girl. I'm hoping you will love it as much as I (and your friend) do. After numerous rereadings, my eyes still get a bit misty with sentimental tears over this one. At Shelley's age, I had much in common with her and always she takes me back to those bittersweet days of teenhood. :)
Thanks for the reminder of The Grasmere Journal. I also had been reading it and kind of forgot about it. I was enjoying it as I had hiked across that area. I’m curious to read Crossrigs, but might wait to hear what you think about it. The my TBR list of books that I really want to get to this year is long. I don’t have a reading goal for it, I just really want to read them as soon as I can get to them. So many great books, so little time.
You always find the most interesting sounding books I've never heard of! I am intrigued by Crossriggs. Also, i thought I'd read everything by Beverly Cleary but i definitely didn't even know she wrote young adult romance. Now I'm curious!

The first chapter was lovely so I hope the rest of the book lives up to it. Romantic Outlaws is wonderful!

Jodi, that is a bittersweet book purchase. I hope you really enjoy it!
This is wonderful. Thanks Kate ❤
Thanks for running it!
You have some interesting choices here! I can’t wait to hear what you end up thinking of these ❤
My 3 yo and I are loving Henry Huggins audiobook! 😅♥️
I am listening to TheVilla.
As usual I can't wait to hear what you think so I can add to my TBR.😅

That all sounds so wonderful! She would have been so honored. I'm definitely going to try a penny dreadful during Victober.

This is lovely to hear! I have a feeling I'm going to absolutely adore it.
I really liked Dear Henry…the townsfolk are so funny. It’s got great comedy.
That's great to hear!

Dear Henry sounds a bit like The Bells Are Ringing
